I don't know what it is but when I get my nails done I feel like a whole new woman! I feel fancy, elegant, sexy and a sense of calm comes over me. All is well (seriously lol) I tried a few places when I first moved to Atlanta. When I found nail lab I found home. 5 star every time I go. Quality control, cleanliness, friendliness and professional. Unfortunately my workplace does not allow anything on the nails just an fyi my work does not involve contact with people. nor does it produce anything for human consumption or would affect anyone. So I slip in nude colors and sometimes gel extensions. I like to think of it as my workplace is keeping me on a nail budget lol read more

I had the worst experience at this salon. I came in asking for an acrylic or SNS set with traditional tips. Instead, they immediately tried to convince me to get GelX (press-on tips with gel). I clearly explained that I had tried GelX with them before and had a bad experience with lifting and falling off. The told me, "If they fall off, you can come back," but I explained I don't have time to return every few days and preferred acrylic or SNS. She confirmed they offered those services, but continued pressuring me to change the method, which was frustrating and uncomfortable. Before starting, she asked what shape I wanted, and I showed her a reference photo of a rounded shape. She then tried to upsell me on an additional manicure service, which I declined because I already had one scheduled for the next day. After that, she began the service but did not follow the shape I asked. I did say every time she asked it wasn't looking like what I wanted, the rounded shape, but she seemed irritated. At one point, she called a coworker, and they spoke in another language while looking at my nails and laughing. They then told me my natural nail shape would not work with the rounded shape I requested, which makes no sense, especially since I've had this exact shape before. It felt like an excuse because they didn't want to spend the extra time needed to do it properly. Additionally, she filed my finger so hard that caused it to bleed. The entire experience was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I left extremely disappointed and had to spend over an hour at home fixing the work myself. I would not recommend this!! read more

This is my second time here and neither missed! They are so professional and sweet! This time I had a little bit of a wait. (I didn't call ahead and book an apt) but they started my friend first and communicated very well on how long everything would take. It's so clean and they have a great variety of colors! LONG READ, but THOROUGH. Pros: Nice ambiance, most of the staff are friendly, consistent work about 80% of the time. Ivy: She is really sweet and efficient. Jack: He is also really kind and takes feedback well. Cons: There will be a Sergeant pacing around and laughing loudly throughout your appointment. If you disagree, even if respectfully, it's an issue even though you are the client and the nail color and designs are something YOU will have to wear. I've been a loyal customer of this business for about two years and have even introduced two good friends who now support it regularly as well. To give you an idea, a visit typically costs close to $200 if you're getting a medium set with designs and a classic pedicure, so it's definitely an investment. I used to travel an hour each way because the quality of the work was worth it. I originally started with Pin, but after he left, my best friend recommended Ivy. I've really enjoyed working with Ivy ever since. She's transparent about what designs she can or can't do, and she always considers whether a particular style will suit you. Because of her honesty and professionalism, I usually go with her suggestions, and I've never been disappointed. She also takes the time to check in during the process to make sure I'm happy with how things are turning out. Jack has done several of my pedicures, and he's equally wonderful--very considerate, with a great attitude and energy. If you decide to patronize this business, I highly recommend supporting Ivy or Jack. They're both excellent at what they do and genuinely care about the client experience. Below, you'll see the design I requested and the design I actually received. I chose this particular artist because she had done my friend's nails before, and I knew she was capable of great work. At first, I was optimistic, thinking the design would come together as she continued. Unfortunately, it never did. When she asked if I liked it, I was honest and told her it looked strange and didn't resemble the design I had shown. It was clear there was another client waiting, and I got the sense that fixing the design properly wasn't going to happen right then. Typically, the front desk attendant--who I call the "Sergeant" because of the consistent hands behind the back and pacing, --asks to see my nails and inquires about my experience before I leave. On this day, she didn't, and it felt intentional, as if she already knew something wasn't right.I still paid for the service and went out to my car. But the more I looked at my nails, the more I realized I couldn't just drive away