I stay at city creek when I come up to salt lake and its usually the best. Some 20 year old store manager Alex, was the most unprofessional worker I have ever met. If headquarters knew about him he would be fired instantly. Talking about employees infront of customers and other customers as they walk in. So judgemental so rude. As far as the products themselves go, Lush is 5 stars and then some, but I'm always so pleased (and surprised, though I shouldn't be) to experience their excellent customer service. My sister and I stopped by this location recently, and she could not stop raving about their jelly bombs. One of the employees overheard our conversation, and offered to do a demonstration. I demurred, stating there was no need to waste one, but she kindly insisted. Not only that, but when I've sampled products and experienced other demonstrations in the past, it is always because the associates are so genuinely passionate - not pushy, simply wishing to share something they truly adore. As a company, they support causes near to my heart (animal welfare, the environment, human rights), and I love that they offer their Charity Pot lotion at all times, benefitting an ever-changing group or foundation. They have a recycling program for their products that come in black plastic, and after you return a certain amount, you receive a complimentary item. As far as what you can specifically find here, they sell natural (but effective) bath and body products, starting years ago at the forefront of the trend with their amazing bath bombs, but now offering a ridiculous variety: shampoo, conditioner, hemp hair color, perfume (including solid-yas!), gorgeous soaps, deodorant, face washes, masks, lip scrubs and balms (the orange chocolate is straight heaven), even perfect-for-travel toothpaste tabs! Prices are reasonable given the product quality and care put into sourcing superior all-natural ingredients, but of course with that in mind expect to pay more than you would for their more conventional counterparts. This location is a particularly nice one as some of their stores can feel cramped, and while still on the small side, the space is more open. This is a great spot to find a gift, but really, just treat yourself to a couple goodies. You deserve it. read more

Lush. Is. My. Favorite. You don't know until you've tried it. I love their huge variety of hair and skin products. My hair especially adores literally almost any of the shampoos. Beyond the fact that you're using natural things on your body when you use their products instead of chemicals, there are two other things I love about Lush: 1) Talk to their employees - they are a wealth of knowledge and are great for asking opinions. You know you and they know their products, so when you put both heads together, you're gonna get good results. 2) They have an incredible return/exchange policy/practice. Full refund with receipt for 31 days. No receipt? They'll exchange it. They want you to be love their products and to be happy with the results you're getting because it's your body and hair. Underrated product that I recommend because I think people don't think of this at Lush: the mascara. A vegan product, one of the few mascaras I've ever used that I feel like does more than JUST put color on my lashes, and it's affordable! The City Creek ship is tiny but mighty. I LOVE LUSH! This is our first Lush in Utah and I am so happy it is here. Lush has the best lotions, potions and other great body products. Try a fresh face mask that has so much fruit and veggies in it- it has to be kept refrigerated. The staff is knowledgebale and you can try most everything out before commiting to a buy. I have never had a bad experience at Lush before tonight, but one of the employees at the SLC location really rubbed me the wrong way. I wasn't dressed up or anything since I just left the gym, so I went in to quickly buy $50 worth of things, and on my way out, I grabbed two pots of samples that were by the door. After I was done grabbing the two that I wanted, one of the employees kind of held her hand up to me and said, "If you could only take a couple, please. Thank you." Girl, I was done. I wasn't about to dump the whole container of samples into my bag. I kind of felt a bit profiled, honestly, because of how I looked, even though I'm a business owner myself. Very disappointing. Went into the shop and the girl that came up to help me was too over zealous for me. When I shop I like to be left alone and this chic refused to let me be lol. She asked me a million questions about myself and when I tried to distance myself from her she followed me around the store. Either she was really serious about her customer service or she thought I was a shoplifter, lol. I make it a point to not carry bags with me when I shop to avoid that type of thing, so I dunno. I felt awkward with her following me and asking non stop questions. Dangerously awesome. There are very nice employees here and their products can't be beat! Their shampoo bars actually saved my life. My 4 year old is autistic and hates having his hair washed. Every day for 4 years, bathtime was a screaming nightmare. We tried using a solid shampoo bar and BAM - happy kid, happy Mom. It must be the texture. I am so happy though. And bonus - the shampoo bars make my son's naturally curly hair even curlier, and for some reason it brings out the red highlights in his hair too. Awesome! I love their bathbombs. They smell delicious. You can use them to perfume your sock drawer and your car too. I also really like their soap. It lasts FOREVER and lingers on your skin for hours. My favorites are Rock Star and Figs and Leaves (I never thought I'd like Figs and Leaves but it smells incredible. It's an exfoliating soap too.) Seriously. Go here. Tell them Kris sent you. Finally I went to a Lush store. Lush never intrigues me because they always overstaff employees and they treat their employees pretty badly. Also there is a lot of controversial about their ethnic and product's ingredients. Since a hippie friend was looking for vegan friendly and all natural shampoo, I followed her to the store. I can why people love this store. I felt like Charlie The Unicorn Goes to Candy Mountain. My nose was hit by many DELICIOUS smells! And every products are made or decorated with vibrant colors. Holy crap! Candy Mountain does exist! Anyways, the employees were really nice and helped my friend to find her shampoo. But DAMN! $30 something dollars for a claimed-to-be-vegan-all-natural shampoo? Even if it is vegan organic shampoo, I will still not pay $30 for it. Forget about Lush! Next time, I am taking my friend to a local shop that actually has organic vegan products that do not contains parabens and parfums. Also it will be 1/3 of Lush's price. read more

