Always hot and dark in there. Waiters aren't very pleasant. Food isn't great. We go out of are way to go into cullman instead of going here.

They will not serve you if you try to order on the phone within 30 minutes of the posted closing time. On two different days, they told me that their chef had left for the day and that they were "closed." This is not acceptable to me! I wasn't planning on sitting down to eat, I would have taken the meal to-go. "Closing-time" indicates the latest that you can order and is the time that the kitchen closes. At the very least, turn off your "Open" neon sign so as not to waste my time. read more

I took my three children there. We all ordered at the same time but our food came out different times. My seven-year-old son didn't get his cheeseburger until everybody else was finished eating. The food was delicious and our server was great just so I guess the mishaps in the kitchen. read more

Pretty basic Mexican restaurant. There's nothing toooo crazy amazing about this place, but they've got pretty decent drink specials during happy hour. :) the staff is friendly and the food is for sure good, it's just not knock your socks off. Came here as a tourist and was craving Mexican food because I eat Mexican food frequently. For being located in a small town in Alabama I would say the food was very good, and the service was excellent. The chips were very fresh and hot and the salsa was pretty good. I ordered the Chile San Bryan con Camarones because it sounded like something I have never had: a grilled stuffed bell pepper with prawns, cheese, broccoli and other vegetables. It was very good. I almost didn't come here because of some of the bad reviews. But, a local resident insisted that I should go there. I am glad I did. read more

Lupe's is convenient for people living in Hanceville for eating Mexican food. The biggest reason I don't go there much is because it is always so hot in there! If you would invest in a good air conditioner you would make more money in the long run. read more

I have only eaten there once and was not very impressed. I got a steak quesadilla and the steak was still very pink the cheese dip was super watery and I was disappointed to see they use regular shredded cheese, not the white kind most Mexican restaurants use. If you are in a hurry, like good salsa, and having your order right this place is not you. Last week our FFA Stringband had to compete across the road at the college and decided to give it a try. First off they didn't give us enough silverware for out 20+ group and we got to go get them ourselves. Next when they brought our drinks out they sat half of them on another table where we had to get up and get them. After we finished our first round of chips and salsa they never brought anymore after we asked multiple times. Now after waiting about 30 minutes we finally got our food. I got the shrimp nachos and they was good but a half order at other places was bigger then this. My mother ordered a taco salad and one would think you couldn't mess that up but this place somehow managed to do so. Her taco salad had hardly any lettuce, no guacamole,and the beans were under the shell not even in the salad. The tip we left as a group was 6 dollars which was probably 6 dollars more then we should have left.. read more
