    Cartilage piercing by Noel

My daughter wanted her cartilage pierced in her ear, she wanted to know more about the process, everyone in the shop was informative, kind and helpful! Noel did her piercing and walked her through the whole thing. She was very happy with her new piercing!

Came in on a whim to get my nostril pierced. Called on before I came, they are taking in walk-ins however I recommend you schedule an appointment for tattoos. Everyone is stopped at the door, temp scanned, hands sanitized. Selection of body jewelry in place, see attached photos. Crystal was working today, I had a 20 minute wait. She was quick to sanitize her station and set up for my nostril piercing. This is my second visit with her and both times she has been personable and professional. The process was painless, she explained aftercare and gave me details about jewelry size and when it can be replaced. Would highly recommend her and this place. ***they do NOT honor the 10% off Yelp check-in discount. Yelp moderators have been notified.

Definitely would not recommend coming here to get nose pierced or piercing changed. The receptionist told me that it would be 30 mins and there are 2 people in front of me. I sat for over 1 hour, went back to receptionist and asked her how long it would be and she told me about 30 more minutes and I have several people in front of me. I asked if they take appointments and was told "no". They have people coming in and out from piercer and I was definitely sitting here patiently before all of these folks. Customer service and time management sucks. I guess if you are cool with the people that work here and not melanated you're good. Update: Finally got my nose pierced over 2 hours later. Receptionist were still rude, however, piercer was extremely professional and apologetic. She's still guilty by association.

Rating: -100/10 I'm not usually one to leave bad reviews, in fact this is my very first, but this time it's necessary. I recently came here to get a tattoo as a walk in appointment. Let me preface by saying I totally understand that this was a walk in appointment, however there is a certain unsaid rule about what you expect in terms of quality when you go to get a tattoo, appointment or not. When my friend and I walked in, I had a very clear idea of what I wanted done (image below). Upon talking to the artist, Paulie, I made sure to let him know that I was getting this tattoo to cover up scars, so it was very meaningful to me. We agreed that he would draw up a sketch so as to not copy the original artist's work. He took some time to draw up a new stencil (image below) and I really liked the way the drawing looked, so I agreed to continue on with the tattoo. Once the stencil was placed, I still really enjoyed the way it looked so we agreed to get started. However, before we started, I made it very clear that I wanted the lines more on the dainty side, as seen in the original inspo picture, and I also wanted very minimal shading, if any at all. He started doing the line work and it was off to a great start. The first leaf he did looked great! The lines were thin and the line thickness was consistent. As he gets further into the tattoo, it starts getting painful, which causes me to not pay as much attention to how he is tattooing (I don't believe I should have to double check the quality of the work as it's being done, but). Eventually the line work was completed and initially, it looked fine to me (I was also trying not to pass out so my full attention was not on the consistency of the tattoo at the time). He then says he's going to start shading and once again I mention that I'd like it to be minimal. Once he gets about halfway through the shading, I take a look and it is way darker and taking up more of the tattoo than I had expected from what we discussed. his response was something along the lines of "don't worry, it'll lighten up once it's healed". I took his word for it (which I realize is partially my fault) and let him continue. Again, the pain gets bad enough that I'm really not paying attention for a while. As he's finishing up, I take another peek and see this smokey shading in the background of my tattoo that was never once discussed. We had only discussed minimal shading in the leaves and branches, nothing in the background. I told him I absolutely did not like it and again, he just said something along the lines of "when it heals it'll be a lot lighter". My (and multiple other tattoo artist's opinions from different shops) suspicion as to why he did this background smoke shading without my permission, was to try to cover the blown out lines that he had previously tattooed. When the tattoo was completed (image below), I said I didn't like it, and again he dismissed me. For the next 48 hours I was having a panic attack because of how poorly it was done and how incredibly different it was from what I asked for (which I understand is a bit dramatic). I went to another shop two days later to get their opinion and make sure I wasn't being overdramatic, and they told me it was, in fact, a horrible tattoo with blown out, inconsistent lines, inconsistent shading, and was completely different than my reference and even the stencil. Because I'm so unhappy with the tattoo, they recommend that i have it lasered since it is too dark to try to cover. Now I have a consult in a couple weeks to when I can have it removed, because an artist at the Blue Horseshoe in Hampton cannot produce quality work. I will update as I have more laser appointments. Update: I called the shop and asked to speak to the manager about coming to some sort of resolution. When I asked, he laughed in my face (well, phone I guess) and said it wasn't his problem anymore because the artist had already been paid. It was extremely rude and disrespectful.

