I went with my sister for a pedicure and she got a manicure. They were able to get us in right away, which was nice. They also put my sister at a little manicure table that was right near my pedicure chair so we could chat, which we appreciated. I can't remember the last time I went to get a pedicure and it was not possible to get something to drink. I had just finished up my water bottle so I was counting on that but nothing was available. They handed me the nail colors and I picked one out. The woman who gave me the pedicure was very pushy about trying to get me to get the most expensive package. I picked the second tier package, which was supposed to come with a nine minute foot massage as they specifically stated the time. My foot massage lasted just over five minutes total. It was supposed to be $55, but when I went to pay, I was charged $70 and when I asked why it was that much they told me it was a $15 up charge for gel. They didn't even give me any other option. I live in San Diego and I get pedicures every month and this is more expensive than the pedicures I get there. I would not return to this place. read more

I made an appointment for a manicure + pedicure at a specific time at Lush Nail Bar in Colony Square. I arrived on time. The manicure was not started for almost 15 minutes. One reason is that the first five colors I chose were unavailable. The technician was so-so and the manicure was rushed. The quality was substandard, the worst manicure/pedicure I've had in 25 years (I'm not exaggerating). The nail buffer she used was falling apart, so obviously not clean. The pedicure did not start for 30 minutes after the manicure was finished. I had to ask for the water to be put in the soaking basin. The technician was young and appeared inexperienced, but nice. She was not going to clip the nails, which obviously needed clipping. She was also a bit rough. The polish was thick and gunky and she kept adding it to smooth it out, but it just got worse. Ultimately, I asked her to remove the polish, so I left with a substandard manicure and pedicure and no polish on my toes. The pedicure care was cluttered and the technician got up at least five times to get something she needed. The manager apologized a couple times and gave me a discount, even though I said I didn't want one because I didn't want to be perceived as gaming for a discount. The environment was not welcoming and not particularly clean and organized. I repeat, this was the worst manicure/pedicure I've had in 25 years. read more

This salon is either a hit or miss due to the lack of experience in nail technicians. My final straw was the disrespect and lack of professionalism. When I expressed my concern about my broken and uneven nails, Bobby and the owner responded rudely. While searching for a color, Bobby abruptly walked up to his desk, yelled across the room, and instructed me to sit down. He made it clear that picking a color wasn't an option. Bobby's behavior was rude and disrespectful. While slinging my hands around in anger, he rushed the entire process and told me he wasn't doing a design. You've lost a loyal customer, and you're wondering why your business is failing. To compensate for the lack of business, you're forced to overcharge. read more

first n foremost id like to mention i'venever had an issue with this particular location before until today , only service i would receive was a pedicure at most! however, today i just wanted to switch things up and treat myself with a manicure which i rarely do. i was greeted by a caucasian lady at the front desk and told her my service which was a manicure but i asked if they provide builder gel and she replied " if there is someone here to do it " which im going to assume no theres no one to do it so i settled for the SNS service. i am finally seated by the lady in the picture thats going to do my service, i ask if she knows how to do builder she says yes and says the service is 65$ cool. however, i noticed she doesn't seem in the best mood, energy is low just doesn't seem like she wants to be there i attempt to uplift the mood trying to hold a conversation but shes very dismissive so i just give up. she gets straight to it but i notice shes not cleaning under my nails and you can see the dirt and grime under my nail but proceeds to apply the builder gel on a dirty nail just rushing her service and it does not look appealing just pure laziness. so im asking all these questions, my last straw was when i asked if she was going to at-least file them i want them square she proceeds to say shes going to file them round because my natural nail is short and it looks better that way which is not what i want. i appreciate the suggestion but absolutely not. i politely ask can you remove the overlay you just applied i dont want to proceed with the service anymore mind you we were literally 5mins into the service so i didn't wait a long time to speak up she literally huffs n puffs show signs shes annoyed whatever removes the over lay then she goes and calls over the receptionist who greeted me at first annoyingly " she doesn't want anything anymore" the receptionist shrugs her shoulders and just looks at me? implying what do you want me to do which is very unprofessional and rude and uncalled for which wasn't necessary at all. they both inform me after the fact its extra for a manicure that builder gel service doesn't include the manicure service which is ridiculous, its not about the money i just find it odd how a nail place does a service on a nail that isn't properly cleaned. whoever manages this nail salon needs to take serious action how their employees operate because this is unacceptable and im concerned they're maybe inconsistent application of lush nail bar service and id also like clarification how these kinds of decisions are being handled if this is happening to me this can happen to anyone who maybe afraid to speak up. this cannot continue no more. proceed at your own risk. read more

I started going to Lush mainly for convenience since it's close by, but the experiences there have been declining in quality. The last two times I went, the salon feels less clean, and the techs do not open a new pack of sanitized equipment in front of you. Today, the tech for my manicure wiped a buffing tool on a dirty towel, then pulled a new head from an open basket instead of a clean sealed pack. When painting, instead of using nail polish remover on a brush to wipe away spillover, he used his long thumbnail (gross) and the finished product was sloppy. I wish I had looked closer before I tipped him. I won't be back! read more

OUCH OUCH OUCH!!!!!! Came in to get my SNS nails removed, and I have never been more dissatisfied with nail service (and I have had a variety of nail services over the course of the last decade. I know how it should feel). Rather than buff gently with the electric file and then let them sit in acetone to let them gently come off over the course of fifteen minutes, she came in STRONG with the electric file, put them in acetone for maybe a minute, and then rinsed and repeated the cycle three times. This took off several layers of my natural nails with the SNS, and it HURT! Then I kindly requested that she cut my natural nails short and clean up my cuticles (it was time to let them breathe after a few months of acrylics). She cut my brittle nails SQUARE, and not nearly short enough. She cut me several times with the cuticle nippers and made me bleed. When washing my hands after she was done, I accidentally ripped one of the corners on the nails. The entire reason I went to a salon to get them off was to get them short enough that they could heal from square one and not break in the process. All the while, she shamed me OUT LOUD for my dry hands and cuticles. I was in and out in TWENTY MINUTES and left with natural nails that look like.... well.... see for yourself. To add insult to (literal) injury, the experience cost me $27, plus the $3 tip. I've NEVER tipped under $5 for nails in my life. I couldn't bring myself to tip zero, but considering I had to fix them myself in the car, I wish I had, because that's what this experience was actually worth. read more
