When we got there, a woman (maybe the owner?) greeted us in the front and explained the process. There is a larger selection of dresses than I expected and they are all protected in plastic. There is a card attached to each dress with helpful information such as available colors and the price. You can pick a few dresses and give it to one of the staff who then help you with changing into the dress. I liked their customer service. The young staffers help pick out dresses based on what you're looking for or what you've picked out and they were great with helping to change in and out of dresses multiple times. They do have a no-camera policy unless you've purchased the dress. This makes it hard to compare dresses because after a while I forget what each dress looks like and which looks better. I wish they would organize the dresses by color so that we don't have to go looking for the color we want. Even though the available colors may not be in the store, it's helpful to see the color in the style in person. In the end, we didn't find a dress here but it was a good experience with great service.

From the moment you walk into Zatsarina, you're met with kindness and professionalism. The inside is sleek and showcases all of Gina's talents. For my personal tailoring, in terms of a unique situation, I needed sleeves from a jacket placed on a spaghetti strap dress. Then, I needed a bustle added to my dress, tulle taken out of the bottom layers, and a slit added. The fabric of my jacket sleeves were very delicate (covered in beads); and I needed someone who I could fully trust. She delivered. She even hand placed matching beads in spots that were naturally not as crowded, to match the rest of the jacket. Additionally, she hemmed the sleeves of the jacket, so they were perfect. For my bustle, I wanted something that did not create a large bump around my butt, and the way she made the bustle was perfect and almost invisible. (My train was LONG, when bustled, you could not tell there were 14 buttons to make this possible.) It was so easy to connect everything- she showed my MOH a video how to do so too and even encouraged her to record it, which was super helpful dua of. my sister (MOH) was able to do it within a few minutes. Gina's work is perfection. She met with me multiple times to make sure everything was perfect and even provided directions on how to steam the day off. Also, Gina makes custom wedding dresses! Most places wouldn't have been able to do that, but Zatsarina's really came through. My first fitting was on August 24th with a second scheduled for September 18th and finally a pickup for October 4th. Gina was so efficient and diligent explaining what needed to be done (take in the shoulder straps, hem, bustle, etc). My first visit was thorough and she explained everything perfectly. All of the alterations would come to $800 (as I had bought off the rack at another boutique). When I came in for my fitting everything was looking great and only a few minor tweaks needed to be made. All in all, a great experience. There was a bit of a hiccup at the end when it wasn't fully ready for my pickup and still needed to be steamed. They made it work and were able to finish it while I waited. I didn't entirely like dealing with her husband but Gina was EXCEPTIONAL. She suggested a video on how to bustle which was super helpful for later. As I mentioned, I had a difficult request with such a quick turnaround time, but I'm so grateful for how everything turned out and how Gina was willing to help and deliver such high quality service.

We were required to order bridesmaid dresses 8 months in advance, which already felt unusual. After ordering, I found out I'm pregnant and the wedding will be when I'm about 5 months along, so I called the store to ask if I could simply change the size since the dress hasn't even arrived yet. The dress is from a designer whose website shows 8-9 week shipping for special orders yet the store insisted the process takes 8 months. At first I was told the bride requested the dresses early, which wasn't true. Later they changed the explanation and said their shipping takes longer than the designer's... even though that is who they place their orders through so makes absolutely no sense. After speaking with the bride, she was also told that we had to order before December because of upcoming tariffs that would supposedly increase the price. However, the dress is currently the exact same price to order today, which makes that explanation confusing as well. The bride also mentioned to the consultant during ordering that some bridesmaids could potentially be pregnant, but later I was told that if the bride had specifically said that someone is trying to get pregnant, they would have advised ordering a larger size. Apparently the wording needed to be extremely specific in order to receive that guidance. Despite the dress not even being in my possession yet or theirs, I was told I would have to purchase an entirely new dress and could not change the size or receive any credit. I understand bridal items can be final sale, but the inconsistent explanations and lack of flexibility were really disappointing especially given the circumstances. I wish there had been more honesty and willingness to help. I would absolutely never give these people my business and if you're thinking about it BEWARE. They will rip you off and try to manipulate you with zero remorse. Might I add the wedding is still 5 months away

I brought her a delicate and very oversized gown (I lost 40lbs) in mid Aug. She assured me she was familiar with the dress and knew it was from Macys bridal. I felt confident. I went to two other local seamstresses and this shop was least expensive. I made an appt. to pick it up on Sept. 16. I went there and it was not done (2 1/2 weeks later). She said I should have called her first...ummm thats what an appt is for, right? I got stern with her and she said her son was in the hospital. Now I felt stupid for being worried. She kept saying to call her, I said no you call me when its done. She said come Friday it will be done. When I showed up Fri (9/20) the business was closed. I finally got her to answer my calls the following Tues, as her voicemail box was full. I was told to come in the next morning. When I did my dress was only half done. She sized the rest of it and said to pick it up Monday morning (9/30) after arguing that I needed it ASAP. When I arrived Mon. there was an Eviction notice on the door. She came out to meet me and assured me I would have my dress that day she was having landlord problems...Told me again to call her after 1pm. She ignored my calls, and I finally got got an answer by calling from a different number. At 3pm she told me she was going to sign papers and could get in by 8-9 pm. I stayed around that night only to find out I could get my dress at 10am the next morning. So this morning, the property manager opened the door for the customers and let us get our items. After speaking w him & several other clients I concluded this was happening to all of them. My dress was still hanging in the dressing room where I left it 1 week prior. She hadn't even touched it!!! Never even put it on a hanger. She had no intentions on finishing it. I'm a fool for giving so many opportunities to this shop. I brought my unfinished dress to another seamstress in town today and she could seem to figure out what this woman had done with my dress. She said it was shortened too much and said the alterations already done were not professional. I only hope my dress is able to get done by Friday by this kind seamstress. I met lisa at the shop afterwards to get a refund (after telling my husband she would) and she told me to dispute it with the credit card. She said what about the work I already did....REALLY???? With all the stress and running around chasing you down, you should be paying me! She hopped in her friends car and drove away. Please beware of this shop!!!! And read other brides reviews online, you will come up with more stories. Dont believe me, call the Metuchen tax dept or county landlord division. Its unfortunate for the other brides who have been waiting months to get their dresses with no answers.

I really had a great time here. The woman who owns this store is just awesome, and you can tell she's really excited to help you choose the perfect dress for your wedding. The level of service you get here is just a million times better and more personal than you'd get at any of the bigger stores (davids bridal, macy's, ect ).. and really the prices are reasonable to. She also offers free alterations and a free veil ( at least the promotion was available at the time I ordered my dress). I just got my dress today...alterations and everything ;P It's absolutely beautiful and I"m so happy we found this store. Definitely make this one of your stops if you're in the market for a wedding dress !
