The fairgrounds hold a lot of permanent bits of history as well as large functional show spaces for events such as the Florida state fair which we go to every single year. It's incredible really when you think about all the things that go on here simultaneously at the fair. The circus, the rides, the various animal comps....this year we even saw a cow give birth in the Mooternaty ward. Well worth the price of a ticket let me tell you!

There are a few different areas: covered seating where the restrooms are, another area with tables and chairs for eating, an uncovered patio area, a covered patio with cornhole and patio chairs. They have a nice sized stage for your DJ or band. The area for dancing in front of the stage is not covered (that I remember) and the floor is brick pavers. They had 2 areas that were bars. There was a Photo Booth, and a 360° booth, and several areas to take nice photos. I can't say if they were included because I didn't book it but as a guest this is a beautiful place. Not sure how it would be in the summer time but it was chilly and they do have the stand up propane heaters. I wish I had taken more photos.

Poor customer service, management support, and lack of basic skills…read more I've stayed at this hotel weekly, for business, over the last 4 weeks. Staff is poorly trained and manager unsupportive. I did a mobile check in and John was unable to find reservation. Waited 15 minutes for him to find the assistant manager, Sean, to help. I repeatedly told John that I did a mobile check in, I also provided the room number assigned from app, and he was still unable to find reservation and provide me a key to the room. When Sean arrived he was able to find reservation using the confirmation number, no apologies for the wait or inconvenience. His response was, "you could use your phone to enter the room." As a Titanium Elite Bonvoy member, I'm well aware of the check in process. Even if you check in online your identity needs to be verified at the front desk, one of the reasons I choose Marriott over Hilton. Later in the evening I purchased an item from their marketplace and asked for an itemized receipt. Again, John did not know how to print an itemized receipt. While I tried to help him find the correct button he became frazzled. These are pretty "standard" business traveler actions/requests, mobile check in and itemized receipts. Front desk staff should be better trained. When traveling for business it shouldn't take 15 minutes to check in. And an itemized receipt should be a pretty standard request. I've heard enough of "this is a new system". At this point it's about training.

We were able to use whatever vendors we wanted as long as they were licensed and insured. The space is large and we divided the main space into two separate rooms using pipe and draping to keep the ceremony area separate from the dining area. They have a nice bar area and prep kitchen making it a lot easier for caterers. They have a courtyard also that can serve as the ceremony area if preferred. We used that area for our cocktail hour. They were responsive, articulate, and able to answer whatever question we threw at them. Additionally, they have a bride and groom suite, making it super easy to get dressed at the venue. We highly recommend this venue as they could accommodate everything we needed for our daughter's wedding.
