First and foremost, Ivan and Roman are not only amazing at what they do, they are just amazing, polite, professional, honest and genuinely great human beings!! After researching top detail shops in the Chicagoland area, I took my brand new obsidian (metallic) black Tesla Model 3 Performance to LUSTR Detail. There are several reasons that led me to choosing LUSTR Detail. Now, bare with me for a few minutes, this is going to be a bit long, but if you're looking for the absolute best in results, experience, a company with two genuinely good people, and all kinds of knowledge to educate you on proper care of your newly immaculate vehicle, if you want that information, this is well worth it. I researched elite level detail shops in the Chicagoland area for about a month, I live in Chicago, but was willing to travel a bit for top results. I ended up visiting 1 other shop to understand their services and pricing (I may have been persuaded by a fancy YouTube channel haha). This visit included receiving a printout of pricing for the services that I was looking to have completed, but I ultimately decided on LUSTR Detail for several reasons. After receiving the runaround from the other detail shop and being told that they couldn't get my car in for 6 weeks, I immediately called LUSTR Detail and left a voicemail, as the paint protection film (PPF) was the priority for me to have put on my car to minimize the possibility of chips from everyday driving. I received a call back from Ivan within a few hours, so I find it very difficult to understand a separate review claiming that they never received a callback. Ivan didn't just ask what I wanted to have done, he actually explained, in great detail, the different services, products and brands that had anything to do with the services and products for which I was interested in. Ivan even recommended cheaper products and levels of detail/paint correction, not because I had a lower budget, or even gave any type of rebuttal or questioned pricing, but because they run a refreshingly honest and fair business, which is more and more difficult to find these days. Ivan gave me frequent updates on how the process was going on my vehicle and was incredibly personal and professional in every aspect. The most impressive thing for me was that Ivan made a huge effort to get my car in ASAP to get it wrapped and protected since it was new to try and minimize any chips from happening. This was just an example of the bigger picture of care and consideration that LUSTR Detail takes in their service. I choose to have whatever paint correction Ivan found needed throughout the initial cleaning and polishing, which ended up being very minimal, Suntek PPF, 22PLE Ceramic coating on top of the PPF, full wheels off ceramic coating including the brake calipers, and window tinting. Upon arrival, I chatted with Roman for probably about a half hour before Ivan got in, then I proceeded to chat with both of them for probably another 30 minutes, and the tint person, who was also incredibly polite and easy to talk to. Before Ivan arrived, Roman walked me around and showed me different parts of PPF wrap on other vehicles that require certain types of application for longevity and explained other manufacturers paint and what kinds of problems each presents and how they deal with each. After Roman arrived, he also talked to me about other vehicles, showed me the front end PPF application on another black Tesla Model 3 that was in the shop, walked me around and put the flashlight on a few different spots of the other Model 3. Showing me a few paint imperfections and what caused them. I was floored at the extent of Ivan and Roman's knowledge and detail. Throughout the process Ivan updated me how everything was going and an estimate on when my car would be finished. Ivan asked me if I was planning to clean and take care of the car myself after they were finished with it, and being that I said yes, he emailed me an extremely detailed list of products they recommend and use, and worked with me to narrow the list down to what I would truthfully need to take care of my car given the services and products put on my car. When I picked up my car, l was stunned at how good it looked. This was a brand new car, which I ordered to spec and picked up within a few days of arrival and it was cleaned and prepared for me upon delivery, but the finish it had on it after LUSTR Detail (Ivan and Roman) performed their magic on it was mind blowing! The paint looked like a mirror and the precision of the images reflected by my paint is incredible. My rims and calipers are unthinkably clean and look like they are wet. