Would give this experience a zero if I could. I paid a lot of money for the worst possible mani/pedi I have ever gotten - in my entire life. This salon used to be good, but it has gone downhill over time and my last 2 visits have been a waste of time and money. In general, the salon no longer provides high quality services and is filthy (if you go in the late afternoon, don't look down. The floor is disgustingly unclean). In specific, yesterday, my mani/pedi took almost 4 hours (The technician and I left around 9:45 pm- well after the salon had closed). Why? The technician had no idea what she was doing, and she kept leaving to go to the back room for who knows what. What's worse, she did a terrible job on both the mani and the pedi. Example: The air bubble mechanism in the water basin didn't work at Station 3 and instead of moving me to a different station or telling me they just didn't have the space to do a quality service as it was busy, she and the other workers- including the manager who knew the basin wasn't working - ignored the malfunction and I sat in cold, stagnant water for an hour. It was so gross. And, speaking of water, she grandly handed me the menu of drinks, and I chose a bottled water. She came back with a styrofoam cup of tap water. Um. No thanks. If they were out of bottled water, she could have just told me so I could have chosen something else. Then, after the hour of soaking my feet in the cold, stagnant water, she "forgot" to slough my heels, and when asked to do it, she gave a few perfunctory, half hearted scrapes on the bottom of my heels: sigh. My heels / feet are still cracked in several places and most definitely not sandal ready. (This is the second pedi I have had in the past month here and both were poorly done, so I suspect they have lost sight that a good pedi should remove rough /cracked patches in feet. Instead they just want to push through as many customers as they can so they substitute moisturizing the legs, which could be done at home, for taking the time to slough the feet). She then told me to walk to the nail station, but she failed to dry my feet. I slipped on the wet floor with my wet feet. When I told her I needed my feet to be dried, she said that is what the little thongs are for. I had to remind her she never gave me a pair: lol. She is lucky I didn't hurt myself, but I do wonder if she actually works there or they pulled her in because they were short on workers. She truly had no idea what she was doing from how to operate the water basin, allowing me to sit in cold, stagnant water for an hour, not sloughing my feet properly or without a reminder, and not knowing she needed to dry my feet and give me the thongs to wear- etc). The mani didn't go much better, but you get the idea. (When I asked if she could remove some hangnails, she said she would moisturize my hands at the end: ha. At another point, I filed my own nails to show her what I meant by rounded nails: truth). Please think twice before going here because the quality of the services has gone way down over time. read more

Never come here. I asked for a deep burgundy cat eye nail set. This is a sparkly pink/red. They did end up discounting my price but never come here. Booking appointments here is a waste of time. I waited for over 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time and then left. The reason we were given was that a lot of techs had called off, and we were told that we would have had better luck booking with a specific tech rather than booking a generic appointment. I just don't believe that they didn't know how many appointments were booked the day before and couldn't have alerted the techs calling off. Or, they could have told me right when I arrived about the delay so that I didn't wait around. read more

