I was convinced that no dress would fit me and I would end up wearing something that looked like a night gown. My stylist encouraged me to try on different styles. The best decision I made was to say I would! Never in a million years did I think a mermaid gown would be right for me, but it was. On Saturday, April 26, 2025, we called Hearts for You to see if we could get in after having a bad experience at our 2nd appointment. They gave us an appt within the hour, at the last minute! We were given Evelyn, who was so amazing. She was extremely friendly, polite, remembered everyone's name (7 of us), and boy did she know how to narrow it down to find the PERFECT wedding dress for my daughter. I wish I could rate them "0" stars. I experienced every Mother of the Bride's worst nightmare. Less than one hour before walking my daughter down the aisle, and after having the dress on for barely half an hour, the zipper completely broke. Fighting off tears, I had to be sewn into the dress by my future son-in-law's grandmother using a dollar store emergency sewing kit. I missed all the special moments, including putting on my daughter's veil in the final minutes before she embarked on her new life. That precious mommy-daughter time is something I'll never get back. When I returned to the store after the wedding, I was told it wasn't their fault because I had signed for the dress when I picked it up. While I did sign for it, I didn't check the zipper, the appliqués, or the hem because I trusted the quality of the dress, the store, and the seamstress. Family members and I brought the zipper issue to the seamstress's attention during all three of my fittings. She repeatedly assured us, "It's fine; there's nothing wrong with it. I know this dress; I just needed to adjust the (the girls)." I was even accused of not zipping it up correctly. However, the zipper was of poor quality, and the teeth had completely separated. The owner was rude and insisted that since I signed for the dress, they were not responsible. I had paid the seamstress in cash--nearly half of what I paid for the dress. The store only accepted cash payments. Although the seamstress was not an actual employee of the shop, they admitted to taking a commission from her and handling her scheduling. This distinction meant the store denied responsibility. The owner's attitude was beyond rude. I took my case to small claims court. They blatantly lied, and I lost because I had signed for the dress. They offered to arrange for the manufacturer to provide a new dress, but I told them, "What would I do with another dress? My daughter's wedding is over." Special photos were never taken because my dress was a disaster. The quality of the dresses is subpar, and the customer service is terrible. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere. read more

RUN. On 12/16/23, I joined my future sister-in-law to pick up her dress. She was so excited. Invited family and friends to see her pick up her gown and put on HER dress. First off, we were treated rudely as we entered into the door. We were asked "oh you're all with her?" Never told there was a limit and tbh, there was only 4 of us. One of the main missions of the day was to find a veil. Before the bride could open her mouth, the person helping was throwing veils at her. The bride was trying to ask the sales associate to cinch the back because it was very loose and it was all over the brides face. They ignored her wishes. As she was asking questions about the dress to make sure they could do the alterations, they said that everything she wanted to do was not able. 1. Close the slit 2. Take off the bottom "horse hair" halo on the train. Now, the dress alone needs about a foot hemmed off. Th horse would come with it. Now it comes to storage and preservation. Aggressiveness by the staff was an understatement. I am a lifelong sales person and I was disgusted. My poor future family was almost in tears trying to figure out what to do with her dress and was also trying to understand the preservation process. Before she could confide in her family, she was whisked to the back to take off the dress. We were then asked "Are you done here?" With a snarky face to rush the other bride along. We were pressured into the sorting and restoration. At the shop along with the alterations. I feel so bad for my SIL, this was a big exciting day for her and she left in defeat. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else and the employees learn how to read people spending THOUSANDS of dollars. read more