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience and better results. Thank you again Ivan and Roman for making my car look absolutely amazing and protecting it. I recently bought a Slate Grey metallic 1989 Porsche 911 with 105,000 miles on it. Pretty good condition for a car of this age / mileage, but the paint was dull overall, and was loaded with swirl marks. It also had some deeper scuffs in the paint, and a few chips. I found LUSTR online, and saw a car magazine that ranked them in the top 9 for car detailers nationwide. I used them once before, to test out their services, on another car I had - a newer car and a simple detail. However, it gave me enough confidence to trust them with my new (old) baby! Well, he had the 911 for about 2 days and performed a 3 step polish (I think), and I got the car back in AMAZING condition. I'm one of those anally retentive guys that picks at every imperfection. The chips are obviously still there, and a couple of the deepest scratches (that went deeper than the clearcoat), but everything else looks like it could be brand new. The exterior of the car just went from looking 22 years old to looking 2 years old (and freshly waxed). Getting this level of paint restoration isn't cheap, but actually LUSTR is pretty reasonable, maybe even on the more affordable side, compared to other shops with the same services. I would say a routine / light polish is in line with other shops, but the full recondition, I feel like I got a very good deal. I spent about $550 on the 911. Oh, and that included the Leatherique treatment for the interior. Similar results to the outside... floormats went from old to new, leather went from really old and grungy, to looking clean but worn. So, I couldn't be happier - my expectations were high but realistic, and they were at least matched, if not exceeded. The only thing that could have achieved better results would be a complete respray for 20 times the cost. I'm actually afraid to drive the car and get it dirty right now, happy just to stare at it. I heard Ivan just got a new shop in Hoffman Estates - I have used his services in Chicago, which is basically a detached garage in an alley behind a house. I am a huge car enthusiast. Love my cars and most anything car related. Needless to say I do not let just anyone work on my cars. With family, work, keeping up a home and numerous other every day commitments and responsibilities it is quite difficult to detail my vehicles the way I need to these days. Excellent results. Ivan and Roman took a car that I thought looked pretty good and made it look even better than I could have imagined. I've got a daily driver that lives outside parked on the street. There is a ton of information on their website but I'd advise setting up the pre-detail assessment. I had preconceived ideas on what I thought i needed, but we went over what I was I was trying to accomplish and they recommended options that were in my budget and would suit my purposes. The most important thing is they never tried to up sell me on anything and I never felt obligated or pressured to purchase or to upgrade my service. We ended up doing the Long-term protection detail which included the new Optimum Gloss-Coat. The final result was and is simply amazing. For the level of craftsmanship they exhibit in their art of detailing, they are very down to earth. I feel like they treated my car and I and with a high level or respect. I never felt second fiddle to the the McLarens, Ferraris, and Aston Martins and their owners that theses guys also work on. In doing research, their prices are very reasonable given the high quality of the finished product. You pay a premium and you get a premium service. I'd also like to point out that some of the other shops will have 4-5 guys pound out a car quickly, but it was nice to know that 1-2 guys who I trusted were taking care of my car. It's no secret: you buy an end-of-model-year car that they say is "new", and you know that the thing has sat in a lot somewhere for months, getting the occasional demo drive, and accumulating all manner of surface defects. Still, it's a bit of a sticker shock when the "paint correction" experts shine their spotlights on your brand new car, point out its defects, and quote you a full day's effort to make things really "like new". Lustrdetail is a two-man shop, nestled in a cluster of body and fender places in Western Schaumburg. Their style is an appealing combination of personally casual, and professionally precise. I initially contacted Ivan, but I worked entirely with Roman, who obviously enjoys Ivan's complete confidence. I chose a single pass polish, even though the car's horizontal surfaces could have benefited from a second pass. I figured: diminishing returns, the reality of Chicago weather--a 90% solution is fine, especially with today's nifty gloss coatings applied. Roman was very businesslike, pointed out the car's problems (including a wheel issue I hadn't noticed), and helpful. Even got me back to Woodfield so I could catch a bus to the Blue Line after dropping off the car. The result is a nice shiny car, one that should shed everyday grime for a couple of years, with only periodic washing required. Only downside is a newly acquired hyperawareness of dusty side panels, bumper scratches, and other peoples' not-so-clean cars. read more

After researching on the internet, I came across Lustr and met Ivan regarding my 2013 WRX. At that time my car had some heavy duty masking tape all over the front bumper which would not come off. Ivan was very helpful in every way possible and suggested ways in which I could get that off without damaging the paint. After reading more about Ivan's work I decided to get my car detailed from him since the Subaru paint was full of swirls in just one year of ownership. And I did not wanted to go to any "xyz detailing shop" where they just throw wax over the paint or polish it so badly that the car is left with holograms all over. Ivan was very prompt to respond to my emails, messages and calls and answered all my questions with great amount of details and interest. Ivan and Roman did a 1-stage correction on my Plasma Blue Pearl WRX and the results are excellent! The swirls are all removed (not hidden) and the car looks better than showroom. I got to learn from them that Subaru paint is very soft and difficult to work with. But they performed a fantastic job. Roman even touched up a few chips! I had a great experience with Lustr. Not only my car looks brilliant now but both Ivan and Roman spent a lot of time educating me on the correct techniques for washing and drying the car and how to care for it to keep it looking the way it's supposed to! read more

