However, I did the last time I had a treatment and noticed on it that I was charged a 10% Covid-19 Surcharge. I did reply to the email and asked why this charge was on there as I was completely unaware. The owner wrote me back saying they would gladly refund the charge to my account (they did) and explained that the fee is disclosed and they also have a sign at the front desk (I missed this!). However, when I asked where it was disclosed, I found out it is buried in their FAQ section under Pricing: Due to increasing supply costs, a 10% surcharge of up to a maximum of $25 is added to all services. Had this surcharge been more transparent and included in the actual listing of their services along with pricing, I certainly wouldn't have booked an appointment knowing how much that would add to the service.

"The Glacial" winter glow revival facial included an herbal steam, double cleanse, facial massage, dermaplane and snow algae face mask. It all added up to one of the most wonderful self-care experiences I have had, and the way my skin glowed afterward -- and has continued glowing and looking improved overall in the days since -- far exceeded my expectations. Beyond the results, though, I have to talk about how wonderful the experience is from the moment you walk in. Dana opens the waiting room 10 minutes before your appointment time so you can fill out basic paperwork regarding your medical history and skin goals. Then you talk to make sure you're on the same page. The session itself starts and ends with a short deep breathing exercise, helping you center yourself and focus. Everything felt so blissful and relaxing that I drifted off several times, and kept having to bring myself back from the mini dreams I was slipping into as I didn't want to miss the experience! The facial massage especially was wonderful, and a helpful starting point toward my skin goals. I think what I most appreciated is that when we discussed my typical skin care routine, which is incredibly low maintenance and a bit directionless right now, Dana could not have been kinder or more judgment free. She didn't push any products and gave me a sample to start out with, which I'm applying morning and night alongside one other product I'm using. Her other advice was to wake up and hydrate my skin in the morning with a splash of cold water. Seriously, free cold water. What a refreshing change from many estheticians; you genuinely get the feeling she cares. This is a gem of a small business, and I will absolutely be back to continue working with her.

Since I missed this appointment because of the confusion she created, they charged me a cancellation fee of $75.00. This is not the first time I have paid for mistakes like this and poor calls on the part of the owner. What's worse is I never confirmed the appointment that they are charging me for now. Don't go here unless you plan on paying high cancellation fees for their mistakes.