This place came highly recommended. As soon as I walked in I was being rushed. On top of that I told her my price range , as she proceeded to go through the dresses would say OUT LOUD " not in your price range, not in your price range, not in your price range" over and over again. I said I didn't like a certain style but on the mannequin I saw it and wanted to try it on. She told me oh but you don't like that style completely ignoring me & not letting me try on the dress. The girls that work there had no idea what they were doing as they couldn't find me the bride in their system. Every time one of my bridesmaids would go to pick out there dress they always had to call me, being a bride that's the last thing you want. The women always had an attitude and rude to myself or my bridesmaid in person or over the phone. They acted like they would do the alterations in the beginning, but they said the seamstresses were to busy when it came time for them and they didn't have anyone they recommend. The staff here was very friendly and all very helpful. Questions relating to the seamstress were answered by the seamstress herself. Sloane was great to work with, with a lot of knowledge. I found my dress on the first shot. Will be oming back with my bridesmaids for there dresses. The sales help was great & steered me to the style of dress I later found, purchased, & now have at home from another location - but her superior reprimanded me for not having enough time for a MOB dress for a wedding 6 months away! I came here to pick out a bridesmaid dress, and the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly! I called ahead and asked if I'd need an appointment for a Friday at 5:00 and they told me that it would be fine to walk in. When I did, they were packed and said that I should have made an appointment. Despite that small hiccup, they were still able to help me out and I ended up walking away with the perfect dress! The staff here has an eye for dresses and you can definitely tell that they know what they are doing. I was certain that I had found 'the dress' but the woman who was helping me kept rifling through the racks (there are a TON of dresses here) and ended up finding a dress that I liked even better. They have a huge selection of bridesmaids dresses and there was also an area with a ton of wedding dresses as well! My friend got her wedding dress here and it's absolutely stunning. My overall experience here was amazing! I'd love to give this place a 5 star review. I called & was taken in the same day. Even got my dress one week earlier than expected! :) My dress was the most beautiful creation! My issue is with my seamstress. At my first & second fitting I was concerned about the top being too big - my bust. I'm barely a B cup. I expressed my concern & on the second fitting she had added cups. Third fitting, I didn't feel 100% about the alterations but went against my gut & believed the seamstress when she said it needed to be steamed & the dress would fit me more properly.. Wish I knew better. Fast forward my wedding day, my dress on top was so big & there was nothing I could do about it. I look back at the photos now & one area where it was sewn to "form my bust" better is totally noticeable in almost every photo from the left angle. I hate looking back at those beautiful photos because the imperfection on the dress is undeniably presentable. This makes me so sad considering my dress was $1500 & alterations $675. To make matters worse, my dress had a pin left over from alterations that drew blood the first time I sat. I was head over heels in love with my dress up until the moment I put it on & it wasn't a perfect fit, even after it was steamed. Such bull! Go with your gut ladies! Learn from my mistake. If I had to do it again, I would go back for the same dress, but definitely not go there for alterations. read more

RUN away from this place!! Do not spend one second of your time or any of your money at this terrible establishment. My poor sister found her dream dress here and despite a VERY rude manager, she was happy to have found her dress. She had it altered here as well and after paying fully for it and for the preservation of her dress ahead of time, it broke ONE hour into her reception. The straps completely tore off with no reason and my sister had to change into bridal sweats for her whole reception. After the wedding, she had an appointment to go over this with the manager and the seamstress, where they refused to give her any type of discount and told her "we will fix the dress before we preserve it for you". WHAT?! She wore her WEDDING dress for ONE hour. Their response was "you should have called us to come to the venue and fix it". It was 8pm on a Friday night, 2 hours away. Truly the most disgusting people work here and trust me when I say, it is not worth the stress to even enter this store. read more

