I've been going here for years and have had numerous facials and also massages with J when they offered massages. It is a clean, beautiful salon and I've never had any bad experiences, apart from a barking dog during a facial. However, I won't be returning. I normally don't request an invoice be emailed to me. However, I did the last time I had a treatment and noticed on it that I was charged a 10% Covid-19 Surcharge. I did reply to the email and asked why this charge was on there as I was completely unaware. The owner wrote me back saying they would gladly refund the charge to my account (they did) and explained that the fee is disclosed and they also have a sign at the front desk (I missed this!). However, when I asked where it was disclosed, I found out it is buried in their FAQ section under Pricing: Due to increasing supply costs, a 10% surcharge of up to a maximum of $25 is added to all services. Had this surcharge been more transparent and included in the actual listing of their services along with pricing, I certainly wouldn't have booked an appointment knowing how much that would add to the service. read more

Beware!!! BURNS and BLISTERS after IPL. If you are considering IPL seek someone competent! I had my IPL done on my chest, shoulders and arms. Chest is ok, but my shoulders and arms are messed up now because of incompetent people who performed this treatment on me. My arm was so badly burned and blistered that it took few days for pain to go away,  I couldn't  sleep for few nights. I contacted Carrie and send some pictures, she wasn't concerned and said its all ok and not gonna scar. Let me tell you, she was wrong,  I have unnecessary scar  on my elbow. The rest of my skin on my arms and shoulders is in white patches where it was burned. IPL supposed to bring your dark spots (only) to the surface, but in my case it removed my pigment completely and now I have white patches on my skin. In addition, you should know that this place will try to rip you off! If you decide to go to this place make sure you check prices on their website before. In the beginning I only purchased 3 sesions for  chest and they told me its $825 for 3, but when I checked their website its $200 for 1 session for chest (do the math.) When I brought it up, they add on shoulders  next time to compensate. When I did arms only, its $150 on their website for 1 sesion, but they wanted to charge me $350 at the register. I have been to many spas over the years but Swoon is by far the best. I found Carrie a few years ago when I was looking for electrolysis and now will not let anyone else touch my skin! Not only is the spa beautiful and relaxing with a boutique-like vibe, but all of the people there are amazingly talented. Swoon truly is my happy place. They offer a wide range of services including Botox and filler which is a wonderful compliment to their anti-aging treatments. (These are my absolute favorites.). I have had such good experiences at Swoon, that I have even brought in my kids (acne) and my husband. The best part of all of it is that my skin has never looked better! Highly recommend! read more

Carrie is amazing! You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, helping people look and feel their best. I got a facial with microdermabrasion a little over a week ago. I had just moved from across the country. The stress, new humidity and general lack of attention to my skin had made it rough, dull and break out. Carrie spent way longer than my allotted appointment time to do really thorough extractions, peels etc. She explained the entire process to me, told me what products would be the most helpful for my type of skin without being pushy. Since my facial, and using the products she recommended, my skin has dramatically improved. It is smooth, bright and much clearer than previous. I look forward to coming back! Considering I walked out 20 minutes into my facial, I would consider this a 0 Star experience. This was my first time at this place. I've been getting facials regularly for 10 years mainly at Kate Somerville in LA and hotel spas when traveling for work. I decided to try a place close by and have pretty low expectations- I really just want extractions since I already buy high end skin products and take good care of my own skin. I was told to arrive 15 mins early for a skin consultation since it was my first time. When I arrived I was barely greeted, someone came out from a room that looked like an episode hoarders and gave me a new client form to fill out. I'm fairly certain she was one of the owners and didn't even introduce herself or care that she had a customer. I could hear her and my aesthetician (Hillary) complaining that I was there early. Hillary calls me back and this room is small with shit everywhere- tons of products stacked up in this tiny room with the windows to the hallway of the building barely covered by curtains. I really could not relax. Anyways, she just starts rubbing stuff on my skin with even introducing herself or asking how my day was, when I had my last facial, skin issues etc. she's barely touching my skin with the cleanser and I had to tell her I had eye makeup on. She barely removed it bc when I got in my car it was underneath my eyes. She couldn't get the steamer to work. I asked who she was and if they just opened. She then put something on my skin that caused it to tingle and burn a little. When I told her, she had no idea what to do and I told her I had sensitive skin and if she engaged with me at all she would know that. She offered to use another product but there was no way I was letting her do extractions on my face. I still offered to pay for her time, but luckily she wouldn't let me. She should have got her sister who was still sitting in the other room to help rectify the situation. I could have just told her face to face about the issues. When I told Hillary that I've never had a Beauty appointment where someone didn't ask basic questions, she said she was busy with another client when I arrived. Hillary really didn't seem to understand the basics of human interaction, customer service and the beauty industry. I would not recommend this place. Horrible service, not even sure of good products and the treatment rooms are a fire hazard. read more

Since she has started doing my eyebrow waxing I have never looked better. Every time I see her I am amazed at the quality of her work filling in my brows and waxing them. I am writing this review due to my experience yesterday. I have been to Swoon in the past and always saw the same esthecian who no longer is employed here. I always loved their products and services as well the overall atmosphere. So I figured I would try another esthecian there being that she is the owner of the spa and also had rave reviews. I DM'd the spa on Instagram to get an appt for a peel with Carrie. She then replied a day and time and I said " perfect. The day of my appt I attempted to DM the spa again to confirm since I didn't get a text or email. I attempted to call the spa but didn't get an answer, I figured they were busy with clients. I drive 40mins to get to Wexford and was told I wasn't on the schedule. I then show the conversation to the esthecian who greeted me who stated " she must of forgot, I'm sorry she's with a client". Of course I was already extremely aggravated because the spa is not down the street from where I reside, and just overall the lack of professionalism. I left my name and number, was told the owner would contact me. Prior to her outreach I sent her a DM in regards to my dissatisfaction of the situation being that I've been a loyal client in the past, I was disheartened my the ordeal. I NEVER received that call, and she also saw my message on Instagram ( tells you when messages are seen" ) and she never replied. Consistency is key for me, and being respectful and courteous of orher's time. I won't be back. read more

I was so blessed and honored for My sweet daughter in law Lauryn to take me to The Swoon Spa that she has been PRAISING and talking about. It was Just PERFECT and they did not let me down. I have been getting Brazilian waxes for about 3-4 years. I have had every type of wax and technician / experience you can imagine -- Bee's, Strip, Warm Sugaring, Cold Sugaring you name it from Pittsburgh to Syracuse to DC. Today I can honestly say, was THE BEST Brazilian Wax I have EVER had. Bergan's swift, light -- applying all the right pressure in all the right areas technique coupled with the silk, soft top of the line wax used left me not feeling 1 wince of pain and leave my skin soft, smooth and without the usual redness and swelling I have gotten from even great waxes. Even the center and other typically tender areas -- I didn't even notice when she was waxing them. Hands down --- if you need a Brazilian, you NEED Bergan in your life. Bergan is beautiful inside and out, her love for skin care radiates through her warm smile -- she is beyond knowledgeable about all of the products and recommended a PCA serum that I can't wait to use.
