Roast beef po boy. They do not mess around!
    Marcella S.

I am glad that we came to try Pirates Cove since so many had recommended it. My husband ordered two po boys- their sweet heat brisket and a small fried shrimp. I was on a mission to try their roast beef. Absolute deliciousness! It was messy as a great po boy should be. I had a side of gravy for it and to dip our fries. This gravy was so rich and the perfect compliment for the roast beef. My husband devoured the brisket so I knew that it was a hit. He is a fried shrimp fanatic but wasn't too crazy about the shrimp. He said that it needed some seasoning in the batter. He loved their fries with the gravy. I now crave that roast beef po boy quite a bit. It's a short drive away from us and I am extremely grateful for that!

Roast Beef, and some wet lettuce.

For many years, I have rated the PC Roast Beef Po-Boy as Super, Superb. But today, it was the WORST Beef and was too chewy and hard to digest. Interestingly, for a Saturday, there were not many folks there. My famous last words are: I SHALL NOT Return!

My Husband ordered a buffalo shrimp po boy that my son and I tried to eat for ourselves. My cheeseburger was a decent size. I didn't care for the fries, they were fried twice, but that's not my preference. Both children had fried shrimp baskets, decent portions. Establishment was clean and the staff was friendly. The food was good, just nothing we would drive from our home of an hour away.

I grew up down the street and this place is a must visit every time I come home. I'm not sure when they added the catfish plate back but so happy to see it. One of my favorites besides the burger and shrimp poboy.

We dined in with a group of five at Pirate's Cove on Saturday afternoon about an hour before they closed. The service was awesome, the food was affordable and it tasted good. They do close at 4 PM, so you want to arrive for lunch to give them a shot. Everyone liked their food. My son had the hamburger (single) with all toppings and french fries. I ordered a 1/2 size (6 inch) po boy with fried oyster and fried shrimp with alll toppings and fries. My husband and mother in law had the chicken tender po boy sub (whole & split it). The half subs were a great size. Their tap water did not have an after taste. My brother in law ordered the same sandwich as me and his gf ordered the shrimp po boy! There were no complaints about the food, portions or taste. They even had bluebell ice cream cones available and shakes. The icing on the cake for my son was the mini arcade room, where he got to play a few games while we waited for our food to come out. This is a must have if you are in the area or even neighboring cities like Gulfport or Long Beach. We will be back!

I happened to be in Pass Christian , Mississippi on some business and had a few hours so we decided to have a couple of Po Boy sandwiches. I had a large Shrimp Po Boy full dressed and my friend had their large Cheeseburger Po Boy . We had an order of Fries and Onion Rings . The sandwiches were great. My Po Boy was loaded with Shrimp. dressed with lettuce , pickle, tomatoes, along with a simple Mayo . The fries were coated crunchy and tasted great. My onion rings were cooked perfectly and weren't at all greasy. I would definitely come here again. Compared to other places in the area, their prices were fair. Next time, I'm going for the Roast Beef Po Boy. It looked delicious too

Best roast beef po-boy on the coast. Have been coming here my whole life and nothing will ever top it!

paid $15 for this small plate. corn nuggets were good but the chicken strips were very small & overcooked. Very disappointing experience.

Waited about 15 minutes and paid almost $15 for a very disappointing meal. The corn nuggets were small but good. The chicken strips should be called chicken nuggets because they were so small. But they had diet root beer , so that was a plus! And also I didn't think that the register should prompt customers for a tip when all they offer is counter service and not waitress / waitor service.

Overpriced- sub-average food. Can get better food at same price down the road. I will say it was clean.

We also had a catfish poboy and the catfish is probably the best so far that I've had on the MS coast and the poboy is overstuffed! I feel like they don't do that anymore. The onion rings are hand battered and only complain it wish it came with more. We came right before a rush and it seemed like only on person was running the front (cashier and waiting). It was fine until it got busy but nothing horrible. Give it a visit! I'll be back in the future.

Had it not been for Yelp, we would have never seen the Juicy Caboosy, as it sits back 1 block off the beach. Don't let the looks fool you, as this place is definitely "legit". The exterior is intriguing; especially if you like trains, but one would be remised if you think there is no room to eat. The caboose itself is actually the kitchen. This is a counter service restaurant, and you can either outside or take your food inside the climate-controlled dining room that is almost all glass and offers great views and natural lighting. I ordered the coast scramble with the seasoned potatoes, and it was pretty darn good. This is the kind of breakfast that will "stick to your ribs" and be with you for a while, so you definitely won't be leaving hungry. It would probably be great for a hangover too, but I digress. I truly cannot recall what the wifey ate, but I don't recall any negative comments. My son got the pancakes and they were pretty big. Luckily for me, he let me sample them, and they were delicious. I would definitely go back here and try one of their wraps & flats or Harvest Bowls. So, the next time you are cruising down the coast in Long Beach, Mississippi, take a look to the north for the red caboose and stop on in for a great meal.

The service was really friendly and my food came out very quickly. Prices were reasonable and I didn't see a hugely extensive menu tho several of the burgers were unique without being outstandingly weird or out in left field. One thing I am DEFINITELY taking off a star for is charging a 3% surcharge to the customer to offset using a debit or credit card. I own a small business and I 100% feel like this is a cost of doing business and not something to pass on to the consumer. Or, if you're going to charge that kind of surcharge, let there be a purchase minimum, say 5 to $10. It annoys me when businesses do this. It seems needlessly "penny-pinchy" and if you're going to accept credit cards and debit cards for the convenience of the customer, that is what you accept as a business owner. My business accepts this as it cost to doing business, I absolutely feel like this is the cost of doing business by the owner, and I will die on this hill. That aside, the food was really good. Fries were hot and crispy and the burger fresh and juicy. Highly recommend and I'd pay with cash, like I did to avoid the "customer convenience fee" which is anything but convenient!