Let me start off by saying that I am a long time Castle Couture customer. When I began searching for my Maid of Honor dress in September, it turned out CC didn't have the dress, but Hearts For You did. Needless to say, I took my chances and placed the order for my dress at HFY in October. I was told my dress would come in a few months, as I needed it for my best friend's wedding in March 2017. A couple of months went by and I didn't hear anything from the Bridal salon. So, beginning of December I started calling asking about the status of my dress. Marianne, the manager, was quick to tell me it hadn't arrived yet, but it would 100% be here in February with enough time to make the necessary alterations. Another month went by and I called and called again. Same thing--"it'll be here soon." Now, here we are in March, and I just received a phone call from Marianne the other day saying that my dress (that I paid $900 for that I need in 2 weeks) isn't coming. How could they do that to their customer? Turns out, they never placed the order for my dress. They were quick to take my money, but didn't place the order, and blamed the delay on Chinese New Year. Pretty sure this isn't the first time they received an order during CNY and I'm pretty sure it's their job to make sure orders are placed accordingly. I am COMPLETELY disgusted by how irresponsible Marianne was. When I spoke to her on the phone, she wasn't apologetic at all. How they could leave someone hanging like that is beyond me. This is the second dress I have purchased at Hearts4You. I have nothing but great things to say about the service received by Nicole and the staff of Hearts4U. I had gone to many other places the first time around while shopping for a dress for myself as Mother of the Bride. After many other failed attempts to get a dress elsewhere, I was recommended to go to Hearts 4You from a co-worker. They made the entire experience so easy. The dress came in with plenty of time and they did not try to get me to pay more money for express needlessly like so many other places do. Despite a nice collection of evening wear, this shop gets only one star due to the manager & the seamstress. The staff was very nice and helpful so I purchased my Mother of the Bride dress there. During my fitting, as the seamstress was going to begin pinning my dress, the store manager come in the fitting room and said that she needed her to help a bridesmaid with her dress. The seamstress left the room and went to attend to the other customer, during my allotted appointment time. When she returned, she seemed rushed and quickly pinned the arms of my dress & marked the hem line. I think the whole appointment took less than 10 minutes. When I went to try my dress on after the alterations, once again, the seamstress was very rushed and un-attentive. I put my dress on and immediately felt that the arms were too tight. Additionally, the back of the dress was pulling away from my body so much so that a person's hand could fit in between my back and the dress. When I told the seamstress that I was unhappy with the way the dress fit, she told me that I needed to use double sided tape to keep the dress attached to my back. When I expressed my dismay with her answer, she said that I wouldn't be able to hug my guests if she altered the back to fit properly. (This was because she made the arms too tight!) Against my better judgement, I took the dress as it was and paid the $250 alteration fee. Once I got the dress home and tried it on again, I simply could not wear it as it was. I called the store and told them what had happened and that I felt the seamstress should fix the mistakes she made. The person I spoke to sounded annoyed that I called but she took my phone number and said that someone would get back to me. This was on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 and my daughter's wedding is August 19, 2023. After this conversation, I didn't feel confident that the owner was going to rectify this issue so I found another seamstress to fix my dress and good thing I did because after calling the store again on August 7, 2023 and leaving a message I still have not received a return call and today is August 9, 2023. So now I have to pay another $100 to the new seamstress to fix the "Hearts for You" seamstress' mistakes! My advice, stay away from this store! read more

I show up to my appointment and she still wanted to charge me $100 because I didn't want to try on wedding dresses (I had found my dress at another place an hour before) but my mom and my girls wanted to try on dresses for themselves. When I said this, her demeanor changed completely. I made the appointment and specifically told them I wanted an appointment not only for me, but for my bridesmaids and mom, as well. She assured me it was fine literally every phone call I got from them. They didn't accommodate us and didn't even try at all. Oh but she was quick to kick us out and charge $100. Don't even bother. I worked closely with Syd since last October and she has been amazing with helping me find the right dress right down to teaching my bridesmaids how to lace me up at one of my many fittings. After coming from a different salon and having a horrible experience I was quite upset and confused about what I wanted. I went to Hearts for You Bridal because my cousin got her wedding dress there years ago. She told me about the great experience she had, so I wanted to experience it firsthand. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by MaryAnn and the friendly staff. Cara helped me look at dresses and I told her all of the styles I did not like. She was so helpful finding different styles that I did like. Cara was honest, helpful, and very patient. After trying on a few dresses, I found the one I loved. Immediately, I had that bridal moment and knew it was my dress. After having this amazing experience, I went back weeks later with my bridesmaids and they all purchased their dresses there too! Today was my first day trying on wedding gowns and on the car ride there I was nervous/anxious/anticipating the first try on. When I walked into the bridal salon, I was greeted by Chrissy. She had a warm smile and eased me into the store. I told her what my vision was and she advised me to try on different styles to see what complemented my body shape. My group was looking to try on bridemaids dresses in this area, and while there are a bunch of places along Rt 9, pretty much all of them had bad reviews. This was the highest rated which is why we went here. The woman who took our reservation for a Sunday was very courteous so we were off to a good start. When we arrived for our appointment on the day of i had brought champagne for the group and asked if we could open it. The girl at the front desk gave me a very awkward response, said she thought it wasnt allowed, then asked another saleswoman who replied basically saying it was an odd request, shes never been asked this before, and no we cant even have the champagne anywhere near the dresses. ok got it. As we looked through the dresses the sales girl was mildly helpful but mostly just stood there quiet. There were other people trying on dresses near us also, and as we were winding down our appointment one of the other sales ladies was very pushy, kept bringing her mother of the bride over to our dressing rooms, yelling 'I HAVE A MOTHER HERE'. Ok lady - we are also paying customers. At one point one person in our group was sitting in a chair next to the dressing room, and this sales lady with her MOTHER proceeded to hang a bunch of dresses on the hook above my friends head, which resulted in them hanging in her face. Anyway - we ended up not buying our dresses from this place but did decide to go with the Bill Levkoff style so we all bought our dresses from different places that sold them. read more

