Fun arcade bar with nostalgia for all ages!…read more There are 2 floors with multiple bars and arcade games of all decades throughout. There's also skeeball on both floors but we prefer playing the one on the lower level. Pinball machines are also on both levels. Tokens can be purchased at the bar or from one of the several token machines. UpDown has friendly bartenders and frequently has theme nights and seasonal cocktails to match the holiday or theme. You can order pizza at their pizza window and it is the only food they offer. The slices are huge though! During summer, it's fun to sit on the patio off the upstairs level. Been going to UpDown for years and it's always a good time for everyone!

Do not let that deter you. The space is much larger than it looks. There is an indoor bar and an outdoor bar with some table games and outdoor seating. There is a separate pick up window for snacks. They offer pizza by the slice, hot dogs and other goodies. The food is cheap and the pizza was solid for the price. The games require tokens which you can purchase at the bar. They have just about every game you could want! Even had a Super Nintendo set up, Dane Revolution, and my all time favorite skee ball!! My Zennial spirit was happy for this bit of nostalgia.

We got to see play and do so MANY things all active and the girls loved the play areas ...all of them. The bathrooms were clean and strategically placed...I was pleasantly surprised. The parking is close!...& I liked the exercise...our girls napped so hard after the visit. I am in firm belief that the overall planning and logistics of this place are professionally done & handled well! This venue is a must visit if in the area and you like hands on action. The girls had a blast and that is what matters most!! 10/10 times I will return.. for the price I paid... I could see myself doing this again with a longer stay in the area! Sidenote the people in guest service station were super awesome... All workers that interacted with our family had smiles on their faces and were so helpful. I feel for the price I paid...it was well worth it! We will return! *Questions reach out* Respectfully, Bryan and Family Oklahoma City

So much fun! The first visit was nearly 10 years ago. That time was fun too…read more On my most recent visit, it was just as much fun. I think I had forgot just how many different holes and paths you could take. They've also added more stuff than I remember. They had a section roped off because they're adding yet another section. I wasn't sure I'd enjoy the place as much this time around but I did. This is a must-visit when in StL but be warned, you will be tired after playing on this adult playground. The only annoyance this time is that I seem to remember that you could pay one price and get everything. This time, there was the general ticket that gives you access to 3 floors but no roof access. No pinball access. You have to pay extra for those two things. I guess extra charges make sense but just wrap the price all in one. I feel like the floors and roof should be in one ticket. There were a few times that employees came out on the roof to run people off that didn't have the appropriate color of bracelet. If you love having fun, definitely do this when visiting StL.

I like to say that Laclede's is so grungy it's good. Really…read more My spouse and I stopped in for a visit during our anniversary weekend. I hadn't been here since 1993, and was too young then to see the Chamber of Horrors. I really wanted to return for this reason. We entered the museum and were greeted by a very friendly staff person working at the counter. She gave us the run down of what was on each floor, etc. Only $10 per person (I think it was) to go through the museum. Upon entering the storefront the wax figures look pretty accurate (these are also the best ones) - E.T., Shrek, Captain Jack Sparrow, The Hulk. Make your way up to the second floor and things get a little... interesting. Laclede's opened in 1983, so it's very possible a lot of these figures were installed then, and being wax in a poorly ventilated building, have aged accordingly. Johnny Cash, John Denver, Michael Jackson, the Royal Family, Patrick Swayze, Snow White and Seven Dwarfs, the science from The Last Supper have all seen better days. Several of the wax figures were even falling apart. Kind of creepy to see wax figures without hands. By the time you get to the Marvel characters like Iron Man and Captain American things look a little less haggard. Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones still looked pretty good, too. Poorly, poorly lit areas. Some of the lighting in the display cases wasn't working at all, so you didn't know what you were supposed to be looking at. Name plates are gone, so that was a fun game my husband and I got play. Audio/visual that accompanied some of the scenes was very old and/or inoperable, too. We got to the Chamber of Horrors (via a staircase to the basement) and it was was pretty darn spooky. Really loud, lots of flashing lights, and animatronics. Warning signs are posted, so heed the warning! I'm not overly sensitive to these things but I did want to get out of there and not linger. It was generally just kind of gross. This is not a place to visit if you can't do stairs, have poor eyesight, are afraid of the dark, narrow or cramped spaces, don't like that grungy feeling, etc. It's a maze. Not ADA accessible and as far as a I know no elevator. I think we spent about an hour here. The museum is located in the Historic District near the Old Spaghetti Factory Restaurant. We parked in a public lot that was monitored by an attendant. Only close to a casino - Horseshoe I think it was. The employee working told us to 'be safe' when we left, which we appreciated and questioned. Big ice cream case if you need something sweet after your tour. $10 is not at all too much for this unforgettable experience. Without hesitation, I recommend.

