I don't think these people have any clue what is going on. My daughter is a competitive dancer and wanted a spray tan. (Side note, she's had a million of them before at European Tan, but this one is closer to us). We went in a few months ago and they said she had to be 13 (she was just a couple of days away) but the girl was super sweet and we understood. Fast forward a few months and we go back. The girl working (brianna) says "does she have an id?" I said no, she's 13. She said "oh is that the age she can do a spray tan? I'd have to check...what about a school ID?" I said "well a school ID wouldn't have her age, and the girl last time said she could tan when she turned 13". She said "you need to bring her BIRTH CERTIFICATE..."To get a spray tan? Are you kidding me? Also the fact that she wasn't even sure what age she needed to be and said she had to check with her manager but then never did.... There was a line behind us and my daughter was already embarrassed so we left. We've had no problems at European Tan or Sun Center. I would go there instead! read more

I recently signed up here at this location on 7/11/23. I first called the day before and spoke to Stella over the phone. She was friendly and knowledgeable. The next day when I came in I was able to tour with her and sign up. Stella was even more pleasant in person. I am very impressed by the customer service here with the staff and their knowledge of the best plan for each individual person. I would absolutely recommend becoming a client here. read more

I had some membership points from "Perfect Tan" that was transferred to this place. I didn't have a lot of points left, but enough to go into a ruva bed a couple of times. The women at the front desk told me that they didn't have the same kind of beds there. I would have to use my points for $20 off of one of their packages. Or I could go in a "silver" bed telling me I could only do 7 minutes even though the full time was 15 min. then 9 minutes next time...I had been tanning on a regular basis but they wouldn't let me go for the full time. I went into the bed which looked like the oldest bed I've ever seen. Needless to say, when I left I had no color. Later that evening, the only color that showed was from the bronzer that I used in the bed. I decided not to waste my time to go back. I rarely submit reviews to places, but I have to say that this was the worst tanning place I've ever been to. It looks more run down in real life than the pictures indicate. The staff was condescending and rude. my old tanning place that sold them my points did so in good faith thinking that they were going to take good care of their customers. When in fact, they just tried to sell me a huge package before I even had a chance to try one of their beds. They also criticized another place I was considering going to. This business is Unethical, it also has nasty rooms with dirty walls. There were No wipes or deodorant available either. I got a coupon for a free week of tanning and figured I'd cash in and this was by far some of the best customer service I've ever received! The lady working offered to give me a tour and rather than making me wait until the lower grade bed opened up (which was what the coupon covered), she upgraded me to the next bed up. The place itself was very clean and the equipment seemed nice and taken care of. I'd recommend this place to anyone and everyone that was interested in a tan/spray tan! What is the deal with rude people at this location? I had not been in a year, but had paid $65 every mos anyway because they would not pause my account unless I was in person. DURING COVID! So needless to say I paid for nothing and no mercy. But this isn't even why I am writing the review!!! I asked the male clerk what bed he suggests since I had not been in awhile, he suggested the bed and told me I only get 8 minutes, I requested full 12 of 15min and said I would just jump out sooner if I felt burning. He got SOOO irritated and lied by saying "sorry I can't let you do that, if you are going to jump out anyway then I can only set it for 8min!!". He said it was POLICY and there is noooo such policy and I am far from fair skinned. I have tanned for 28 years. IT GETS WAY WORSE folks. After I left I realized that I lost my wallet and remember this same guy (again really snotty tone) told me to give him my ID, because he was so rude about that too. So I knew I had probably left it at the salon because I had not been anywhere else but in my car. Nobody was there but him now, but there was a girl with him when I had tanned. Also there were no customers waiting....not yet anyway (foreshadowing)...so I frantically let him know I may have left my wallet, he was like "haven'tseen it!" Really snotty I might add. He didn't even offer to go look, I had to ask him...wth??? I literally think something is very off about his temper quite frankly. So he went and looked because I asked and came back and said "sorry not there, write down ur # and we'll call ya!"