She is always able to get me in at short notice, she has done nail art, pedicures, as well as traditional dip for me over the last year. I have been going to Larry for 5 months now and he has done an amazing job. Recently I went and got my nails done and got gel and put matt polish on top. The next day I took a shower after getting them done and they started to bubble up, with water inside. Took my 11 year old daughter and her friend to get their nails done for the first time. They loved the experience and were so excited to finally be getting tips and dip. My daughters friends tech charged for every single step. Nail filing, nail polish, etc. While the girls were getting their nails done, I decided to treat myself to a gel pedicure, something I never do. By the end of the day, two of toenail nail polishes peeled completely off. Not even within 24 hours of getting the pedicure. Within 5 days, 2 of my daughters nails peeled/fell completely off. Do not waste your time or money here. The receptionist is an incompetent liar who when confronted said, "I don't care." There was confusion about my appointment. The person booked did not want to take the appointment, which was fine; however, the receptionist made up a story about with whom the appointment was booked. When I checked with my spouse who made the appointment it was clear that the receptionist was lying. Had she told be the truth up front, I would have accepted another tech but I will not reward deceptive conduct nor a business that clearly, to quote the receptionist, "don't care." Today I had the best pedicure I've ever had...and didn't even spring for the top of the line. Ask for Kevin...he is wonderful with the massage. I have my nails dipped, and they take their time and do it right. My nails are healthier than they've even been...today I had them cut 50 percent off the length. Wow. And the icing on the cake? I was visiting for California and sine our nail salon had been shut down, I was long over due. The girl at the front desk was soooo personable. I really appreciated her professionalism. I called and made an appointment and was finally seated about 20 minutes after my appointment time. The lady came and asked me what kind of polish I on, I told her it was gel. She grinded some off, told me to place my hands in the water and she walked away. (No greeting or further instructions). So I am sitting there for awhile with my hands turning this weird white lol... only for the front desk girl to ask me had the polish been removed? Well I had no clue I was responsible for using the cloths in the bowl to remove my polish. I shared with her in California this was done for us as.part of the service...and, if thatwere the case, I was not given instructions by the woman who told me to place.my hands in the bowl. The delightful front desk girl assured.me the polish would be removed by the technician. My technician was Jason and he was a pleasure. He didn't talk much but thst was actually perfect for me, as I prefer to immerse myself in the pampering experience. I had a gel manicure and regular pedicure (no gel). I his work was perfect!!! I would say that it went well I had Anna and she was very through with her processes went back when she made mistakes and was very professional the entire time. I got a full set from her just a single color and they came out amazing. But, the reason I did not give five stars is because the front desk area seems a bit unorganized running around asking the nail techs questions and whatnot while they are focused working, Having minor work arguments over disorganization. I had a nail appointment made at 4:15 on Monday Feb 13th for 5:45 for a dip mani with designs and a gel pedicure. I couldn't remember the name of my nail tech but I asked for someone that is confident in designs. The really sweet lady on the phone put me down and told me who I was with (but forgot by the time I arrived I was just getting off work and had to run some errands before my appointment). When I arrived the women working the front desk was extremely rude and told me I didn't have an appointment nor was I scheduled with anyone. She literally looked at me and was basically called me a liar. When I showed her when I called and the duration of the call to show her I did in fact have an appointment. she said she can get me in even tho I didn't have an appointment which I did. Since I forgot who I was with i said maybe it was ****** (I don't want to out names) because that sounded familiar but asked to double check because I didn't know. Fast forward to getting my nails done, the tech I was supposed to be scheduled with (not who actually was doing my nails) came up and told my nail tech I was supposed to be with her. Which made me slightly uncomfortable because I didn't want anyone to think my tech stole anyone's business but also made me nervous since I was told over the phone that they put me with a person who was good/confident with design. So I was worried they wouldn't turn out well and I was upset with the lady at the front for not putting me with who I was supposed to be with and not even double checking since clearly this tech was waiting for me. I tried to have good faith and not let it ruin my experience. When my nails were done they were okay- I'd give them like a 7/10 on my right hand and a 3/10 on the left hand. My one nail started to peel up in less than 24 hours, the paint is bumpy, and the design is sloppy not cohesive at all and has air bubbles in it. Which isn't exactly my nail techs fault, maybe this wasn't their expertise since you know I was put with the wrong tech. Fast forward to my pedicure, this was with a different nail tech not the one who did my nails. Her and I talked, I really liked her and had a good experience. I just wanted a basic pedi with gel. Well now it comes time to check out. Both of my techs seemed to be running a bit behind so someone at the front rang in my services. I told her what I had done and she kept asking me questions like I was trying to skip out on certain charges? Which was frustrating, I had dip without tips (I have long nails naturally), designs on 4/10 nails, and a pedicure with gel. I reiterated that to her but she kept asking me about shaping, removal of old gel, and questioned my nail length without adding tips. At this point I had enough. I felt like I was thrown around, not taken care of appropriately, and this is a "luxury service" as nails are not a necessity even if I do get them done on a monthly basis. When she handed me my receipt which was close to $150 (which is higher than what I normally pay but whatever) which would have been worth it if I was treated with basic human decency. But the nail on the coffin for me was when the lady that checked me out asked me if my pedi nail tech was trying to get me to see her at the other salon she apparently worked at. I didn't even know that she worked at another salon and even if she did ask me take that up with the nail tech not the client. My pedicure tech and I literally talked about houses and inspectors the majority of the time. Moral of the story, I've sat on this for a few days trying to decide if this was even worth writing up to post or just to cut my losses and move on. Looking back I was treated extremely unprofessionally, did not receive a quality service, and my time of relaxation that a nail service is supposed to provide was stripped away. Honestly after all this I might just start doing my nails myself. I've had a cosmetology license for 9 years and never have I ever felt so uneasy or disappointed at a salon in my life nor have I seen anyone be treated the way I was. read more

