This chain has many nice offerings from facial soaps to bath bombs. Each item makes a wonderful gift or just something to spoil yourself with. The marketing of their products is so clever with their brightly colored soaps and nose tickling scents to the cute molds like soaps shaped like dinosaurs. Today was not a good day though. Their workers, who usually approach you with eagerness, just ignored me as I tried to find particular items for gifts. I approached the desk to ask for help, but was still ignored as the clerk was busy making small talk with another customer. When I finally found my items, the girl ringing me up could not stop sneezing. So freaking ignorant not to turn her head and cover her mouth. Ugh! This particular store was a bust! read more

Decided to try out the twilight and sakura bath bombs, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The twilight consisted of a lavender-tonka scent that slowly fizzed throughout the evening, revealing hues of pink, purple, and indigo brushed with scintillating glitter--a perfect precursor for a deep, restful slumber. The sakura, on the other hand, seemed to resemble a complimentary, yet contrasting counterpart with its bright, floral scents and hues or pink and blue. Seriously? We are old enough to be this young man's parents, and he's telling us how to be sanitary and that our eyes can smell? This place was fantastic!!!! Let's get into this, Upon walking in the place greets you with the amazing aroma of all the soap and bath stuff. You quickly become lost looking for the right things as you want everything you see. They have amazing gifts all packed up and ready to go, this was very helpful for a guy like me not knowing exactly what to combine with what. Customer service was very helpful however a little over barring. It's as though you are being watched at every moment with a microscope. Price was very fair for the product , being hand made in the USA it was awesome to see that you can look on line to see exactly how and who made the product you get. They are following all COVID guidelines however I do believe they go a bit to far with the hygiene bit. I am very clean and I do use hand sanitizer however they make you wash your hands when coming in. It's actually a good way to test some of their product however it should be optional in my opinion. All in all a great place to get gifts and be sure to have your mask. Also don't sanitize your hands before going in. I love Lush, and always go back for more! This is the first time I've visited in person since Covid, and I'm really impressed with their guidelines in-store. When you first walk up, they give you choices of body wash to sample and have you wash your hands before walking into the shop. They're phenomenal about proper mask wearing and social distancing, and when I popped back into the store with a friend a few hours later they remembered me! I picked up some Scrubbees, a body spray, bath bombs and a new bubble bar. I was most amused by a new bathbomb they had that totally smells like pez. They also gave me a sample of shower gel to try at home in a reusable dishwasher safe container, and the whole process was wonderful. Definitely recommend! read more

I visited the store today in the afternoon looking to start my xmas shopping. The staffs, a man and a woman, were terrible, bad attitude and not welcoming at all. They were talking when we came in and they looked annoyed. The man talked rudely to my husband. The two seemed to rather be chitchatting than working. It had been a while since I had been to a Lush store, but I knew the basics. I did a quick once-over, and then the very friendly "Lush-stress" helped me out whenever my eyes wrinkled in wonderment. Lush stores almost look like bakeries. The way everything is laid out and the smell makes you want to pick up a couple chunks of stuff and start chompin' down on 'em. I usually shop for others when I go here, but I must admit I'm a Karma soap addict. Love the smell...although it doesn't lather up that well. Secondly, I do like the bath bombs. There's just something about making a fragrant, colorful, mess in your bath tub. All in all this location is about a carbon copy of other stores I've been to. I loved the store layout... my, my has Lush grown as a company. Anywho... I ended up buying King of Skin and getting a sample of I believe it's called Therapy massage bar. ooolala. I have keloidal skin that can be very itchy and painful and I have noticed in the last few days the itchiness has decreased. My method is, after I take a shower I rub the body butter all over my skin and after I'm dry I'll rub additional oils-the massage bar- in my kelodial areas for the extra needed moisture. my skin has never felt so soft. Overall, I loved the customer service and she wasn't very pushy. If I'm back in the area again I'll definitely visit a second time. read more