....so I went and looked myself, it was like he had something against me for asking for the full time prior...and there were no other suggestions like pulling the camera footage, or calling the girl that was there but now gone. So he literally made me ask question after question, who cleaned my bed? He says her first name and stares at me. Okaaaay, Q. Did she maybe she find it and forgot to mention it? Nope Q.Okaaay....do you have a lost and found? A. Yeah but it got cleared out weeks ago Q. Did you look today? Yeah its empty. Last Question (at this point I can't even believe I had to as this) Can you text the girl who cleaned my bed to find out if she put it someplace safe? JUST THEN a customer walks in and he starts helping him...I was absolutely STUNNED! Frantically worried about my wallet and everything in it, I interrupt with "can you text the girl first?" ANSWER: NO MA'AM I have a customer I need to help. I thought to myself "what the f#$! am I??? The guy had just walked in and surely could have waited 30 seconds for him to ship off a text! Customer gets assigned a bed and I am sitting there with ZERO updates on whether he has text her or heard from her for like 5 min. Keep in mind it is totally dead, no customers. So I called my husband to see if any charges had been put through because I was literally just sitting there and he was just standing there tight lipped. Finally, he says sorry nothing. Just had the weirdest and worst customer service experience ever. I walked into the tanning salon wanting to get a membership the girl just put a book on the table... Didn't even really talk to me about the different tanning beds. When I asked to see the beds she looked at me like I was weird nd then explained with most of the beds you have to go every day to get a tan. The weirdest part of it all is that she did not know about your promotions for the $15 off. I literally had to bring up my phone to your page and show her. COMPLETELY DISSAPOINTED. I felt like I was the one trying to sell me a tan!! Like I apologize that you had to get off your phone for five minutes to help me I definitely left disappointed. Front desk girl/ trainer there is just rude and condescending. The prices are ideal if you just need it once in awhile for the vitamins and a good base tan. But it's not worth it due to the costumer service. I came in, because I needed to either pause my account or cancel it because I'll be out of country until the fall. There was a blonde girl that was asking the questions and then there was her Trainer "Mads" who started off talking to me like a I was stupid and slow. The times that I came in, in the past I typically look older and more professional (usually when I get off work) today I was dressed down. Mads had that bitchy attitude from the beginning. I came in in the perfect happy mood, but Mads unprofessionalism and how she continually was so rude, of course my response back was the same exact tone she gave me. Everything would have been fine, if she just simple just changed her attitude after that, but Her "apology" was "oh, sorry. She's training, so I just wanted to make it clear." First off, the blonde girl did way better at explaining everything, then Mads did and second I didn't take it personally until I realized how much of idiot Mags is and how she easily blamed it on her Trainee for her own attitude. Maybe it was the way I was dressed or because she knew I was considering on canceling my membership. Either way, hire a better trainer, maybe your front desk people won't get so many negative reviews. And sadly, Lovely Mads still was a total bitchy. Heard her mumbled something to her trainee when I was still a Palm Beach Tan costumer, of course I don't know exactly what she said, but she had the vibe of a high school prissy bully. After my last tan, I did have one last question about pausing accounts. She still said everything so condescending. So I asked her name and here we are. For people who really appreciate good consumer service, European tanning Salon on Foothill is great. More pricey, but I learned my lesson, It's worth the extra price. Haven't been there for over a year, but I for sure don't recommend this place if they still have employees like Mads.. Lastly, I don't ever review things or have negative experiences to the point of leaving a review about it. But wow, this was annoying and wish I read the past reviews of how bad the employees are, apparently this isn't new. read more

Not a regular tanner, but I do tan from time to time to get a base for vacation. Came in here today and was pleased with how clean the place was. They have a variety of tanning beds to meet your needs and the staff member I worked with was very knowledgeable. I will be going back this week! read more

