I've had many facials done in my life, I used to go monthly for part of a self care routine. I've never been as satisfied with the process and results as I was when I visited Kate yesterday. The space: Sola salons is a great space because it has free parking which isn't super common. Kate's space in the salon is a quiet room with beautiful heavy curtains which allow a soft glow from the lights outside. The space is small but perfect for her purposes. The bed was comfortable and I wasn't too warm which is a plus as a 'new' mom where my hormones have a tendency to make me run hot. The facial: I got the luxury facial because an hour and a half of not having to deal with the outside world or someone needing something from me literally sounded like heaven. It started with getting paraffin was dipped hands and little gloves. Then Kate helped me get into the bed, where she started the facial. I couldn't tell you all of the things she put on my face but it has never felt so clean, hydrated, and somehow she reduced my cysts and redness by over 50% in an hour and a half. Not even sensationalizing. I was shocked. The massage portion felt amazing and pretty much made muscles relax that I didn't even know were tight and tired. She mixed up custom masks and gave me a collagen lip/eye treatment that felt cooling and weird but also made my lips and eyes soft. Products: I left with new products to add to my routine. I don't usually purchase suggestions but I was impressed with the way they made my skin feel. I purchased both Mad Hippie and Erin's Faces. The Erin's Faces is probably my favorite thing I purchased. I'm fair skinned and can burn easily even with sunscreen so the aloe I bought is a must. It doesn't feel sticky at all. The other thing I love is that Kate didn't push these onto me. She told me what she was using but didn't make me feel like I needed to buy it. The products spoke for themselves. Eyebrow tint: I also had my brows tinted. As a strawberry blonde people tend to dye my brows incredibly too dark or too warm toned. Kate matched my hair color perfectly. I've never been happier. I'll absolutely be going back and have even purchased my good friend a luxury facial as a gift because I was so impressed. read more
