Erik showed up on time and quickly gathered the information he needed while explaining some of the things that could go wrong, like leveling issues or finding something unexpected beneath the old carpet. He promptly provided a quote, and kept in touch via text message (a huge perk for phone call-averse people like me). When we visited the showroom to pick out the carpet and sheet vinyl pattern, it came as a relief that Erik was not interested in upselling - he'd present options, explain the pros and cons of each, and trusted us to make our own decisions. The first issue occurred on the installation day, when Erik messaged me to say the carpet had not arrived yet. He was apologetic and explained what had happened, but we would still have to wait another week for it to arrive. The second issue occurred after his team removed my old carpet: they found the tiles underneath contained asbestos and needed to be sealed, for an additional cost. This added another day to the sheet vinyl install, but this was a possibility he had mentioned early on. The team also accidentally broke my dryer vent, but Erik agreed to fix it with absolutely no fuss. Finally, there were a few little bubbles in the sheet vinyl I had to push out. But now that it's all done, I am absolutely over the moon with how great my new floor looks, and how delightfully plush the new carpet on the stairs and guest room is!