The figures are quite dusty and have some haphazard arrangements that could really pop with a set decorator who gives a damn. The plusses are that it only cost $10 and the variety of different displays. This is not a world class exhibit but a cheap treat for those seeking odd entertainment. Call ahead to ensure they are open. Within walking distance of the Old Spaghetti Factory, Kimchi Guys, and a many lofts that have killed a bit of the foot traffic. Paid parking adjacent. Nothing costs $10 anymore. EDIT: The horror levels of the museum (the most interesting aspect) have been removed by the owner to make way for mini golf. The crucifixion of Christ on Golgotha has also been removed.

The location of this theater is in close proximity to the Dome, Convention Center, Arch, and Baseball Stadium. The theater is located in the upper level of the building. Upon entering the lobby you see the bar to your right. The bar offers limited seating, food, and drinks. I did not purchase food or drinks during this visit. Walking to the main concession area, which is where you purchase your movie ticket (4:30pm Sat showtime $7.50), and concessions. My movie was in theater #1. Immediately i was impressed by the size of the theater. Each seat is a plush recliner, set up in pairs, with a cup holder and small table. Seating was general admission (not assigned seats). Spacing between rows is very comfortable. During previews the projection system overheated. We had to wait 10-15 minutes for staff to let it cool and reboot. Staff communicated and addressed the issue quickly. The movie began about 30 minutes after planned start time. A small issue for me is how the house lights remain on during previews, taking away from the experience slightly. Overall a positive experience, staff were friendly, communicated well, and thanked guests upon exit.

A little cheesy, but cute. Lots of big and well-lit, clean aquariums for my little girl to get up close and personal and look and learn. I loved the Doctor fish area where you can basically get a fish manicure - I've never done anything like that before and it was sooooo cool! The second floor is more interactive with the touching stations for jellyfish, feed and pet the stingrays and more. I loved the small toddler play area for my daughter and the interactive water station. They also have different pets and shows at different times all day long where you can learn about all sorts of things - while we were there it was a leopard gecko which was so cute! It's not very big - but, they make good use of the space they have and it's located in the beautiful Union Station area with dining and other things to do nearby with plenty of paid parking. There is the St Louis Farris Wheel, a soda fountain, and carousel as well as a train. You can buy a pass for the adventure ropes course up above and the selfie museum as a package to save some money. We didn't this time, but I do want to come back to the selfie museum in the future - it's only $10 per person and looks cute and fun.

About half of us had done an escape room before, so we could compare differences to how Adventures of Intrigue worked. Here's the feedback: Adventures of Intrigue is really great for those that want to do an escape room without the heavy pressure/competition. Which for my family, is very fitting. It's also a WAY better option for kiddos, and seemed like some of the options were catered to kids, which is awesome. Our only complaint is we would have loved one that was really hard. The Save the Queen was rated as pretty difficult, and it still seemed pretty easy for those of us who do puzzles regularly! I don't want to compete, but I do want to be challenged. With that, the way they set things up was SO FUN and unique. Whoever thought of this has such a cool imagination. We loved searching around and finding all the little details. They did a fantastic job with setting the building up, I can't wait to see what else they add. After our escape room, we did an hour in the live video game room. They had cameras tracking our activity so we could pay games physically. Holy moly this place is COOL. Another unique concept that was a freaking blast. The workers were all so kind and fun, and really seem like they love their jobs. Such a cool spot for adults or kids alike. Highly recommend to everyone.

There were groups of children doing adventures as well, so it seems like it's good fun for all ages. I love that you can go through the adventures at your own pace and don't have a time limit. I also like that we were able to do an adventure where we battled in teams within our group. I think that was really exciting in a good spin!
