    Migas

Happened by Luna's while the girls were at theater rehearsal just down the road and decided to do a kind of anniversary brunch thing once we got coffee nearby and looked at the menu. As soon as I saw all the brilliant breakfast choices there was absolutely no way that I could say no. I am a chilaquiles enthusiast, but after taking some time and looking at the menu, this was surprisingly not what I actually went with! The tiny place is very cute and has a wonderful friendly vibe with some wonderful people working inside. Everyone we encountered had a wonderful attitude, and was more than open to discuss the menu, ideas for things that could be added, as well as just banter about the place, the owner, and how it had been so far. We ended up getting the carne asada fries, of which the greatness cannot be understated. These were so good that Jen could not help but to share them with me. I had ordered the migas, which is essentially a tortilla and egg scramble, close to chilaquiles, but definitely not the same, so do not be confused. I chose the migas as I had never had it, but will definitely be returning to enjoy their chilaquiles. Everything had definite authentic flavor and was cooked perfectly but I do think they have toned things down a bit in the kitchen on the spiciness side, as the heat level was far lower than I would normally expect, or enjoy. However, I asked if they possibly had some fresh Serrano, and although they only had jalapeño, the wonderful chefs grabbed a huge, fresh, juicy jalapeño and seeded, veined, and diced the whole pepper and brought it out so I could add it to my migas. Absolutely perfect and an amount of friendly care you won't necessarily get everywhere! We are frequently in Swarthmore for one reason or another and will definitely be back. I cannot wait to try the chilaquiles, as is obvious from the paragraph above, but also am really looking forward to enjoying dinner here as well. If you are a member of this close-knit community, you likely already know about this place and that it is located in the location where the wine bar used to be. But if you don't know yet, get over here asap, it's a great addition to Park Ave and feels right at home along with all the other businesses that line the cute little strip there. If you don't live in town, as I don't, take a little trip and come for lunch or dinner and enjoy your time for the farmer's market on the weekend!

We had heard so many great things about Luna's and it was even better than we could have ever imagined. The tacos dorados were amazing and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. The tinga tacos were delicious and are definitely worth reordering! The service was amazing and the owner and her son were super sweet and friendly. This and the lively restaurant created an amazing atmosphere and ambiance to the dinner. Luna's is a must try and I would definitely recommend this restaurant anytime you go out to eat!

Amazing area, Great Food, and Awesome service! The ambience is nicely put together with decor and intimate seating. I would highly recommend trying this Mexican Restaurant. If you visit ask for the "Q's Shrimp Tacos". Tell Luna "Q sent ya"

We stopped by Luna's for lunch and are thrilled to finally have an authentic Mexican restaurant nearby! We had the Tacos Dorados, Spanish rice, and beans. The tacos were packed with filling and reminded us of the food our moms make, especially the added potatoes. The rice was soft and the beans were so creamy... it felt like home! We also enjoyed the fresh tortilla chips and pico. **Update** So... we've been back a few more times and it is still great! The staff and owner are so nice, and we finally had beautiful weather, so we could sit on the patio! We've now tried their breakfast burritos, nachos (with chicken tinga), birria tacos, street tacos, Agua Frescas... all positive! We will be back again soon... looking forward to trying the Horchata and tres leches pancakes!! Cannot wait for their liquor license... hoping to see a Margarita with a Tajin rim on the menu!

Hand sanitizer at counter. Food: Really good tortas (huevos con chorizo) - This made a few meals and the chorizo was very tasty. We also had fish tacos which came with a delicious chipotle dressing. Only downside is the salsa which still tastes like jarred or canned salsa. Don't know if they have squeeze bottles of salsa roja and salsa verde but what we got was like Pace, so we had to make do at home with Tapatio and Acme Taqueria Style Salsa Roja. Service: Ordered by phone and ready in 20 minutes or so. Lots of orders waiting. Parking: Tight and watch it as you back out onto MacDade Blvd. SEPTA: 113 bus stops nearby at MacDade Blvd and Sycamore Ave. Return: Yes, and we have!

My "authentic tacos" came dressed with COOKED cilantro and onions. Greasy with zero flavor. The lettuce on the American tacos were pale, white, and limber. Looks like they dont care about ingredients. $50 later and im still hungry because even the guacamole was a single ingredient food. Zero flavor. Authentic to who exactly? Maybe for the local demographic but this place is NOT IT. Had better food from taco bell and that says a lot. If you work here and are reading this, it tastes like you guys gave up and just are doing things as inexpensive as possible for big profit. Do better please. First impressions go a long way

You can place an order at the kiosk in front or at the register. It was easier using the kiosk because you didn't have to bother the lone server for options, add-ons etc. I had a birria bowl which was HEARTY. I mean the serving was huge and I was able to eat off it for two days. I thought it would be served with the consume, but I had to pay extra for that a sour cream. We did carry out, so the four stars is for cleanliness of the restaurant, quick service and serving size. I was very shocked that it was seasonless. There was no spice. There was nothing separating each ingredient in the bowl in terms of taste. It was all just one note and the note was Nothing. The consommé was also flavorless, but it did help with the dryness of the birria. I probably wouldn't try this place again if I came back at least not the burrito bowl my homegirl both had tacos and said that they enjoyed those.

I haven't had a chiminichanga in a long time plus it came with frijolitos y arroz so I ordered the carnitas chiminichanga. The taste was there; carnitas were tasty and the queso crema stuff they put on top was on point. Their salsas were a little weak; it would be good to have some spicy tomatillo salsa with anything carnitas. The frijolitos refritos were a little disappointing. There were mashed to a good consistency; too many whole beans. At least they weren't blended in the blender how some places do it. And gracias a dios that they weren't canned beans. NO CANNED BEANS!! the arroz was good. The atmosphere needs a pick-me-up. It was mostly because of the music. One would think a Mexican restaurant would play some sort of Mexican music. This place was playing instrumental versions of '70s classics. Please play some mariachi or cumbias or something Mexicano. I'm from southern California so maybe I shouldn't expect too much about Mexican food from Philly. And yes I hate the snow. If you didn't get my reference to chiminichangas, watch Napoleon Dynamite.

However, there is nothing that sets them apart and with all the wonderful choices of Mexican options in the area as well as in the city, this would be my absolute last choice to get classic Mexican street food in the area. I decided to finally write my review after this visit, being my third time giving Yosemite a try, and I am not sure if the business has changed hands, or if there are any extenuating circumstances that have influenced the business, but this was easily my worst experience of the three. We ordered most recently as part of a community school promotion. It turned out to be a complete debacle. I tried to order multiple times through their site but the code we were told to use simply wasn't working, so we called in and were given an attitude. So I then attempted to order again online and simply placed the order without the code working properly. Apparently we were not the only people experiencing this same problem and I am hoping that the fundraiser did not suffer from the obvious issues that were occurring. When we arrived to pick up our order we were perplexed by the fact that upon walking into the restaurant, there was simply no one there. I stood around for a full six minutes asking if anyone was there and no one even answered. I did see some phones and a lovely vape charging on the prep counter, so there had to be someone working the restaurant, especially because our order was received and was supposedly prepared. After the short wait in an empty restaurant, a woman appeared and did manage to match me up with my order, which was mediocre at best. I was happy to have my food, but was weary it was not even supporting the cause I had decided to order to support. We will not be returning to Yosemite. We have given them enough chances for food that simply is found much better elsewhere. I suggest you do the same.
