I'm used to stylists guiding me through the steps of the haircut and styling, which I would certainly expect as a new customer. I've been to a lot of salons and I've always felt pretty good with my results, but I did not feel this way at Smart Skin. My hair was a bit frizzy, and it seemed to lack definition. I think there should've been more effort put in to the styling, as it didn't seem professionally done. While I can appreciate that my appointment was able to be scheduled almost immediately, I probably would try a different salon. I'm also not the most social person, so I usually don't mind if my stylist or the front desk staff are not as talkative; however, I would at least expect they make up for it by providing a good haircut/wash/style.

I looked high & low for the owner...then I ran into the right person that was able to tell me the my ALL time favorite waxer, Paige, was now at Wow!!! I called & quickly made an appointment. Upon arrival, I noticed that Wow was an older home that had been turned into a day spa & salon. Very nicely decorated with such a quaint feel in the lobby. The wax and massage rooms are comfortable and peaceful. Paige is perfect with Brazilian waxes and there is little to no pain! She is an extremely warm person, and I felt that we had a lot in common. Not only did I make a new friend, but the treatment eliminated the vertical lines on my upper lip and reduced the appearance of laugh lines and scowl lines. It's a plasma laser, which is burning with little zaps, after she applied a numbing cream, so you will need to rest, and maybe not plan public appearances for a week.
