STAGES has phenomenal actors. This was truly one of the best plays/performances I have ever seen in my life... and I've seen many a show. We saw Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and as someone who had never even really heard of Carole King... WOW! I was speechless from the brilliant acting and phenomenal voice of the lead. The staff were super friendly and helpful as well. I'll review the venue separately (Kirkwood Performing Arts Center)... but it was beautiful and super modern! 11/10 experience!

Wow first time here and I was so impressed with the professionalism of the staff , the interior decor, art work on display upstairs, the offerings available at the snack bar( beer and wine available) and the theatre was a wonderful venue to see a production.

    Clue!

We love Stages St. Louis and enjoy our season tickets every year. The theater is beautifully designed and decorated. Their shows are top notch and right in a smaller but modern theater. If you love live theater you are missing out. Their latest show, Clue, is hilariously funny and the first play they have done in over 30 years. Typically they do musicals. The actors are captivating and the sound and set is exceptional for local theater. If you keep an eye out on social media, they run specials for tickets. It's one of my favorite theaters and a great location with lots of great restaurants to grab a bite before or after the show.

I loved these performers! They were great! Here is a little snippet from their website: "Stages St. Louis was honored Monday evening with 6 Kevin Kline Awards, including receiving the highest honor in the category of "Outstanding Production of a Musical" - twice! Their productions of The Drowsy Chaperone and Guys and Dolls tied for this award." Stages is going to be getting a new theater in the next year or so. Meanwhile the seating is up close and personable. Every seat is a good seat! At intermission the catering is done by With Love.. Catering and Confections. http://www.withlovecatering.com (I took a card. hehe) Their confection presentation was lovely! It looked so yummy! I was full but it made me wish I wasn't. From website: "All items are made from scratch daily. Be sure to take advantage of the intermission pre-order so that your snack and cup of steaming coffee can be waiting for you as you exit the theatre for intermission. Can't finish it off in time for the second act? Don't worry, to-go boxes are available." Great experience! :) The address in Goggle maps is incorrect. The Google maps address is an old address of their old box office. Email yourself the correct address so you aren't late to the play!

I loved this billboard of the actors. While you waited in line you could get a close of view of their names etc

Theater is beautiful but there is not enough lot parking and absolutely not enough disabled parking.

The League has not only helped me find volunteer opportunities in St. Louis and helped me learn more about my new city, but it's allowed me to meet so many multi-faceted, accomplished, and inspiring women from all walks of life. I have made my best friends here through the League. There are lots of service opportunities but also great social opportunities as well--monthly Dinner Club, Book Club, and Bunco nights being my favorites! Everyone has always been incredibly welcoming, warm and inclusive. If you're not interested in joining, you can still support the mission of the Junior League of St. Louis by shopping at its downtown Kirkwood gift boutique, most typically open on Saturdays when it's operated by League member volunteers. The boutique has a selection of gifts, including many items from St. Louis vendors and women- or minority-owned small businesses. You can also stop in to buy their famous cinnamon rolls, sold frozen by the dozen or half-dozen. The Junior League trains volunteers to help support St. Louis-area nonprofits and causes, in particular those that help advance childhood education. The proceeds from the boutique help fund that mission.

I transferred here from one the best and biggest leagues in the South and it was so disorganized from the start. The women who are left there are mainly sustainers and sadly very catty, non-inclusive, mean girls disguised as grown women. Not good role models of women uplifting other women nor valuing creating a sense of community. Most of who is left is there for self-serving purposes (titles and because they know the league itself has a great reputation so they try to piggy back on that). Don't waste your money!

(Proceeds go to St. Louis's foster care coalition--their HQ is also in this same building). They have a selection of normal clothes -- women's and men's -- on the bottom floor, along with shoes and accessories (earrings and jewelry). But what really stands out is their cute formal dress section on the second level! Perfect for prom, wedding guest, bridesmaid etc. They have floor length dresses for $35 and shorter dresses for $25. They even have a few floor length wedding gowns for brides for $100!! (Plus a section for mother of the bride dresses). I've gotten 2 formal dresses here so far with lots of compliments (wore one on a beachy vacation and another as a destination wedding guest)!! I visited again this week as I thought I'd look for a wedding dress here since they have super affordable options. I didn't end up finding a dress in my size since they only have a few but it was still really impressive they had some in stock at all! And at this price point. There were some beautiful dresses in smaller sizes as well with big princess-like ballgown-style trains. They also accept donations. You can either get a tax receipt or a $5 off coupon! The staff there have also been very friendly every time I've gone!! They have the store decorated currently for their prom season--girls who are in foster care who are accepted into their program get to shop for a prom dress for free! So cool!