double nostril w/ titanium discs and upper lobe titanium spike, all anodized to bronze

Great establishment with outstanding service and phenomenal staff. Cleanliness and friendliness were top tier, per usual, just with extra precautions of mandatory masks, social distancing, plus more sanitizer. I was a walk-in for second lobe piercings and a double nostril. Justin, the shop owner (!!), pierced me which was incredibly cool and he was really patient as he answered all my questions and waited for me to pick out jewelry. I found some more understated titanium pieces sans stones that suit me and had them all anodized. The whole time I was talking due to nervousness but the procedure was pretty quick once the placements were set. Justin kindly humoured me with excellent conversation throughout, which was educational, entertaining, and ultimately calming. His professional and amiable demeanor really lent to the entire experience being exceptional. As for pain and price, it was more akin to mild discomfort than pain and the price was on par for the jewelry but doesn't touch the quality of service. This was my second visit to this parlour for multiple piercings in one go, both times Justin was my fantastic piercer, and I ABSOLUTELY recommend this location and him!

I did a walk-in for a septum and nostril piercing. Was pierced after MAYBE 20 minutes and the guy that did it was super friendly and they look so good. I love that he didn't use clamps and it was so fast and barely hurt. Definitely going to go back

Got my first tattoo here, some roman numerals about 5 inches long and an inch wide on my forearm. Everyone was real professional, got to the point, and the only real downside was having to pay cash only. But overall great staff and tattoo.

My daughter and I walked in for some piercings. Jessica got us in and out in under an hour. The shop is super clean and sanitized. You watch as she opens and sets everything up right in front of you. The staff is amazing and helpful. Answered any and all questions we had. Even made an appointment for a tattoo.

    Botched Tongue piercing
    Caitlin F.

Do not recommendI was so excited to get my tongue pierced here however, I felt the woman who pierced my tongue was a little bit snippy and kind of rushed threw everything. She took a lot of the fun out of the experience and made me feel overlooked like she just wanted to get it done. After I got home I noticed my piercing looked really high up and it kept rubbing really badly against my webbing underneath. I assumed it was because of swelling but after four day it still looked wrong. I went to the body bar In Patrick Henry mall to have it checked. they said it was absolutely pierced incorrectly, not only was it pierced too far back but also at an angle causing a lot of discomfort. They removed the jewelry for me, told me to come back in 3 weeks and they would re-pierce it correctly. So I don't not recommend blue horseshoe, but do recommend the body bar! They were so kind and patient, listened to my story and corrected the problem quickly!

My daughter, a minor, was getting her first lobe piercings, and the staff made us both feel incredibly comfortable. They gave us all the info we needed on what earrings to get, cleaning instructions, etc. I appreciated the thoroughness of the paperwork and the requirement for both her government-issued ID and my driver's license. Clinton, our piercing specialist, was exceptional. He took the time to ask my daughter if she had any questions and answered them with confidence and clarity, immediately putting her at ease. His professionalism and gentle approach were exactly what we needed. He carefully marked her ears and proceeded with the needling. My daughter felt a little lightheaded afterward, and Clinton was incredibly patient and supportive in helping her manage that. Beyond the excellent service, the studio's cleanliness and attention to sterilization were truly impressive. It's clear they take hygiene very seriously, which was very reassuring. I waited about 20min due to 3ppl ahead of me. The gentleman at the front desk got me situated with paperwork so that I would be ready once it was my turn. The shop was extremely clean and spacious with a comfortable waiting area. Mak the piercer, called me up and educated me on the plethora of jewelry options for nose piercings. I settled on a small stud and was ready to roll. Mak was so accommodating, welcoming, and calming to me during this process. She mentioned being an apprentice of Brandy and gave her all the accolades on her craft. Mak thoroughly explained everything I would experience during the piercing process before actually sticking me. This was unlike any other piercing experience I've ever had. Mak was quick too, but not like she was rushing me out. She ensured I was ok the entire time, and made suggestions on placement from her experience and WHY! She also suggested that I close my eyes. This was extremely helpful as well as properly breathing through the process. After I got done the quick and nearly pain free process, I had a small tear from my right eye as she stated I would.
