It looks like someone stuck a bunch of black olives on my fingers and I know they knew they looked bad, I wish they would've offered to redo them. I have never written a negative review before, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I went to Lush to get SNS for the first time 3 weeks ago. Today I went to get the nails taken off, and underneath the polish my thumb nail had started to grow fungus. This occurs when moisture gets trapped under the applied SNS. When I asked how this happened, they confirmed my nails hadn't started coming off to allow moisture entering (which can happen if you wait too long to get them taken off/replaced). They said it was likely due to my nail being properly cleaned prior to applying the SNS. The tech went to speak to another woman working about the issue, who explained what had happened and said I needed to put anti fungal medication on it. She said I could BUY it from them if I needed to. I asked if I could get it for free since they admitted that the fungus was caused by the improper application of the SNS. She said she would have to call her boss. After calling, I was informed they would NOT give me the anti fungal because it had been too long since I had gotten the SNS applied. (3 weeks is the recommended time to get SNS taken off.) They said I should have been able to see the problem sooner and come to them, but I couldn't see what was under the opaque nail color. They said all they would do is apply a drop of the medication while I was in the salon. In the end I paid the $50+ for the original SNS, $33 for the removal (which was not comped), and $30 for an anti fungal medication from CVS. If it doesn't resolve on its own I will have to pay to see a doctor to get a prescription. I understand mistakes happen, but the way management handled this was unacceptable. They never apologized and did not try to correct the problem in any way. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this nail salon. read more

Yesterday she came to Lush Nails as she was told it was a bit less expensive than the place she usually gets her nails from, so she could save some money. She asked very clearly how much the service she requested would cost up front and you guys told her $70. She did not ask for any additional services and when she went to pay you charged her $100. When she called me really upset, I told her to talk to the salon manager and express her concerns politely but the manager told her that is what her service cost. No one bothered to apologize for the misunderstanding or to partially refund her for the over charge. Your customer service is deplorable! This was my first tIme going to Lush Nails & Spa, and I would say it was on the pricier side, but overall it was a good experience. The employees were very kind and helpful. They helped me find the color is was looking for in gel and SNS, and offered me something to drink before they started working. I got SNS on my hands and a gel pedi. My total was $96 and had the potential to be more but I got a $5 discount since it was my first visit. In my opinion, this was a lot for the services I had. When I asked for a breakdown of everything I soon realized they charge for EVERYTHING. $5 to remove SNS, $5 to trim cuticle, $5 for a specialty shape. I got an almond shape which is under that specialty shape umbrella, but I was spared this charge due to it being my first time. read more

The pedicure was average (bit rushed), but fine. The sns was where I had issues. It got a bit busy, so nail tech was distracted. It resulted in half of my thumb not having sns on it. I asked him to fix it, (so he fixed this) but was told he didn't have time to fix all of it. Some nails are almond shaped and some are round. Revisited this spa recently. Wanted to love it , but I encountered the same old issue. The nail techs simultaneously doing my manicure (female) and pedicure (male) loudly yammered incessantly through the process. Hardly creates a spa-like feeling. They need to keep quiet unless asking a question or at least have a short, pleasant conversation and then get back to the job at hand (or foot). I wanted ombré SNS, they informed me of the upcharge before they started. Aside from this being the most subtle ombré I've ever gotten, they were attentive, asked if I liked everything they were doing along the way, and corrected anything I was picky about immediately. But the REAL reason I am even writing a review is because the girl who checked me in, without me knowing or asking, kept an eye on the clock and when they started cutting it close, she came up and worked on my other hand with my nail technician to assure I would leave on time. I had my nails done on Friday after work. I usually go on a Tuesday or Wednesday after work. But Friday this time was the only time that worked. They were pretty busy as I am sure they are every Friday after 5:00. Kim was finishing up a pedicure and tyler was finishing us a manicure. I was taken to my chair and just hit that massage button and had some water and just let it take me away. I was early and had to wait for Kim. She apologized and I was like I was early no need to apologize. She took care of me every bit as wonderful as she does on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Even tho the shop was busy she made me feel like I was the only one that counted. She is the best. David (the owner) even helped by taking my old polish off so when Tyler finished he could start right up on making my nails beautiful. Phenomenal service every time I come here. I went in today without a reservation for the first time in about a year and still had the same service. I usually go to Ethan, but he was booked for the night. However, I'm not disappointed at the service at all. Both technicians were nice and engaged in conversation with me most of the time until I dozed off so quickly. I brought my own polish (as I usually do) but it was a new polish and the technicians gave me so many compliments on the bottle and my color selection. I went to Lush under the presumption that I was going to get an amazing full set. I was rushed in, meanwhile I was Told that if I got there within 20min that I would be serviced. Luckily, I was serviced within 5min of me walking in. Thank God. Into my full set, I looked around and realized everyone around me was offered champagne or a bottle of water. I realized quickly that I was not. I refused to believe that it was racially motivated. Of course, I was the only African American woman amongst Caucasian women. My nails were rushed along and there was little conversation. However, again, that was okay because I was in a slight rush. The nail tech was rude to me and I couldn't fathom what it was I did to him to deserve this treatment. However, I loved my nails, even though they had to be repainted due to simple little messups. When my dads comes to Atlanta to visit. The first thing he wants to do is go see Kim for a pedi. She is the only person he will let touch him feet and hands. We absolutely love Kim! Meanwhile, Kimmie who I also love took care of me and I received a fabulous full set trying the dip powder for the first time and I'm in love. I can't believe I'm just now trying this! I came to this nail spa today to get a mani and pedi/ gel pedi and SNS manicure while in town for only 6 hours. The guy did not even know how to do the SNS right! I had to tell him 3 times to thin it out to make it look natural! He didn't use cuticles softener and nipped me multiple times to where my cuticles were bleeding! At the end he didnt put oil on my nails or wash my hands off. No lotion. He walked away and just said "don't touch". I had an AWFUL manicure here. My normal nail salon was closed today so I figured I'd give this a shot. I sat down next to the lady getting her nails done, and when she finished and left I was asked to move in to her spot where the same man would do my nails. He didn't change out the towel on the table, there were about 1 inch nail clippings STILL on the towel when he tried to soak my SNs. I had to ask him to get them off and instead of changing the towel, he just picked up the nasty nails left behind from the last lady.... Then I got a poor manicure job. My nails are crooked and he was so rude. When I told him what shape I wanted he said "no you do better with round." I'm like "no I want what I just asked you for please..." when the awful experience was over, he let me walk out with SNS all over my hands from when i soaked my first color off. I will definitely not be back, ever. I would like to know this kind of thing when looking for a nail salon to try out. read more

I'd love to write a great review of this place because my first experience here was awesome and nails were on point. But this time around is a totally different story. The day after receiving an acrylic set w/gel polish from them, my polish begins to chip off. The next day I go to get it fixed and it chips off again!!!!!!! I've had to revisit this place FOUR TIMES for four days straight (I live 45mins away from the shop)! To fix a chipped nail. During the last visit, I asked the technician if it was a good idea to continue filling my nails down after so many repairs because the acrylic started to look thin, he responded, "yeah yeah, it's fine" just brushing it off and trying to rush me out of the chair instead of taking his time to fix it (I'm also listening to him express how he's ready to go home for the day). So of course, my nail breaks...to the point where I'm bleeding!!! I haven't even had my nails done -properly!- for a week yet and my shit is bleeding and ruined!!!! I'm so over this place now!!! And what upsets me even more is that they don't take any accountability, the lady at the front desk told me that there was something wrong with my nails that's why the polish kept chipping....ARE YOU SERIOUS LADY?!?!
