Experience was good but not satisfactory. I've noticed that she did not take time in scrubbing my foot while my co-workers are getting their foot scrubbed and callus removed. You noticed that there was not even any flakes on the cloth she used for me because she did scrub them for a minute or less. I was observing how the other ladies are doing my friends' and they were all taking the time to scrub. I haven't had spa for years so there's no way that there's nothing to remove. I did not want to ask or complain as I did not want her to feel humiliated as everyone would hear for sure. It couldn't be possible that she forgot as she should be trained on how to do it and should take time to give an excellent spa experience. The place is very clean, modern, and comfortable except for the manicure section which is isolated and so tiny, it does not feel comfortable.

My old skin care routine is no longer effective so I sought out professional help and booked a skin consult here. Well they cancelled on me twice, then finally when I had my initial consultation the esthetician didn't ask me anything about my skin or my skin care routine or the products I was using, nothing. I explained to her what I had just been through and how it affected my skin and asked how I should care for my skin. Her response was: "if you are on cancer medication you can't have laser". "But overall, just looking at you, your skin is saggy and you looked tired". "My professional opinion is you should get filler". No Joke, that was her response. Really? Omg, I just had half a breast removed and went through radiation therapy, of course I'm tired! I felt like crying and stormed out. Who treats someone like that? I went in trying to feel better not worse and I left feeling just awful about myself. How unprofessional, tactless, cold, insensitive, inconsiderate, unfeeling, thoughtless, uncaring, callous and cold-hearted. I understand that part of an estheticians job is to upsell the client but really, have a little common sense and use some discretion. Just because you have a job to do should not mean that the client is unworthy of consideration or respect.

Nicole told me she would look into my file and would call me back the next day. She mentioned that due to the change she does not usually honor packages previously purchased since she has to incur the expense that a previous owner received revenues for. Her reasoning made no logical sense She did not call in the time frame indicated above so I tried to follow up multiple times. I had to call at least 15 times as she proceeded to ignore and avoid my calls for weeks.  Nicole was unethical and unprofessional. She has no appreciation for customer loyalty, takes no accountability and handled this matter poorly.  Skin and body has changed their management a few times and I can see this trend continuing in the future with this type of ownership.  To anyone reading this, please be cautious before prepaying for any services with this company. Chances are your money will not be recouped if management changes once again.

One came back only because she had to move and this place was where her old clients were. She is now getting mental health from there. I personally am getting mental health help from the trauma I had received from working there. If you had an issue that you would talk to the owner about, they threw it over their shoulder and do nothing about the many of the issues happening throughout my experience working there. I didn't make an appointment but they were able to get me in quickly which i thought was great. The haircut started awesome and i didn't ask for anything fancy just needed to tame my hair a bit. Where things took a turn; was while the stylist was cutting my hair she cut part of my ear off. I kept calm and asked for an emergency kit. They didn't have that but did bring out a dry wash cloth some random gauze they had. The wound wasn't stopping bleeding and i asked if someone could drive me to the hospital or get me a taxi voucher to go over there. I ended up spending nine hours in the emergency room waiting to see a doctor. I followed up and asked the management team to contact me. I messaged the number that was given to me by their "concerned" district manager. Only to find out that it wasn't even his number that he gave me. I waited 4 days to hopefully hear from someone. Nothing. I'm not looking for compensation or anything of the sort. I simply wanted some level of follow up to know that they actually did care about their client that was injured as a result of negligence. I worked in hospitality for 12 years and i know that a little bit of care can go a long way. Hope this helps in your decision making to go here or not.