without saying something. The quality and accuracy simply weren't there this time, and it felt important to speak up--not just for myself, but for the standard I know this business is capable of maintaining. I went back inside and respectfully approached the front desk--the "Sergeant"--and explained that I didn't feel the design I had received matched what I originally requested. I want to be clear: at no point did I disparage or negatively speak about the artist herself. My concern was simply about the outcome. If the design wasn't something she was confident in executing, I would've absolutely chosen something else--just as I've done in the past with Ivy, who has always been upfront about design limitations. The Sergeant responded that it looked the same to her. Finally, she stated that I could come back on another day to have it fixed. I appreciated that and agreed, then left calmly. However, by the time I arrived home, I received the attached text message declining me as a client. No client who consistently supports a business in a respectful and loyal manner should be treated the way I was--especially not simply for expressing that a design did not meet expectations. I didn't raise my voice, I didn't place blame. I communicated honestly and respectfully, as any client should be able to do. What I received was a design that clearly was not close to what I asked for, and I voiced my concern in hopes of a solution--not conflict. As someone who has not only been a regular client but has also brought in others to support this business, I expected the same level of professionalism and respect in return. It was disappointing to be made to feel as though I had done something wrong by speaking up, especially when I've always approached every interaction with courtesy and appreciation for the work being done Just beware that if you dare disagree with a service that you pay for, you may be terminated as a client. read more

Nail Lab Buckhead is a cute nail salon inside the MAA, Buckhead apartment complex. The design is minimal with lots of natural light good playlist and fun colors to pick from. The colour selection isn't huge, however, the shades are popular colors. They have a vegan nail polish that you can pick from for an additional three dollars. I didn't know nail polish Wasn't vegan until I went into the salon. I went with a friend to get our nails done before the upcoming trip I have, we got seated pretty soon after her appointment, and my nail tech started before my friends arrived. Immediately, my nail tech was filing my nails and she cut my big toe and I immediately flinched and the nail tech noticed but carried on. I didn't want to make a big deal out of it because I was with my friend and I didn't see any immediate blood. The rest of my pedicure and my friend's went smooth, our nail techs were polite, fast and detail oriented. The cut on my toe hurts a little bit, but nothing I would think the nail salon should be dinged on as it was an honest mistake. I'd like to try them again, but this time I might just warn them about filing my nails as I keep my toenails a little shorter to begin with anyways. They do take appointments and I was willing to come back or wait but 2 techs happened to be ready right away. This was around 12:30 on a Wednesday. First time getting dip nails and while they feel thick and bulky I think I'll get used to them. Fyi they do not do acrylics (I saw that on their website). Overall a good, speedy visit. Cost me $110 with tip for regular polish basic pedicure and dip nail manicure with chrome. !! UPDATE !! Nearly 30 days later and my dip polish was grown out but not cracked or peeling. I went to the Nail Lab in Buckhead for a gel mani and pedi and had a good experience. The salon is aesthetically pleasing, and clean, with talented technicians. My appointment was scheduled for 10 am on a Wednesday but in true ATL fashion, I was running behind due to traffic. I called the salon and they reminded me of the 15 minute grace period but assured me that they would accommodate. I arrived at 10:30 and was immediately sat in the pedicure chair. I asked for a French manicure with a design and Anna delivered. My one critique would be that I wasn't offered a beverage like all of the other customers were - but Im assuming that since I was late that was the least of their concern. So happy! I booked my very first appointment last night for this morning. I love how easy it was to book on their website, and the fact that in addition to prices, it gives you time estimates for the services. After putting in my $30 deposit yesterday, I received a confirmation text, and then received a separate text today about parking details, an hour before my appointment ("Hi there, this is The Nail Lab. Once you are here, please follow the parking instructions, PAY for 2 hours first then we can validate for you once you get to the salon. If you have any questions, please ask us pre-service. We located at the MAA Buckhead, right next to the leasing office. We also have more detailed instructions on our instagram page"). When I arrived, I opened the doors to a clean space and a smiling face at the front desk. I showed her my inspo pic and she was very informative and