Waitaminnit....did I REALLY just pay $30/lb for some soap? Uh...yes, I did. And I felt good about it. Next to the Apple Store, Lush is incredibly good at hoovering cubic quantities of $$$ from your wallet, and yet leaving you feeling in a near state of post-coital bliss afterward. How the hell do they do it? Well, let me try to explain: THE ROSES: First and foremost, Lush's Secret Weapon in separating you from your ca$h is it's staff; they are truly delightful, and they have plenty of them. The ratio of staff-to-customer when I was there was roughly 2 to 1. They are very pleasant, are very knowledgeable about their products and which ones would work best for you. On top of that, they seem genuinely interested in you as a person, and seem clearly delighted that you have chosen to visit their shop (this is a hard attitude to 'fake'; you can generally spot the ones who are only acting interested in you to make a sale a mile off). There is none of the hipster 'too cool for you' vibe that you find in places like Uptown Espresso. The overall good vibe of the staff makes me suspect that Lush pays them and treats them very well. At the prices they charge, they'd better! The products are actually quite good, and socially/environmentally responsible. They eschew animal testing, and they don't use components like plastic micro-beads in there scrubbing cleansers (a body/face wash product I purchased uses sea salt for abrasion). Like Winston Churchill, I love a nice relaxing bath, and Lush's Bath Bombs are a delight; infused with essential oils, they make for a wonderful soak. THE THORNS: The shop is a little cramped. When we were in Hong Kong, we couldn't even get into the Lush there, 'coz it was so packed. It wasn't bad at all during our visit at their Bellevue Square location, but I suspect around the holidays it can be brutal. The other 'thorn' - at least for now - is the prices. This place is definitely not cheap. While I am very happy with my purchases, I can't help but wonder if I can get equally good artisan soaps at my local weekend Farmers' Market for a lot less money. THE VERDICT: Fun products that really seem to work well and a delightful staff make Lush a 'must visit' for this metrosexual; knee-buckling prices may make those visits less frequent. read more

Bought a nice little gift set here, the Butterball. I was very pleased and looked forward to giving it to someone deserving a relaxing bath. Leaving the mall, the package got a bit wet in the rain, and the Bath Bomb inside started to dissolve. I tried drying it out, but it smelled strong, indicated the ball had dissolved slightly. The manager here was extremely cooperative and exchanged the package outright. The staff member who found the gift box in the first place was really nice too. This store is GIANT. (Compared to Tukwila, which is like a closet). I came here for one purpose. I bought Shimmy Shimmy from another store and happened to be in Bellevue and thought I would ask how to store my lotion bar. The associate didn't quite understand what I was asking. I said... it is sold in a bag and I have bought a tin so do I keep it in that? I feel like it gets dry after a month. I'll be honest: I used to hate this store. When Lush was located in its original, tiny location in Bell Square, I couldn't stand this place. Just passing it by ignited all my latent allergies, as the heady aromas of a million allergens just overtook my senses and I'd subsequently have itchy eyes the rest of the day. The scents were that powerful. And once my kid wanted a Lush cream at Christmas so I smartly loaded up on my allergy meds beforehand and braved the holiday madness and ventured in. It was a disaster: the small store was jam-packed with people who were elbowing each other and me, and a sales rep told me to go in a line that turned out to be the wrong line (after I had waited over 10 minutes). It was a bad experience..... Anyhow, for these reasons, I really, really detested the old Lush store. (I thought I had reviewed the store, giving it one star, and I expected to be updating my review here and now. But I see I never did review the old store). Fast forward to today.... This new and improved Lush store is terrific! As I write this, I find it hard to believe that it's even the same place. The new location in the mall is a gazillion times larger. As a result, the aromas aren't as overwhelming. In fact, not only can I walk by the store but I can actually go inside and not be affected by all the products. It's like night and day. Perhaps they have a better ventilation system in place in this new site (in addition to the MUCH larger space). Not only that, but the sales folks who work here are really nice and also knowledgeable about the product line (which I now see is crazy-extensive). I've visited this store 3 or 4 times in the past few months, as my kid needed gifts for the birthday parties she's been invited to. Each time, the gals on the floor and at the cash have been amazingly helpful and friendly and have assisted my kid in choosing the perfect gift for her friend. I have to say, I have been very impressed by all the beautiful lotions and potions and soaps and bath bombs and more. And what I liked most of all were the beautifully wrapped gift sets, complete with gift tags, starting at $13 (give or take a buck). This totally rocks, especially if you have a kid who needs a birthday gift for a party for later that day that she just informed you about an hour earlier. No need to worry about wrapping or getting tags or cards, and they even put it all in a pretty bag. Voila! Gift ready for the giving. Can't beat that for convenience. The only reason I'm not giving this store 5 stars is because the prices of most products are obscenely high. A chunk of soap for $7 or $8? Too rich for my blood. But for occasional indulgences or, again, for the pre-wrapped gift boxes, this is a lovely place. read more