This place is incredibly unprofessional and unlthical. They have a practice to cheat customers by not letting them use the machines full time if they haven't been in for two weeks. This is just a con job to save electricity and wear and tear on the machines while \the customer pays full price! I went in to get a tan this morning. The assistant manager would not let me go the first time saying it would damage my skin as I hadn't been in for a few weeks. I'm out in the sun all summer and currently have a tan that is fading. I have gone full time before after not being in for a few weeks and they allowed me to use the full time - it did not damage my skin. Look at all their negative reviews! Avoid this place. I highly recommend Golden Tan at 3142 South Highland Dr ., SLC. Their facility is new, they have better beds and charge less. There is also a lot of available front entrance parking. I haven't had one bad experience here. All the girls have always treated me great. They have done really well on keeping things clean and upkeep with the COVID19 virus. They even gave me a gift card onto my account for sticking with them while they was closed. I was able to buy a 100.00 thing of tanning lotion for 5.00. I will continue my membership here for sure. I have a monthly membership at this tanning salon. I've been coming to this location for years, prior to Palm Beach buying the previous owner out. I have never come to Palm Beach and not had a wait. It doesn't matter if there's one person in front me or 3+, I can never get a "quick tan" experience. I don't think it's the fault of the girls working the front desk. They provide excellent service, answering lots of questions and selling memberships. The problem is there's usually only one there, or a second one that's also busy for extended periods of time. The beds are nice, but prepare to be there for at least 45 minutes. read more

I've been casually spray tanning at palm beach tan for about 6 months now and have loved it! The last time I went in I asked about bed tanning to get a little more info on it and how dangerous it was for my skin. Ellen (if I remember correctly) was working at the time and was SO kind and helpful. I could tell she knew what she was talking about. Some girls in the past haven't been as helpful/ kind so it was very refreshing to actually talk to someone about the service they're providing me! Palm Beach is AMAAAZING!!! I was just treated horribly for the second time at Waikiki Beach tanning salon just for inquiring about a month pass for me and my husband! I'm so so ecstatic it happened though-because of it me and my husband ended up buying 2 month long Platinum passes at Palm Beach! Talk about STATE-OF-THE-ART EVERYTHING!!! Not only is the salon extremely clean and super fancy but the customer service is TOP NOTCH! The girls are the friendliest, sweetest, most helpful tanning salon girls ever! They have the most unique hi-tech tanning beds too! They gave us a better deal than the tanning salon that was so rude to us earlier that day was gonna give us! READ BEFORE YOU MAKE THE MISTAKE I DID! This place ripped me off and I caught them!!! Tried swiping my card 2 times without my consent or permission. I caught the cashier Ellie before she did it the second time. I immediately demanded a refund and I refused to sign for authorization. She refused to refund my money and told me management could not be contacted. She finally contacted management after multiple requests and told me they her manager could not refund my money either. It's obvious they are doing this to other people too. I work for an organization with 18,000 offices across the US each office has 2 to 10 employees and I know all 18,000 team members know how to refund a simple charge on their system. This is not rocket science unless you were blatantly trying to rip somebody off. I'm very happy I caught her before she charge my card the second time. WORST experience I've ever had. I was so excited to have a palm beach FINALLY close to my house and I had a come a few times earlier this year with no problem at all. My boyfriend has a membership here and loves it and I was considering getting one myself. I came in the Saturday before the 4th of July and was kind of in a hurry and I'll admit not the happiest mood, just wanted to get in and get out. One of the ladies who helped me was so freaking rude it was honestly shocking! She slammed the clipboard down in front of me, flailing her hands in the air and was making the most noticeable facial expressions and had a god awful condescending tone. On my way back to the bed I could literally here them calling me a bitch. I can honestly say I've never been more uncomfortable in my whole life AND I work in customer service!!! The girl working next to her looked so uncomfortable I'm not sure who I felt more bad for, her or me. If you're gonna work in a customer service environment you better be ready to take on any type of customer that walks through that door and leave your attitude at home. I'm really bummed and won't be coming back and my boyfriend will most likely be taking his business elsewhere. read more
