I tend to avoid perfume shops because I have some scent sensitivity, but I was tempted to come here after the Glow event with Bellevue Collective. This particular day the shop felt super small and crowded. It might've been the number of people, or that the last mall Sephora I went to had wider aisles? I'm not sure. It felt like I couldn't walk two steps without running into another associate of some section. Normally I'd be a browser so I'm not sure I'd love that. For this particular trip, though, I was looking for Valentino after the show, and I was easily directed to it and given some samples before picking what I wanted. Additionally, the assistance from the associates can be underwhelming--they often seem rushed and don't fully listen to what you're looking for. I usually prefer to browse on my own, pick up what I need, or try things out to see if I like them. I recently decided that's time to start embracing the grey with the desire for the shiniest hair that ever did shine, and I'm willing to put all sorts of stuff on it to get there. Premium hair requires premium product, right? Well, I refuse to shop at Ulta anymore so when I heard Sephora also sells hair stuff I decided to make my way down. I can't speak for the entire store. I saw the hair stuff in the back corner so I bee lined over there. The parts of the store I walked through were very clean. Items are in their place and overall the store feels inviting. I happily found some products to try and made my way to the cashiers. They were fast, efficient, and friendly. I opted to sign up for their rewards program and got an unexpected bonus - my birthday happened way back in February, but they allowed me to choose my b-day gift anyway! I dare not shop here.First I am followed and not left alone ti explore.When I do purchase a item I asked if they have any perfume samples and The clerk looks at me like we don't! OK Customer Service is not following a person pushing any product unless asked ti do so.I have made an appointment for lashes and again had an issue that when called to can El the clerk said she's busy but will do at end of day.Well policy say if you don't cancel within 24 hr you are charged. not sure why I keep coming to this location. Asked an employee if I could buy a specific perfume since they did not have the boxes in the front. The employee goes to the back and says here's your box and helps me complete the transaction right then and there. Went home and smelled the perfume and it was a completely different one... the box was similar but it was a different scent. I went back and this time checked it after a different employee handed me the correct one. Went to the front and explained to them the situation. The lady told me I owed money (as when I made the first purchase I had like a $10 off from my points. I explained this originally was a mistake from their employee and asked wouldn't it make sense that I get to use my points because it was the wrong item, and she said no. Sure I should have double checked and stated at the item in the first place, but when you ask the employee for an item and they come out with "it" and say here it is, ready to pay? I have YET to have a bad experience at any Sephora and this spot was no exception. I know next to NOTHING about makeup. I am fairly decent at skincare...but this wasn't just a shopping trip; we were there to get makeup done for our engagement pics (sadly, they were canceled, but we went through with the makeup anyway). I had a lovely human named Jess, and my fiance had a sweet human named Nick. My fiance's transformation was fab. He is often red (has been forever), and Nick was able to colour correct and just add little things here and there to enhance his natural handsomeness without feeling thick or looking unnatural. Jess helped me get a super cute, natural but a bit more... I REALLY should have purchased that concealer that was used because my dark circles were practically gone, and as a chronically ill human with chronic pain, my dark circles are PRESENT. So thank you, Sephora for another fabulous experience, and hopefully, we will see you again in January when we come to try again to get the pics done! read more

Great people to help, clean and very organized. Let's get into this! I came in for some gifts for Christmas. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They pointed out all the deals showed me the high price options and low price options, the went through all the deals and provided great info on all the products. The store was very clean and organized, with each section neatly arranged and holiday deals up front it was easy to come in and find some things for my lady. The price was good but I don't have much experience with how much things should cost here, so for what I got I do believe I got a good deal. They are following all COVID guidelines but not overbearing. All in all I would absolutely be back for my lady. It was a fantastic experience and I do totally recommend coming here. read more

I learned so much from Kyle during my one hour Full Face Makeover! He did an excellent job listening to my wants and needs, while also artistically delivering a one of a kind natural and glowy look made just for me. In the notes section before I submitted the date and times, I added about my sensitive eczema prone skin and wanting a natural 'no-makeup makeup' look without eyelashes, eyeliner or bold high contrast colors. I hoped my makeup artist would take the time to read it before the appointment and guess what - he did. The person doing my makeup waa Kyle, a kind, easy to talk to, bubbly, knowledgable, passionate perfectionist! Before the appointment having arrived early, he symphasized with my sensitive skin which showed me he took the time to read my notes beforehand. I knew I was in good hands! It's no surprise he uniquely choose only the most natural high quality products for sensitive skin! The makeover process went great, however I really wish there was a two hour option for those seeking more one on one makeup instruction. Believe me when I say that, learning everything he had to teach, our one hour makeover flew by so fast! We didn't get a chance to do the lips, but even despite this I hardly needed it, photo attached! He did an incredible job with everything else including skin care/prep, concealer, eyebrows, eyes, ect. He was teaching and advising me where to apply the products, how much product to use, how often, and so forth, while alao answering my questions and listening to my needs and wants. He took quality time with me while also powering through and squeezing what he could into one hour. Overall, Kyle artistically and thoughtfully showed me how to create a fresh, warm and glowy look, catered to my Asian/Latina skin tones, with products specifically for my sensitive skin as requested. I highly recommend Kyle and this location for a full face makeover. It's been a while since our makeover and I'm still using the same products and techniques I learned from Kyle to this day! read more

