I came here with a friend on a quiet Wednesday evening. There was no one to greet us when we walked in and there is a sign that says to seat yourself. I ordered a cosmo and the fish cakes with mashed potatoes. My friend ordered the Reuben sandwich, which he said was way too salty and the meat tasted funny. The fish cakes were okay, they weren't too salty and didn't have an overly fishy taste. The mashed potatoes were very dry and salty. It was difficult to eat even with the butter they gave. This is a fantastic place! We were driving through Fredricton on the way to Halifax and found it through Yelp. What a find! Friendly service by everyone there. Food was tasty and reasonably priced: blackened haddock with Caesar salad was great. My wife had the Thai stir fry. Excellent. They happily prepared it vegetarian for my wife. Sticky toffee pudding for dessert also amazing! This hidden gem is also an amazing scotch bar with one of the finest and largest collections in Canada. They even have an app! A wonderful place. The seafood at this pub was so good it was simply ILLEGAL to have salmon and haddock that tasted as amazing as this. The salmon comes out glistening with a crispy outside and a wonderfully cooked interior. Nothing beats it. Highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding as well. Fredericton pub food at a decent place. Patio was awesome on a warm evening when I dined here. I decided to go with the haddock fish tacos with a Greek salad. I know it may seem like an odd combination however it was pretty darn good. On a walk to the restroom area I had a glance over at the bar and noticed they had a pretty darn good whiskey selection. Even bourbon was more than the regular Jack Daniels (not even bourbon in my opinion). In discussion with one of the servers he had mentioned the owner was a huge whiskey fanatic and had even more bottles at home. A bar with a huge drink offering is always a great place to come. Pretty cool palce. Came here to get out of the rain and it was PACKED on a Wednesday early evening. Server was fast and efficent. Place has a lot of stuff on the walls and it seems a little dirty inside but it didnt bother me too much. The inside is not at all what you would expect when looking at it from the outside. Tonight, I had supper at the Lunar Rogue. I ordered a buttered chicken on rice with pita bread. This plate was absolutely delicious and I am definitely going again. Even more, I was waited on by a very friendly and welcoming waitress by the name of Michelle. The Lunar Rogue is so so lucky to have Michelle on their team! She makes you feel like your family and is happy to see you. What a beautiful kind hearted lady. This was our first time in Fredericton and our motel manager recommended Lunar Rouge for dinner, with its 300 types of whiskies! The place was crowded on a Wednesday night. The ambience was great. The servers were happy and cheerful - such a delight to witness. Food-wise, the ribs we had were tasty if a tad on the dry side. The fried clams were light and crispy. I came here during University for wings but never looked at the scotch. Boy, did I miss some REAL schooling. As this spot is legendary for its selection of scotch. However, on some nights, this place still is packed, but if you are traveling through, this is a good lunch or supper venue before you retire to your hotel room. A group of 4 of us went out for supper. A great environment and was greeted by Michelle our waitress. Very outgoing and funny. We ordered chicken nachos was was very tasty with beer. I ordered a cajun chicken salad with chicken tostadas. Was very tasty and was not disappointed. My wife ordered ribs and chicken wings it was alot of food and she enjoyed it. My parents had the fish and ribs and chicken. Both enjoyed. I would certainly come back here again if we are in fredricton between atomosphire, food and service it was a great experience. Visited this Pub last night my wife, son and his wife on our visit to Fredericton. The atmosphere was excellent. The waitress was fantastic with her recommendations and service. Go for the whisky, not the food. The food is anywhere from shockingly bad to average. You can expect the standard mediocre pub fare - deep fried this, overcooked that. The service is also anywhere from polite to saucy if you're a regular, which makes things a bit more fun if you like to joke around. The only thing that makes this place stand out is the outstanding whisky menu, as others have pointed out. So, one star for the food and five stars for the whisky averages out to a solid three stars for me. read more

We were at a table with 8 people, so we had a broad sampling of the menu and everyone's conclusion was that it was bad. The fish and chips were notable for being inedible. In my opinion has one of the better patio enviroments. Servers are friendly and attentive.

I've been once so far and I loved it. It was in the middle of the Harvest Blues and Jazz festival so the place was packed. Still our orders were all delicious and came out as soon as they were ready. The staff was kind and made us feel comfortable. The only draw back was they over cooked my guest's burger (but he didn't say anything till we left) and they don't have free refills on soda. Since I was the designated driver and my other guests dropped a lot on drinks it bothered me to pay for each soda, and to not be told about the policy till after I had three sodas. Been many times since, the food is good, but the drinks are why you go to the Rogue, they have the best walls of scotches in the area. read more

Food here is excellent! Pub fare done right! Service is normally fast but our recent trip left us wondering if it was our servers last day. We waited and waited and waited! We saw our server go by a ton of times and saw him chatting with other staff but he did not seem too concerned to get to our table, even after waiting 20 minutes to place our order. I cameto lunar rogue for a drink with friends. They have a nice selection of drinks but some of the drinks on the menu has change. The service wasnt the best I ever had, and compared to other restaurant in Fredericton it was really on the low side. For the food we shared the buffalo chicken dip. It was good, not to spice. But it really felt like it was mayo and frank red hot mixed together with chicken piece and cheese on top. The nachi chip were good but the pita read were stale and cold.