helpful in helping me choose what was right for me. I ended up doing the Gel X manicure (rather than the powder dip + tips), which I am very happy with. I also did a regular in & out pedicure. After choosing my pedicure color, I was immediately brought to a pedicure chair, where they did my mani/pedi simultaneously. For reference, I came in at 11 AM and finished a little before 1 PM. As soon as I was seated, Kay offered me a drink and made sure I was comfortable. She found my mani colors for me, based on my reference pic, and mixed colors to perfection. As Kay worked on my mani, Cindy worked on my pedi. They both did amazing jobs! They are so kind, so careful, so detailed, and are absolute artists. I didn't catch her name, but the awesome girl at the front desk even took a pic of my nails for their page's Instagram story. It felt very special to be included. I will definitely be back! I recently was in Georgia for my birthday and I needed my nails done and couldn't get them done before my trip so I found this place after doing research and was happy because they resemble places I go in California. Loved the atmosphere and location, made an appointment after midnight and it was accepted pretty fast. My nail tech was lovely. The only problem is that not even a few days later one of my nails chipped. The nail tech told me if I hit my hand or whatever that they are more likely to break but I didn't hit my nail on anything. I don't even know how it chipped after I was careful with my movements. My total was $105 for gel x removal and dip powder. I got back to California and ended up cutting and filing all my nails bc they started lifting and snagging my hair. I still give it 4 stars. Will probably just get gel x like I usually do if I'm ever in Georgia again. read more

I do not recommend visiting this salon. My trip to Nail Lab was unsuccessful. I specifically said I was looking for an sns color that looks like OPI bubble bath nail polish with that milky pink neutral. When I expressed that I was not satisfied with the opaque baby pink, I was essentially told I was wrong. I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but one of my nails crumbled off 2 days later. I had one natural nail break IN the salon. And I said that I was going out of town for 2 weeks so I wanted to do whatever would last - repair, or tip. I even said we could cut all of the rest of the nails down to match if they didn't think repair or tip would last for 2 weeks. The tech assured me they could repair it in a way that would definitely last for my 2 week trip. It crumbled off 2 days later - I didn't hit it on anything - it just fell. I got my toes done as well. It was below expectations as they left some visibly dead skin on the side of a big toenail. I asked about it and they didn't fix it. I've never had another nail place leave this. All the pictures they post are beautiful but I didn't see anything like that when I was at the salon. I have a suspicion that what they post is not anywhere close to what they normally provide. This was a complete waste of money - I had to find a place to get them completely redone while I was out of town. I wanted to call and ask for a refund but 1. I was out of the country 2. Their response to me not agreeing it was the color I asked for was significantly less than kind - so I didn't expect success At the salon where I got my nails redone, I explained what I wanted the exact same way, but the actually listened and gave me what I wanted and expected. (My fave) collagen hand mask that is 1000% better than the nail oil salons give -gel-x: covers the whole nail, starts as pliable, but then cures to a hard shape). -new set every time you come and soak off is not extra $ for gel-x. -cat eye and gel application, and I love how gel-x isn't heavy or thick like acrylic. -last up to one month!! Pedicure Process: 1.baking soda pedicure 2.soak in baking soda and exfoliate 3.great cuticle care and nail trimming 4.gel application on toes (3 coats color, and top coat) 5.he they followed with feel scrub, massage, lotion, hot towel -6.lotion again, and then last hot towel price was about 130$ for gel-x (apres manicure) and gel pedicure WITH package (not included. I had SUCH a great experience at Nail Lab!! I came with 2 of my friends, and we had absolutely no wait. We were greeted with friendly staff, and were able to sit next to each other. The vibe is great, the music wasn't too loud, and the place is spacious with really tall ceilings which I like. The service was quick, relaxing, and high quality. We had a great experience with Cindy! Organic pedicure which was worth the upcharge - scrub, mask, keratin booties, all of it. Great manicure - she actually did a beautiful job with cuticles which most places rush or cut. Love that they offered us a beverage - those little touches make a big difference! And really enjoyed the massage pedicure chairs - much more comfortable than regular chairs. We arrived early for our appointments and were grateful they were able to take us. The place located inside a salon loft and the space is minimal and cozy. Summer and B has been great to me and Everytime I requested a really hard design; they'll always accommodate me with a smile.