Yet, today, at least five employees pestered us and were annoying. The guy who did my face selected good products for my face and handled my face in a very gentle and relaxing way. I felt relaxed and refreshed and very clean and moisturized. Then I asked for help choosing new good products to achieve the right natural nude look for my face. Jaz helped me choose the right lipstick and eyeliner and cheek color for my skin and was very nice and fun and honest too. Then yesterday I came in and got an all over makeover with Sunha. This sephora location is just fantastic. Normally, I go to a Sephora after looking on YouTube or doing my own research on what to buy. As someone who is inexperienced with makeup, I usually have no idea what I'm doing and buy whatever the internet tells me to. With my engagement shoot coming up, I decided to swallow my pride and ask for help. I came across Kelsey at the store and told her if she could recommend a contour kit that would last the length of my shoot. She was so kind and sweet and offered not just a recommendation but to also show me how to use it. In conversation, I mentioned my engagement shoot and she came up with a whole look that she could teach me to do day of. I've never experienced such kind service that was so sudden. Dear Sephora, My daughter just told me that her and her friends get harrassed majority of the time when they're in the store being accused of stealing. I don't appreciate this because first, these kids can afford to buy any of your product in the store, second, the kids buy so much make up that I don't even get a chance to buy my own because they buy too much of it, thirdly, freaking install a camera so you can see who's stealing instead of making it uncomfortable to the person being accused and uncomfortable to people that witness it. Lord. I cannot believe how many shopping errands I helped run today. I now have an opinion on Sephora. I didn't know what this place was 12 hours ago. Never heard of it before. But you can't get within ten feet of this place and escape the possibility of its making an impression on you. You zigzag through makeup counter after makeup counter just to get into the place. Every makeup counter has super bubbly artists wearing utility belts full of brushes and pencils and applicators and alien apparatuses that can't possibly come near anyone's face, ever, if they want to live a normal life. But, then, like I say, I know nothing of these places. Just don't try to tell me what all those things are for. Please. Allow me to soldier on under the merry illusion that your beauty is effortless. We'll all be the better for it. I promise you this. I don't know how you can tell all this stuff apart. The store is unneccessary. It represents an outstanding success in selling American women the concept that they need all these 'beauty' accessories to be either beautiful or indulge themselves. What in the world am I reviewing Sephora for? Why would I set in a Sephora? Well, the skin is breaking out these days. I did some research online about products to help with this. Buying online is cheaper if you know what you are looking for and how to use. I did not have an idea on the second account so I headed for Sephora. The store itself is a bit smallish for a Sephora. I have seen a couple of stores that are much larger. The men's section of products is a bit small. I saw a small cologne and skin section near the checkouts. I was looking for an acne scrub and found it. To be sure, I felt out of place here being an Asian guy in a beauty store. Staff also had these store walkie talkies, which kind of made me feel like a klepto shopping here. I do give Sephora a star for some nice customer service and helpful advice on using that scrub. Let's just say that it saved me from going Goldmember on my skin. read more

Just visited the store after they have moved to the new spot inside Bellevue Square. The new store is way more organized. Most products are sorted by brands so I can find any products FAST. SA is always approachable/helpful while not super pushy like NM or Nordstrom. I can browse around and try out anything/everything freely as long as I want. Yes since Sephora carries so many brands the SA there may not have very deep knowledge about a particular product. However, who needs it anyway?? Pull out my phone/tablet then I could get way more product description, price comparison, reviews and tips than i can ever handle. Most department store beauty department offers commission based pay, I can get more attention there but i feel i tend to do more impulsive buys. I also don't like the tricks they did to make everything they put on me looks great. This set my expectation too high and things turned south too fast after i used the products at home after a day or two. It is always much easier to request sample from Sephora than any other department store unless i plan to purchase anything on the same trip. Don't forget to check out SK-II !! i believe this is the only retail location in Seattle beside Nordstrom Bellevue. Other products are pretty much the same as other locations. read more