I found Lustr auto from my favorite detailing forum autopia.org. I have a bunch of experience detailing my own cars, just don't have the time to do it. I recently bought my car, a 2007 is350. The paint was in poor condition. The prior owner did not take care of it well. I wanted to find someone that was a true professional, and loved what they did. I had taken it to a other places and the only thing they did was create more buffer holograms. They then would proceed to hide them by using oily fillers, which made the car look great for a week. Once the oily fillers disappeared i would see the newly introduced marring :( This is what i did not want! Ivan seemed very honest and trust worthy. He assessed my car and made his recommendations. His recommendations were spot on. I explained to him that i did not want any fillers and he completely understood. The actual finished product The finished product was exactly what i wanted. there were no fillers used to correct the paint. I had no more swirl marks or holograms which is what i wanted. The car was smooth as glass with no more contaminates. I would recommend him to everyone. Don't go to places that will do a hack job on your car. They took my new (untouched by the dealer) Obsidian Blue Pearl 2015 Honda CR-V Touring Model, corrected a few dealer caused paint imperfections and swirls, perfectly applied (perceptible only to my touch) a full front paint protection film (Suntek clear bra), and finally applied a coating of OptiCoat to protect the entire car. The results are beautiful and PRICELESS! In my entire professional career I have rarely encountered men so dedicated to the achievement of perfection in the practice of their craft and discipline as Ivan and Roman. Additionally, they are quite adept at educating their customers and helping the customer understand what they (Ivan and Roman) already know. They help you understand how to protect and preserve your investment in your auto's exterior by talking with you rather than down to you. These guys seriously live up to all the hype. First of all leading up to my appointment Ivan's communication was impeccable. He knew cars very rarely make their "expected" delivery and made sure he provided me with different options for bringing the car in. Very accommodating knowing that I wanted the car prepped before daily driving. Now the actual work, it was flawless. Clear bra, ceramic coat, leather protection, and tinted windows. Edges wrapped for a seamless look. I have yet to have anyone tell me they even knew the clear bra is on. The ceramic coat makes the car glow even after rainfall. And most importantly the ceramic coating on the wheels makes break dust wipe right off with no effort. I have very light colored leather and despite wearing jeans all the time it still looks new after several months and wipes clean with just a damp towel. Ivan got the work done in pretty decent time based on the work completed. The best part is he checks in with me from time to time to see if any touch up work is needed. Despite this high level of service his pricing is also very reasonable. He really runs an honest business. Overall extremely satisfied with my purchase. read more

We took our car for interior and exterior detailing to LUSTR as our lease is coming to an end and we have our inspection coming up. They are the best is the least we could say! When I saw the car my first thought was why didn't we come to these guys sooner b/c the car looked brand new! They took out all the stains and in fact were also able to take out a pretty significant scratch on the front bumper. I've uploaded the before and after pictures for comparison. I was disappointed to see a review that said they do not return calls b/c Ivan was nothing but responsive to each and every email and between the two of us we exchanged 34 emails! Also, they were kind enough to accommodate our early morning availability for a free estimate and the pick-up/drop-off appointments. When checking out, Ivan was kind enough to knock $50 off our total just like that! We met Roman as well when we went to go pick our car and he was just as nice as Ivan! Great guys! Ivan Rajic is without a doubt the most talented paint correction specialist in the Chicagoland area. After some really strong recommendations from the Porsche guys on the Rennlist Forum, I took my black 2010 Porsche 911 4S Cabriolet to him last Fall for a full rear-end paint correction to have him match my freshly repainted front end. He made the original paint look literally brand new, cleaning up the tired paint and matching it perfectly with the new paint on the front end. Even more impressively, after I had some unfortunate lime/salt garage seepage onto my 911 while it was stored indoors for the Winter, Ivan was able to COMPLETELY restore the entire car with a full 3 days of paint correction and polishing of both