I love lush, and for the most part I love the employees at this location. But I had an unfortunate interaction with the manager (his name is Jonathan, I believe) the other day. He came running in from outside the store to reprimand me for smelling the face masks, stating something along the lines of "those are for paying customers to buy, so don't mess with them" and then proceeded to walk away before I could say anything. Luckily for him I purchased both of the face masks I was holding and "messing with". If it weren't for the other wonderful employees at this location I would probably never come back. read more

Lush makes me feel like a lush. I spend 30 dollars on face wash that makes my skin literally glow. I spend SO MUCH MONEY on things to put BUBBLES IN MY BATH AND make my WATER SMELL GOOD and look PURPLE. Why do I do this? Because Lush makes natural products that are wonderful and non-irritating. They're eco-friendly and they can turn regular bath water into glittery magical galaxies. Are you totes ready to go out and buy some? But this particular store is awesome. I have been using Ultrabland face cleanser for about a year now, but I was conflicted on if I should be using a moisturizer with it. I explained to the associate my dilemma and she gave me a few samples of different moisturizers to try. If it wasn't for these associates and their extensive knowledge of how their products work on different skin types, I would be struggling with trying to find a good product to clear up my skin. I only deduct this one star because sometimes their associates are a little pushy. I've never seen them NOT interested in helping a customer, and they sometimes hover and latch on to you at the first sign of confusion. It has helped me a lot in the past, but sometimes I just need to go in and restock and I already know what I need, so having a shadow is not needed. We love Lush! We met a super sales associate who helped us with this magical cream for son's eczema. Her child has it, too, and shared how it worked for them. She gave us a free sample (which lasted a long time!). We were so impressed with the product (yes! It works!) and we've been buying it ever since. My daughter gave me several products from there and I was thrilled! Yes, the products are a bit pricey, but they are of excellent quality, long lasting, and NEVER tested on animals. read more

I'm in love with trying new products but rarely find an entire line that I'm thrilled with but Lush has made me a believer in their line in only a few weeks! I've been waiting a pretty long time for a Lush to come to Utah, and now it's finally arrived. Unfortunately, the only location right now is in City Creek (another one is opening at Fashion Place, I believe), so you will have to deal with a very tiny, cramped store. Because it's right near the east side entrance of City Creek, it does have lots of foot traffic. That being said, I think the staff does a pretty decent job of still giving great customer service and giving awesome recommendations. The main reason I love Lush is that they have pretty decent hair stuff. I love the hair masks and the conditioners, and especially their dry shampoo. The last bottle of dry shampoo (the powder variety, not the spray) I purchased was the Oscar Blandi one from Sephora, and for 2.5 oz, it was $19 (plus tax), and the one I got from here was $12 for around 4 oz, and I completely love this one more. It smells awesome, actually most of the products from Lush smell nice (except the herb-y ones), and it works very well with my hair. The prices are comparable (maybe less) than stuff you'd get at the salon, but the quality is on par. Anyways, I would say you should check out Lush, but I really would like the traffic to die down, so I won't. read more

I have extremely sensitive skin so he provided me with samples of some products to test them out to see if they worked for me and recommended the products he thought would be the most soothing for my sensitive skin and also threw in a treat for me, which I realized was also catered to sensitive skin! First of all they are not so great at having things in stock. Second their employees are more than often rude and could care less about customers. I buy lush products often and every time I come to this location it's a bad experience. Plus we came to the doors before 9 which is their closing time and they were locked. We asked if we could come in because we needed one thing and knew exactly what we needed. They refused. Even though they still had many customers in the store just walking around not ready to pay. i love this store but some workers are awful and i will most likely nit go back to this lsuh. the signs saying try me were confusing because i dont go to lush that often and wanted to see so i tried the sample very lightly and this old worker yelled at my friend and i that this is not a toy store and literally pulled us in a corner and said dont ever do that again very very rudely. this was a sales associate who was supposed to be nice and tell us kindly and we wouldve gotten it. and then he proceeded to say that i was a rude person because i did this. never ever coming back. lush, do everyone a favor and not hire the worst people possible for the job. read more
