Start with massage. EXCELLENT! I mean, excellent. Both of us thought our experience was amazing and well worth the price. Space is super cool and funky in the best of ways. (I do wish someone had warned me about the extremely narrow and steep stairs!) It's an historic building and the space breathes history in the best of ways. Rooms were nice. Bathroom - meh. Only suggestion - give the customer a wet, warm towel to clean off with. Our places in CA do that routinely and it's such a nice gesture. Julie was amazing. I asked for a Lomi Lomi and she proceeded to do the best Lomi Lomi massage I have ever had (of 40). She was very professional with draping, etc... and was elegant in her using hot towels to clean off oil, when Luna's doesn't have a shower. Best ever. read more

Luna was my Mother's Day gift and I was very impressed by my husbands find. If you are walking by you are sure to miss it. It is a single door on a busy street. I think that is part of its charm. Once there you have to climb stairs to actually get to the establishment on the second floor. I enjoyed a 60 min massage and it was one of the best ones I have had (top 3). The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed the older structure of the building (part of the charm) but I didnt love all the noises that could be heard from being on a busy street. You can hear when someone is walking down the hall and the traffic noise. Despite the noise, I would consider going back. read more

I got a 75 min massage from Nick! He's thorough and uses techniques I've never felt before! I'm a massage therapist myself, and he knew ALL the spots. I don't usually love deep tissue work, but he somehow really got into my muscles without it hurting! It's a tough balance to find and he does it beautifully. It was a real treat. Side note-they do full 60 min hours! Some places give you only 50 min of hands-on and use 10 min to get clients on and off the table. But here you get your full time, every time. read more

Wow. I feel amazing. I did a full spa day here with the price being under $400 before gratuity. It is well worth the money! You won't get a hot tub and steam room and just the general not genuine feel of a spa here. Their focus is your relaxation. I slept so much haha massage was phenomenal then I got a full body steam in their tent steam (so you still get a steam!). Then I got a body salt scrub which has left me super soft. I got a facial which was gentle and very relaxing. Don't come here if you're looking for lots of extractions and abrasive products. Their products are gentle and leave you feeling relaxed and soft. Their focus is wellness. I ended with a foot facial with is basically the same thing as a regular facial but on your foot. Also their building used to be a brothel so it has some history to it! It looked that way so I asked about the history of the building and she confirmed it! My only complaint is that I didn't get a confirmation and I found out that's cause the email address was written down incorrectly. I tried calling but no one answered all morning so I just guessed! My boyfriend and I did a couple's massage -- it was delightful! Very relaxing and our massage therapists were great! Very kind and gave us the right pressure for massages. My only complaints would be that the room was very bright and you definitely were reminded you were in the city with all the fire trucks and police sirens. Luna is lovely! The location is unassuming and easy to miss in an older building (warning: there are narrow stairs), but the space is well-lit and charming. The building is a bit older, and the a/c can be strong. If you run cold, the massage table has heating pads, so be sure to request they are turned on. I had booked a massage while I was in Denver for a wedding. I managed to get myself turned around direction-wise, and I called to let to them know I would be a few minutes late. They were happy to accommodate. Cheryl, my massage therapist, was wonderful; she was kind and attentive, and I left feeling so relaxed. Five stars on Yelp says "Woohoo! As good as it gets!", and I have to say that is EXACTLY how I would describe my experience there. First, let me say that every nice thing people said on here about Gabrielle is true. She's attentive to your body's issues, gives and receives feedback very well, and provided just the right pressure based on my requests. She also has a delightful personality. It was one of the best, if not the best, massages I've ever had, and that says a lot for the first time, when she's just getting to know my preferences. I know it will get even better over time, and I will be buying a package of sessions and seeing her regularly. She has my highest recommendation. Also, note that it is a small, boutique located in the basement of a salon, so if you're looking for one of the big places with dozens of therapists and lots of shee shee amenities, this isn't it. But if you're like me, and you like the smaller boutiques, then you'll love this place. Just a quaint little space, with talented therapists. read more