the rear end as well as the Xpel-covered front end. He was even able to completely clean up the cabriolet top that was also badly impacted. I'll try to post a few "Before and After" pics if I can as this is the first time I've ever felt compelled to write a review for work on my car. Amazing work! Ivan did an amazing job on my 2001 Dodge Neon. The paint was in horrible shape even after a supposed quality "detailer" did a full exterior correction. Right after speaking with Ivan on the phone I felt that he knew what he was talking about. He didn't simply give me a price and try to set a date with me. Instead, he cared about what I had to say about the car, what I was concerned with and set up a pre detail inspection to look over the paint and recommend a service. Ivan then spent over half an hour with me during the inspection, pointing out all the damage that the previous "detailer" inflicted himself as well as defects that were there before but weren't fixed. Obviously, I scheduled asap and was more than pleased with a job. I still can't believe how clear and glossy the paint looks after a proper detail job. It also feels extremely smooth and slick. I am really happy with LUSTR detailing services...I had a long and very noticeable scratch on the top of my car caused by using a shovel to remove large amounts of snow that had collected there after one big winter storm. As I was removing the snow off my car, I had unintentionally gotten too close to the car's surface and accidentally caused a pretty bad scratch across the car top... I called LUSTR to help me out with this situation and was treated very kindly and respectfully. Once I got there, Ivan examined the extent of the damage and measured the paint thickness and went at it to fix the problem...after numerous runs over the affected area, I was extremely happy with the results and the once very noticeable scar that ran the width of my car was almost gone altogether.... Along with repair on my silver Nissan Altima, I asked him to detail my 2006 black SUV and it came out like brand-new off the assembly line! Before actually buying the Groupon deal, I searched Lustr Auo Detailing on the web. The good reviews convinced me to give it a try. My car is old, but in good shape and I'd like to keep it. Am I ever happy I went. Ivan did a great job. He even cleaned the engine. I don't think the car looked so good even when it was new! He did the tires and wheels. I keep the inside clean, but he touched that up too. The waiting room is comfortable; the people that work there are friendly. This is a great place. Ivan works as customers present him the opprtunity,so you need to call for an appointment. The shop is in a shopping "mall" in Hoffman Estates at the SW corner of Golf & Roselle. You wouldn't think this a typical location, but the shop has a large garage door in the rear, and the shop is very spacious. Bonus: Ivan works with two partner-owners of "Underground Autosports" at the same location. Underground does everything mechanical from the exotic restoration to the everyday type of maintenance. Without a doubt, Ivan is the best detailer I have worked with hands down. This is not only due to his outstanding detailing work on my cars, but also to his professionalism. He promptly responds to emails and is always patient in answering questions. This is, unfortunately, not common with some auto detailers. He uses great products and is not brand blind. One of the fantastic services that Ivan offers are the long term protection coatings including 22ple, CQuartz Finest, and Opticoat. I chose the CQF for my R8 and Opticoat for my wife's daily driver. Both coatings provide an almost unbelievable layer of protection that is amazingly long-lasting. The CQF has, IMO, more gloss and greater depth of shine but lasts about 2 years versus Opticoat which can, supposedly, last more than 5 years. These coatings are well worth the price, IMO especially for that special car. Highly recommended without any reservations. read more

I was referred to Ivan by my SA at Knauz BMW after ordering a 2018 M3 and deciding to due a full PPF wrap. While waiting 3+ months for my car to be built and delivered, I nagged Ivan with countless questions via email and text and he always provided timely, detailed responses. After having partial PPF installed on other cars, I've realized it's only as good as the installer, and Ivan is the best in my experience. He is extremely meticulous in the application of PPF and made several great suggestions for protecting some interior parts of the car (at no additional cost). In addition, since it's only a 2 man shop, Ivan is able to quote very competitive pricing compared to the larger detail shops that have more overhead. I took my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee here based on the reviews I read on this site. My Jeep is metallic blue with a tan leather interior. It's a nice combination, but over the years the tan interior had gotten pretty dingy, and was beyond my ability to get completely clean. I'd spoken to Ivan prior to bringing my Jeep here and got an idea of what they would be able to do and the cost. Well, let me say that when I went to pick up the Jeep, it looked great, and the interior looked like new! All the dirt and grime had been removed from the seats and the interior surfaces, the paint gleamed, and wheels shined like new money.I could not have been happier.
