Many moons later their shala aka yoga studio moved from South Beach to the Wynwood neighborhood which is a unique neighborhood with many art galleries, heaps of graffiti murals, and an amazing vegan restaurant aka Love Life Cafe. I studied primarily Mysore style Ashtanga aka self-practice with Joseph Armstrong and also with Silvana. Along with more Yin and Restorative classes Yin with Wanda and Restorative with Dennis. All the teachers here are excellent, knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. One room for improvement is during one Mysore class someone was texting throughout the class which was annoying. The studio should be a place to unplug from your phone. The studio offers remote zoom and in person both yet students in class shouldn't be texting on their phones if something is so important than they shouldn't be in class and handle that outside. I have spent many years abroad in India doing intense yoga studies and also here in North America yet feel that Miami Life Center is one of the best places to learn the transformative practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga on our tiny planet.