Selected this place for my boyfriend's first massage. We did a couples massage with Gabrielle and Ella. He was a little unsure but Gabrielle was excited to introduce him to the world of massage. And...he loved it! It was a great experience. Ella did some cupping on me and had a very intuitive touch. My boyfriend discovered knots he didn't know he had. My boyfriend and I went in Sunday 3/24/19 for a couples massage. The studio was clean and the staff greeted us kindly. Two ladies sat with us for 10 seconds to see what areas we needed addressed. We proceeded to a room that had spa music blaring to drowned out the street and other office noises. My massage was ok she asked about the pressure and I said it was ok but needed it to be deeper and..... My boyfriend said his lady did not even ask about the pressure and in result we both left feeling like we didn't receive the massages we came in for. No pressure and we woke up today feeling like we wasted $190 dollars. He still tipped over 20% because he is a nice guy however we wont be back. We will take our chances at a different place. We tried out the couple's massage class, and I can't recommend it enough! It was fun and very educational; I really felt like we left knowing so much more! The room was comfortable and warm, the space felt really welcoming, and the instructor was very, very knowledgeable. I just don't understand why this happened. I called and the owner picked up. I told her what I was specifically after in my body work need; deep tissue work on my left Quadratus Lomborum and left Glute. I then scheduled a 75 min massage for $89 for later that day. When I arrived Gabriella the MT asked me what my needs were and I repeated slowly and clearly that I was there for targeted work on the QL and left glut and next priority would be the same in the other side. What ended up happening is she did that area at the very end of the session and actually spent less time there than frankly anywhere else! I live around the corner so I was excited to hopefully find a body worker who could do deep tissue work. Gabriela is listed on the web site as offering such. I think she does ok work though not particularly deep. Again, here's my main complaint, and I've experienced this with other MTs. What I asked for she actually did the least work on and she did that area absolutely last! I just don't get it! Why? Why not start on my requested area and go deeply into the trouble zone and then check in with me and ask if that was enough work there or if I wanted more? I told her I lived in Boulder for many years and have had plenty of bodywork. So she should have known that I knew what I wanted. She started on my neck and got some good release there honestly. But she continued for that vast majority of the session doing everywhere but where I asked. She attended to the QL and glut last! And I am 100% certain that that whole area got the least attention. Absolutely no more than 3-5 min total. It's a HUGE muscle area the QL and Glute and around the hip. There's plenty to do there. Tons actually! She claimed she worked in the area for 25 min but I was very present in the process and NO, the QL and glut got no more time than anywhere else, actually less time. She asked for one deep inhalation and exhalation and applied medium pressure to the lower left back muscle ONCE! She did a little more. She moved my legs for a couple of stretches, but worked almost none at all on my left Glute and left hip area either! Now, my policy with MTs is to tell them my needs and then trust they will fulfill my request and let them do their thing once I get in the table. The problem is she gave me a full body massage and didn't spend any substantial focused time on the very area that I states loud and clear was the very reason I was there. She did offer free cupping, a benefit they offer first time clients. This felt good. At 60 min I asked her if she has left enough time for the QL and Glute (already knowing she hadn't) and she said yes, but then didn't spend that last 15 totally focused on the task at hand. I got dressed and we discussed my precise disappointment. She definitely got defensive and could see I was upset. She offered to get me back in the table for 30 min to actually spend substantial time in my requested area, but I declined because she and I were both unsettled and I didn't feel spending more time together was in either of our interests. I paid her the $89 plus an $11 tip ( not sure why) and told her I knew she achieved no improvement on my left QL and Glute. I could tell putting in my shoes and as I sit her now immediately following the massage I got no benefit for what I asked for. Obviously, I won't be returning. Later in the evening the owner called and we spoke extensively about the experience. She was great and VERY understanding. She offered a partial refund, for which I declined because I was please she listened. Anyways, Luna is a great place to go downtown if you want to unwind, have some tension relieved and wind down. Ideal for the business executive. If you want serious heavy duty targeted therapy, probably not, at least not currently. The space is clean and charming as well. read more

Gabrielle and Janna were so wonderful. I get massages semi-regularly as a way to relax from a stressful job. This massage was so soothing and I felt like Gabrielle knew how to avoid really tender spots on my, sometimes overworked, body. I also had the feeling through the entire experience that she really cared about the way my body worked and what she was doing with it. It felt to me as though each massage is probably very unique for each person. I have had some not so great experiences with facials, especially when my skin was worse in my 20s. Janna asked lots of questions about my skin and my skin routine, but I never felt judged and the recommendations she gave came with clear reasoning and helped me to think about my skin in a different way. The facial was very relaxing and rejuvenating and my skin feels fabulous today! I will return to this little space as often as my pocketbook allows ;) read more

Wow. I am 22 years old and have received many massages and have been going to physical therapy on and off for years due to constant numbness in arm and face and headaches. I am so grateful to have found Jaired at Luna on my trip to Denver for some relief. I left the session feeling relaxed and feeling better physically than I have in a long time, better than I have ever felt after leaving a massage or physical therapy. He even gave me pointers for what I should look for in a practitioner back in New York and I am sad to only have had the opportunity to have been treated once by him. We were in from out of town and scheduled a couples massage a few weeks in advance. The location is downstairs from a salon and there didn't seem to be central a/c in Luna's little lobby. The rooms were cooled with a swamp cooler and fans. The temperature was tolerable in August but not necessarily comfortable. The massage therapists (Marianne and Savannah?) were incredibly sweet and professional. The room and linens were clean and organized. They were receptive to turning down the music. Overall, it was a little muggy in the room and the constant sound of the fans and swamp cooler was not my idea of relaxation. I wish I would have known before booking -- I felt misled by all of the 5 star yelp reviews. I certainly didn't feel like the experience was worth almost $200 without tip. The massages were just OK. Not terrible and not memorable. In the future, I would look elsewhere for a massage in Denver. Note: Parking is a challenge in this area because it's right by the ballpark and there is only street parking, but we got lucky on a Sunday. read more

She is great at what she does and is amazing at finding the tension and working it out. She found tights spots in my body I didn't even know were tight! The new location they are at is very nice and inviting. I always worry about finding easy parking in Denver, but there is parking right next to the building and it's cheap. Gabrielle was a wonderful host. My girlfriend and I took the couples massage class and Gabrielle was very welcoming and informative. She took the time to get to know each couple a little and was very active with instructions and demonstrations. There were 2 other couples with us, the ladies massaged the men first for an hour, then we swapped and the men massaged the ladies for the 2nd hour. The ladies focused on the back of the head, neck and legs while the men focused on the feet, back and shoulders. The intent is to teach your partner what you learned. Wear comfy clothes (gym shorts, yoga clothes), if you wear pants you'll be asked to take them off. Both women and men will be asked to remove their shirts and bras. We missed the BYOB memo unfortunately. So bring a bottle of wine! read more
