I've used Luna to configure a fairly large project. They were very difficult to work with, with way too much emotions from their design team, and way to focused on sending documents requiring me to sign away every stipulation of changes, that should be their responsibility. The project came together, but not with a lot of back and forth that wasn't necessary. I had to do a phase 2 effort, that I wanted to match the cabinets, but I can't even get them to respond to a design request. I don't know about their past, but 2024 through the beginning of 2025 makes them a non-viable vendor. Consider others that will be responsive and prioritize your project. read more

I first met Terence at a Home Show in Seattle. I was building a new construction home and actually had another cabinet maker. There was something about Terence when I first met him that I really liked. I kept his business card. I ended cancelling my order with my cabinet maker and set up an appointment with Terence. I really liked the style of cabinets he was offering and really connected with him. I found Terence to be very hard working and honest. He really wanted to help me achieve the modern look I was aiming for. We connected and developed a great working relationship! I had quite a job for him, a kitchen, walk in pantry and 3 bathrooms that all needed cabinets. He was attentive to details and very responsive with communications in his emails and texts. Terence has so many years of experience behind him. He is so good in trouble shooting areas that might need a little help. He is also very hands on and did some of the install himself. He inspected every single cabinet and adjusted them where it was needed. Terence has a great attitude, happy and so easy to get along with. I really enjoyed working with Terence. I trusted his insight and judgement. I even would ask him for his opinion on decorating my home and he was so helpful with his design tips. I was at first excited to work with this company because I had heard good things, but it seems like they kept trying to get rid of me which seems to be the case there if you don't have a big project/budget even though it says in their description they do small projects. No other cabinet company I met with, even the high end ones, did this to me for my small kitchen renovation. When I told Luna I would like to move forward and sign the contract, they said we'll get that to you soon and then I never heard back. Seems like they got what they wanted as I've found someone else who was happy to work with me. If you have a small or medium sized project or simply want to work with a company that is courteous and professional, I recommend looking elsewhere. read more

I don't usually write reviews on Yelp because it's hard to tell authenticity. But I do it when the work is so exceptional that I can't keep silent. The owner of Luna Kitchen and Bath is Terence Tung. I've known Terence for about 19 years because about 16 years ago (when he was working as an interior designer for another company), he designed a remodel of my very same kitchen I'm writing about. [And a couple years later he did the same for my bathroom.] The results then were already spectacular, when he changed almost everything but my kitchen cabinets (which were still in decent shape at that time). He stayed close to my budget and didn't try to make unnecessary changes when items were still functional. Toward the end of 2019, my kitchen cabinets (the original ones that came with the house when I bought it in 2000) started falling apart. I called him again for help. This time not only was he the interior designer, but since he owned Luna, he was also the primary contractor who had full control of who did what. I didn't believe him when he said it would start the second week of December 2019 and finish second week in January 2020. In my mind, I gave another month for "unforseens". Not only did he finish on time, the results were simply stunning. Around the fall of 2019, he started out showing me how my kitchen would look using an app on his laptop. He suggested certain styles and colors but my partner and I agreed on some, disagreed on others. He listened, yet when the stuff we picked didn't work/match, he put his foot down and directed us toward one that we would also like, all to give the whole design coherence. When the job commenced, I noticed that the workers he chose were always on time, hardly took breaks (20 minutes for lunch, really?), and had a work ethic that I have not witnessed in any workers/contractors I had used in the past. The tile guy was a perfectionist and it showed. IMHO, no other backsplash is more beautiful than mine. The point is, Terence chose the right people. I have to point out that in 2014 when Terence wasn't the primary contractor, though his design was flawless, he was at the mercy of his employer's choices of workers (carpenters, tilers, painters, plumbers, electricians, etc). There were obvious imperfections to say the least but that wasn't Terence's fault. Fast-forward to 2020, this particular project was simply perfect. Terence was there at my house almost every single day to inspect, to direct, and to problem-solve. This was quite a feat since Luna is in Wallingford and my house is in Bellevue. So to cross the 520 bridge everyday just to check up on the work is (at least for me) a lot of work. Since Terence knew I had a busy schedule and I tend to be very hands off, he even did all the research to give me choices for my new refrigerator, my new microwave, the handles and pulls for the cabinets and drawers, and all the other accessories. Literally, all I had to do was pick. I've never felt this spoiled before. Needless to say, friends who have seen our kitchen were all blown away. My neighbor said "it's a show stopper". I don't know how to thank you, Terence. Writing this review isn't enough. read more

My husband and I faced a kitchen remodel following water damage at our home. The designer I worked with (Kristin Boston), who is now at Luna Kitchen and Bath, was phenomenal. She went far and above what her job description entailed-- including helping with the selection of granite, knobs, tile, etc. Her design work on the cabinetry was most impressive and the finished product was absolutely gorgeous-- down to every detail. She was a gem in every way and so well qualified in her design skills. Kristin not only did a fabulous job on the kitchen remodel, but she also did a total remodel of three bathrooms. Once again, she did a superb job in all of the fine details-- details as to the most compatible edge selection of the new granite countertops, paint color suggestions for the walls to enhance the color tone of the new cabinetry, etc. She wasn't interested in a hurried rush job to put in some cabinets, she was interested in the overall project, achieving harmony and balance and beauty in every room and in every project. I am one very satisfied customer with this designer and would recommend her to anyone who is considering remodeling their bathroom or kitchen. read more

We used Kristin Boston for our kitchen and bathroom remodels. We are very pleased with the results. Kristin gave us such good advice. She encouraged us to stay true to the design of of our home and yet achieve the look we wanted. There are so many design decisions to make when doing these projects. She helped us select all the cabinets, appliances, quartz for the counters, sinks, faucets, cabinet pulls, floor stain color, and lighting fixtures. She added lots of lights.
