Speaking of fun, Audrey K is one such shop, with clothing, stationery, jewelry, gifts and tons of other stuff. I needed a last-minute Felix the Car Clock (eyes go back and forth while tail wags), and there they were -- in a dozen different colors. Don't sleep on these small independent shops; the price was cheaper than Amazon's, and I took it straight home without worrying about a Porch Pirate. This shop has beautiful clothing, jewelry, kitchenware, scarves, hats, crossbody bags, candles, and much more. I was having a lot of indecision, and Nan directed me to some beautiful candles and suggested lighting one and having some tea and meditating with it. I wound up purchasing a beautiful scented candle and also a lovely dish with a bluebird painted on it. All told, my retail therapy didn't even cost me $40! Scentsabilities is a very reasonably priced shop. It was nice to chat with Nan for a little bit, as she's very kind. She also gave my pug a little treat, which made his day. So, as a surprise for my sister, I went to Jackie's shop to look into getting a bag made for my sister. The shop was filled with her leather goods and she had a variety of leathers from which to choose. I decided on a cognac colored bag for her. I asked Jackie to make the exact bag style that she saw - the fold over triangle sling bag. Since I was there, I got one for myself made as well. The following week, the bags were ready to be picked up. They were beautifully made, despite an issue regarding the placement of the zipper. And, even without any specific treatment of the leather, the bags are durable and stains seem to disappear on them. My sister loves the bag and we get tons of compliments on these bags when we carry them. Yes, her work is expensive but it's unique and in my opinion, very well worth it. If you're in Burbank and looking for a wonderful leather creation, go and visit her.

I am definitely going to be making more purchases from Luxmary in the future. They have rare hard-to-find pieces that are genuinely authentic.