I really didn't mind, although I'm not sure if she was trying to flirt with me or simply get me to buy the products she was showing me. Either way, I explained to her that I had just walked into this store several minutes prior thinking I was looking at baked goods. I had no idea all of this stuff was facial masks, 'bath bombs,' and soaps. I thought they were cookies of some sort. But my biggest beefs with Lush are: pricing relative to product size, misleading advertising about how organic and green they are, and how cramming densely scented products in a tight area drives me out vs welcoming me in. Basically, the Westlake location is better. I like their bath crumbles and bombs when there's a scent I love, but for the money they charge I want that scent to last my entire bath or shower - not just the first 10-15 minutes. Every time I walk into Lush I break out laughing. The prices aren't just wrong, they aren't just insulting, they're actually hilarious. If the products were actually soap, made from expensive ingredients that spoil, the prices would be nutty -- but most of them use the same petrochemical bullshit ingredients as anything you'd buy anywhere else, so the prices are just fucked. IIn the ear. And everything's SO heavily scented. It makes my delicate bear ass break out in hives. As a plus, the staff are always really sweet and many of them are quite nice to look at, and they usually cheerfully respond to my open derision of their prices and product. The amount of help I received and suggestions based upon my needs I was given samples to try for my newfound skin issue. I have a rough shoulder so a gal *offered* to help me (really petite gal with dark hair - I can't remember her name and I'm kicking myself because I even asked) who was able to take products and set them up front for me, then come back and help me around the store. I'm not disabled by any means whatsoever but carrying around a huge basket wasn't happening with my sore shoulder. Seriously can't express how impressed I was by all of the staff (would ask random questions to others and they answered with the utmost knowledge) and the products are well; amazing. If I could have only one wish, it would be an everlasting supply of Lush products built into a pyramid structure with handsome, Egyptian men around to serenade me while I bathe. Lush, in some ways, have seriously saved my skin. I am not a big fan of soap bars or anything that comes in a bar, so I cannot speak for their bath bombs, bars, or the lotion that comes in a bar (this concept leaves me baffled). I adore their handmade facial masks, ocean salt scrub, and their various toners and moisturizers. My history with Lush is quite extensive. I have used, but is definitely not limited to: Ocean Salt Scrub, Angels on Bare Skin cleanser, Tea Tree Toner, Grease Lightning, Imperialis Moisturizer, Celestial Moisturizer, Ultra Bland, 9 to 5, Mask of Magnaminty, Herbalism, etc. This does not even cover all of it! I have also dabbled in their facial masks. All of them do exactly as they describe. If it's light-weight, it's going to be baby-ass soft. If it's going to clean out your pores, it will suck your pores dry. I love this store and everything about it. As far as customer service, I am always greeted nicely when I come in. This is the store that first fueled my love affair with fresh face masks and tea tree oil face spray. It's not bigger than other locations, and it's actually more full than some other Lush stores I've been to. But it is simply the best location. Every time I come in, I discover a new item I didn't know existed: toothie tabs, shampoo AND conditioner bars, edible massage bars, reusable bubble bath bars, charcoal face scrubs... Okay, I hate Bellevue with a burning passion and avoid it like the plague, but this store will make me hit the Bell Square mall the day before Christmas if necessary. What can you say about Lush? It is the most amazing store ever, they originally started up in the UK, they make everything themselves (soap, shampoo, conditioner, bath bombs, masks, etc.) and one trip there will make you go back again and again and again. If you love a good bath (or even if you're just so-so on the bath-liking front) try a Bath Bomb - there are many, many to choose from, ranging from light and fruity to glittery and floral. Or a bubble bar if you like a good bubble bath. My personal favorites are the Coal Face soap (all soaps are bulk so you decide how much you want), the massage bars, Veganese Conditioner, The Blonde shampoo bar (yes, shampoo BAR!), any of the amazing soaps, cup cake mask (chocolate face mask that needs to be refrigerated - soooo good!), and any of the bubble bars or bath bombs.