Joanne G Wedding date was May 1, 2021 I recently bought my gown from Hearts for You Bridal shop and had it altered by Maria who is the resident seamstress. I specifically requested several times that I did not want the gown to be so long that it would touch the floor because I was afraid of tripping. Maria assured me that would not happen when I walked. When I tried the gown on in the store, she had me walk a few steps which was not an adequate way to determine if the gown was the right length. I had to trust the "professional" as I have only worn a gown one other time in my life. My son's wedding day was ruined for me because I could not take a step without having to hold up the gown to prevent the heel of my shoes from getting tangled in the material which was dragging on the floor. That said, Maria might have meant well thinking that the gown would look better longer. Unfortunately, I was also extremely disappointed when I picked up the gown a few days before the wedding and was given the "rhinestones" Maria purchased for me as per our agreement which I agreed to place on the bodice of my gown. The stones were not only the wrong size but the most horrible quality. I later saw them in Michaels for $1.00 which she expected me to place on a gown that ultimately cost me $1000 after alterations. Purchasing such cheap stones can not be justified. I expressed dissatisfaction with the stones she purchased but rather than argue, I left the store and bought Swarovski crystals which I then placed on my gown. Ultimately, the whole experience was not satisfying for me but rather upsetting and disappointing. For safety sake, I forewarn anyone who is having their gown hemmed to be sure it is the right length for you regardless of what you are advised! P.S. In every candid photo taken of me, I am holding up my gown which was most unflattering. read more

Where to begin! I have never seen such a poorly run business! They work off of paper and pen (get a computer system, lets hop into this century). So we went here to get our bridesmaid dresses. One of the girls in the party dress was too small and had to order extra fabric. When she called to order extra fabric for the dress the store could not locate the brides account. About an hour later they managed to located it and advised it would take 2 weeks. The fabric came in 2 days later. When we went to pick it up, it took the whole store 20 minutes to locate the receipt just to prove she paid, when they would not permit her to order the fabric without paying! Not to mention it came in shreds and costed $97 (see picture below for reference). So the ladies are holding the fabric hostage while we had people waiting for us in the car, even though we were already the rightful owners, just so they can confirm for themselves it was in fact paid for. Ladies - get it together!!!!!! How do you run a business like this! Not to mention while this is all going on, Joan Is screaming at the staff for not looking in the right place when Joan didn't know where in the world to locate the receipt either!!! I already had a bad taste in my mouth from when we went looking for the dresses. When the girls measured me they tried to make me order a size 18, the only problem is I zipped up a size 12 in the dress. When i explained this to them women the DID NOT BELIEVE ME. I also explained that I wore a size 8 wedding gown a week ago they looked me up and down and laughed. When I said I would go with the 16 instead but i would not buy a size 18 they paraded me around the store and asked every other employee if they thought I would fit into a size 16. Please note - size 18 and up is an extra charge. They also made me pay for extra length which I am currently getting hemmed. Perhaps to charge more in alterations? Not this gal. I would soon rather die than give then another penny. PS I paid for the dress in full when I ordered and and asked for a receipt. I was told there were no receipts available. I asked how will you know I paid in full, they said don't worry WELL WRITE IT DOWN IN OUR BOOK. Tg they were able to locate my paper the day I picked it up! read more

Highly recommended. Everybody was professional and nice. They made one of the most difficult decisions of my wedding feel stress free and exciting. Last year I walked in without an appointment and unsure of what dress I might like and not planning to purchase anything. A staff member still accommodated me and got to know my tastes very quickly.
