Not only was there a person there to greet us and take our order, they put a ringer on the counter and a sign to press for service if someone isn't out front. Honestly it felt like a slightly more affordable Lunds- same kind of set up and not overly huge like a Cub or Hyvee. I saw a couple of flavors of items I don't see at my normal grocery store which was nice. We ended up getting sparkling water that we had never seen before. While we didn't interact with any employees (self check out) I noticed there were a lot of them. I'll definitely be back when I have more time and I'm actually looking to buy groceries. I could see this becoming a regular stop on the way home if our grocery delivery forgot something. I recommend checking it out and if you have time stop and eat in the cafe- that's what will get you in the door! Plus, I can't think of a better way to grocery shop than filling up on Scandinavian pancakes beforehand.

They have everything you could want and dream of in a grocery store, they have great meat selection and also everything is fresh and clean. I like how they have upper end options for things but also lower end options if that is what you are in to.. just love the options. Anytime that I am in the neighborhood, or anywhere within a 10-15 minute radius, I make a point to stop here to grab food from their kitchen. The food is always plentiful and extremely delicious no matter what you get. My personal favorite is the 'chicken rice' but they have burgers, fries, gyros, kabobs etc. You will be surprised how amazing the food actually tastes. I also really like the desserts in the freezer - lots of great cakes and pastries, my fave is shaped and named after a potato (kortoshka), which is a fudgy goodness. They have mostly everything you need here, I want to say these are Cambodian owners but don't quote me on that. Most of their stuff here is catered more to southeast Asian cuisine. Vegetables are usually really fresh. Meat and seafood is fresh too. Never had any issues with funky smells or anything like other Asian stores Ive gone to. Parking gets sparse when busy. It's the worst. It's remarkably refreshing whenever I make the trek out to a different Cub to see how nice they can be. Small store, the same 10 employees, doing the same things every day with the same stock, and the same lack of quality control. Produce is spotty at best, if you don't check it like a hawk, it won't just be iffy, it will be fully rotten. The meat, I don't even bother. "Manager's Special" doesn't mean expiring soon, it means it expired last week. The Deli, they must make sandwiches and hold them in the back for 36 hours because I've never seen one that wasn't at least 36 hours old (And spoiler alert, they only really keep for 18 hours) The Bakery is fine but the selection is ALWAYS the same now.. They haven't even bothered to make pies for months. It's like the management team or owner can't be bothered. They must just cash checks with no oversight because nothing ever changes at this place. The one thing that not surprisingly does change? The prices skyrocketing. And I don't just mean the packaged goods that have been inflated beyond believe everywhere in the state, I mean their Deli and Bakery prices now rival Lunds and Byerly's.. Literally NO quality control at this place and the employees are too often very comfortable with being overly familiar and unprofessional which is a huge indicator of no managerial or ownership oversight.