This was my first time going to Luminous and I was happy with the job Julie did on my acrylics! I showed her a picture and she made them look exactly how I wanted them. DO NOT GO HERE! I had an appointment on Thursday at 12:30 for a mani pedi. I had a pedi first followed by a mani. I wore flip flops so they would have plenty of time to dry. My nails were completely uneven and looked leathery. I looked up what could have caused it and it appears it's from not enough time to dry between coats. At 3:30 I put shoes on to go to work and by mig toe completely peeled back. I called the store to say how upset I was and wanted to come back Friday to get it fixed. They said the redo would be free which I appreciate as everyone's time is valuable. I arrived Friday at 1pm and asked if I could pay the difference to upgrade to gel for both as I had less time to wait then I had the previous day. So I paid an additional $30 for the upgrade. The tech doing my nails, files them with a course file after they were done and chipped one. I showed it to the tech and asked them to fix it and they proceeded to file the mail down shorter. (Which upset me because now they are all different lengths) I left the salon and went to work by 3pm my nail was already coming off. I called the salon and the receptionist was shocked and asked me to text a photo to the owner Julie. I text a picture to Julie and she said she would refund me, and blamed it on the lights not being fully charged. She offered to fix them but I was leaving for vacation and already had been to the salon 2 times in 2 days. I leather received a call from the receptionist asking for my credit card to issue a refund. I gave and she informed me I was only receiving a refund of $15 for the manicure.. So I paid $94 for a mani-pedi and tipped 30% and your only giving me $15!! I also had to come to your salon 2 times in 2 days! The staff were all polite and nice but the customer service and quality of the service is my reason for the awful review. DONT GO HERE!! read more

This place gives a good pedicure, it is better if you call ahead for an appointment versus being a walk-in I have had to wait for 30 to 45 minutes if your walk in. Salon stays very busy. They do a pretty good jon on nails too. Loads of colors to choose from. read more

This was the WORST nail experience of my life. I have been getting my nails done for over 10 years, and this was hands down the worst time yet. The nail tech was rude, kept yelling at me to relax my hand after I told him repeatedly I have an injury and that it's hard for me, and to top it all off they look SO uneven and like Sh!t. At the end of the appointment when I was checking out, there was red all over my nails, yet I got them in a pink color. When I asked him to fix it, he was annoyed and fixed it after many sighs. He claimed it was the products fault, but he had red nail polish all over his nails from a previous client I suppose. VERY unprofessional and just a horrible experience overall. My first visit was fine. I went back a second time and I got my nails done on Tuesday and the very next day i had a nail break. I work full time and couldn't get in til Sunday. They told me i had to wait for over an hour to fix one nail...one nail. The lady that i spoke to was VERY rude about it and was not willing to help at all since Lynn wasn't there to fix it.
