Unprofessional and Rude staff. Nancy's used to be a good place 4-5 years ago. We have made numerous purchases, including a couple occasions where we purchased wedding jewelry. Extremely poor service from staff. Felt like I was on a pawn shop instead of a high quality jewelry store. I went in to purchase an 18k ring, the woman who was helping us said all they had was 21k and 14k. Very abrupt and dismissive. She checked with Nancy and came back to say "WE DONT AND WONT HAVE ANY 18k RINGS, BEIRUT IS NOT ACCEPTING ANY ORDERS ANY LONGER." Okay, that's unusual. What kind of jewelry store says that to a customer? ::STRIKE ONE:: I then proceeded to exit the store and another gold ring caught my eye. I inquired about it, the woman went back to get a price and comes back to say, "OH THIS IS AN 18k RING, ACTUALLY THIS SECTION HAS QUITE A FEW OF THEM." So she has absolutely no knowledge about the store product. ::STRIKE 2:: When she returned after going to the back to get me a price, I was okay with it. I decided to purchase the ring. I went in February 15 to drop of two pieces of jewelry that needed to be resized. The lady helping me got my information and put my jewelry in the bag. The man quickly looked at it and said come back Feb 19 Wednesday it will be ready. Reasonable since it was a long weekend. Wednesday comes & I go to pick it up & it's not ready.. they didn't even touch my jewelry and they claimed they were busy for "valentines" even though I dropped it off AFTER. It seemed like they forgotten about it. They told me to come back Friday feb 21 It's not the fact my jewelry isn't ready it's the principle and the customer service they are giving. A month later, the pebble fell, I came to them, they took the ring to put in a new diamond. When I took it away, they put a golden bridge instead of a diamond. I called and went in yesterday during my lunch time to finally purchase a chain that I have been wanting to replace since mine got stolen years ago. Marty and another kind women helped me (unfortunately I didn't get her name) He was very pleasant to speak to and was able to assist with making sure I left happy with making the adjustments while I was still there. I also inquired about another item which I thought was cute which needed an adjustment that would take a bit longer, but I would not be able to wait since I was on the clock and if I went home and came back it would be too far and I wouldn't have made it back before store closing. Now mind you when I say far, I'm not too far distance wise, but after work/during rush hour it would take me 40+ minutes to get there from where I live due to traffic and the store closes at 6:30, so no way I would make it on time. He informed me I could always call and let him know that I wanted to come purchase the item and he would make the adjustment before I get there to pick it up. Mind you, it was not something super expensive that he needed to cater to my needs, but he was more than happy to provide great customer service. I will definitely go back to get the item I wanted, but I will do it in my day off or on Saturday to make sure I have time to wait and/or traveling would not be an issue. Instead of a fly ball out in left field somewhere, by the look on my fiance's expression, I'd say I had hit a home run. I chose Nancy's Jewelry after I stopped at a few jewelry stores both large and small. I even browsed online. Nancy's Jewelry was just right. From the instant I entered through the buzzed-open door, I knew it felt right. The woman cleaning the counter was my first great impression because she smiled and greeted me warml; and with her eyes, which sparkled like diamonds. Then I was greeted by a woman who assured me that my stress from all of the choices out there would be abated. After I gave her my general idea and price range, she showed me a ring that was more brilliant and larger than I had come across in all my research for the price. When I took a closer look at the setting, I saw the ornate design of a unique ring for my honey! The smaller diamonds surround the main diamond and even cascade down the sides of the setting.
