The process of cremation was new to both me and my youngest sister who was with me. Chris called Connecticut Hospice and arranged to transport my sister's body, even before we got to the facility. Once we arrived, he was patient and kind each time he explained something to us. He promptly returned each and every call I made to him. Our situation was unusual in that while my youngest sister and I were doing the planning of our loved one's service and cremation, she had left the insurance to two other relatives. Thus, Chris had to meet (at different times) with each of them, as well. He treated them with the same professionalism and genuine kindness that he showed my sister and me. Once arrangements were worked out; he was even understanding of my attention to every detail, and accommodated even the smallest request, such as making my deceased sister's eyebrows darker. In addition, she died with a terrible protrusion to her lower lip and I was very disturbed by it, but Chris assured me that they would be able to fix it, and they did; her lips looked just like they did when she was alive. And the makeup was perfect (excluding the eyebrows), and natural looking. Even during the service, when my hospitalized daughter asked us to see if she could Zoom into the service, Chris worked to make sure that she could. The only problem was the microphones, and today, when I visited, he had a guy working on that, just as I expected he would. He made a very difficult time so much easier for all four family member who met with him. His professionalism, amiableness, kindness, and understanding are very much appreciative. I recommend this place to all who are looking for someone warm like him, and for a spacious, spotless, and beautiful environment for their loved one's homegoing services, all at a highly reasonable cost.

He bad mouthed his own family in front of us. They had a very small TV for the video, there was paint peeling from the furniture in the home, especially the post in front of the casket. It smelled like an "old home". The Director left his 20 year old son in charge of the Calling Hour Service, we had over 300 people come through and the boy was no help at all. The day of the services, he was a completely rude to my family. He must have under estimated the services, because he made up charges such as delivering flowers to Hospice, multiple newspapers ads and cosmetic services to the tune of $1200. In the end, the Funeral Director was a bully, he was very disrespectful to a new widow. Seriously, who does that?

A very old…read moregraveyard People like rivers and since the small town of Clinton has some really nice ones, people have been hanging around here for a long time. At one time a booming ship building industry was present along the Indian River but now the town is more known for it's tourism. This graveyard is ancient indeed and I even heard that one marker dates from 1670. I couldn't find that one, maybe it no longer exists, but I did find some that date back to the early 1700s. Like most old gravestones, especially ones near the ocean, many were very difficult to read. Others were broken and some just nubs ready to return to the earth. The cemetery can be hard to find because you have to go under a very narrow railroad trestle to get in it. However it is actually much larger than it first looks and has a very large variety of different memorials and gravestones. A very cool old graveyard to explore and walk around. A whole lot of history, some of it very old, is contained inside.

Neil went out of his way to meet with us on a holiday weekend so we could begin to make arrangements for my mother's funeral. He explained all options in detail, including costs, and guided us through every decision we had to make: viewing, funeral service, burial, casket, flowers, pall bearers, obituary, and death certificates. He coordinated very well with the church. What stands out most is how beautiful my mother looked in the casket on the day of her funeral: as we had requested, her hair was colored and styled as she would have liked it, her makeup was flattering, her nails were nicely done, her rosary was well-placed in her hands, and even the guardian angel pin we had left in her nursing home room was pinned to her jacket.
