We had our vehicle damaged in a collision where a speeding driver slammed into a standing car…read morepushing it into the front of ours. Good thing there was another car or ours would have taken far more damage. The shop service experience was pretty much straightforward, dropped off the car talked to the insurance companies and they worked everything out. There was a small issue with paperwork but that was insurance company related and quickly resolved. They didn't have a few parts in stock so we had to wait an extra few days for them to get everything repaired. Quality takes time and this job shows how they took time and used proper skill to restore our vehicle to mint condition. Can't speak for costs since it was all covered by the insurance. The estimates given to the insurance company didn't seem overpriced to me though, but that's coming from someone with no prior body shop encounters. And hopefully this will be our last. Car accidents suck. Thanks A&A for making the post accident recovery a bit easier for us.

I had a list of work to be done on my 1975 Buick Electra 225. Marin assured me his shop was…read morefamiliar with older cars. He pointed out an old Cadillac they worked on. When I picked up my car a couple weeks later, Marin said they weren't familiar with carburetors, just the opposite. He previously told me his mechanic came from Cuba and was an expert on these types of cars. I want to say Marin seems like a good guy, but he should've been honest with me. Also, work was done I didn't ask for. The valve covers and air cleaner were painted red. Even worse, the carburetor was taken apart and cleaned. He didn't ask me, and I specifically told him the carburetor was clean when I dropped off the car. Instead of changing the fuel filter, Eric (mechanic) cleaned it. Since he had taken everything apart he should have changed it, common sense. He also didn't change the thermostat. The metal housing of the thermostat was changed. Common sense is to then change the thermostat. Another issue I wanted fix is a choke issue. The car wouldn't slow down on a cold start after tapping the gas pedal. These cars need to rev high for at least a minute. This gets everything going. You then tap on the gas and the engine slows down. I told Marin it wasn't slowing down. Now the car starts up but doesn't rev high. It dies if you try to drive away. He apparently just disconnected the cold start screw on the carburetor to slow down the engine. Once the weather cools the car won't be able to start. I now need to take my car to another mechanic to correct this issue. I also need to find out why my car is leaking. I had him replace the valve cover gaskets. Hopefully that's not causing the leak. Finally, Marin never gave me a written estimate. I kept asking him for an estimate. Finally he verbally told me we were around $1,200. At the end he said the bill was $2,000. Unacceptable. He should have updated me every time more work was needed. Like I said before, he should've been honest and told me they weren't able to work on a classic car. Eric, the mechanic, is a good guy, but he obviously isn't qualified to work on a classic car. I'm really frustrated because I paid $1,900 cash and the car needs more work. The final invoice doesn't even detail the oil used and the valve cover gaskets I told him to use, as well as the antifreeze. Everything should've been itemized. The invoice also listed the car as a Regal instead of an Electra. Marin said his software didn't list my car

First time I went to get the car I left work 2 hours early and drove almost an hour to get there to find scratches on the new fender. They buffed them out and I went back the next day to pick. I'm not happy with it but after seeing that they chipped and dented the paint in the door and touched it up with dark grey paint and all the marring in the paint from improperly wiping down the car I decided to take it home and take care of this my self. Luckily i detail cars on the side so I took it before it could get any worse. They're parking lot is small so they park the cars close to each other. That's most likely where the dings and chips came from. The bumper was sticking out and I was missing a mud flap. When I asked about it, the guy said that's a special order. They rigged a clip to fit into the fender to hold the liner. It's literally threaded plastic they screwed in and cut the part sticking out. Big gaps and the bottom of the fender stick out. Probably not the best place to take your vehicle for body work. Also my fog light was working. Found it in the trunk with the damaged liner they swapped out.

My van was recently rear-ended. While not a serious accident, I was dreading the endless inconvenience that usually goes hand in hand with this. In the past I have taken my vehicles to Auto Collision Rebuilders (ACR) and been very satisfied with their work. However, this visit was exceptionally satisfying. Juan is extremely helpful in guiding customers through what to expect from ACR and educating them on how to work well with insurance companies and car rental businesses. And, I was thrilled when my vehicle was ready BEFORE the estimated completion date. I can honestly say that I am thankful for this accident as I was also able to meet Wrigley, the sweetest, gentlest bulldog on the planet who hangs out in the office area. Carlos is a straight shooter. This is the third time we have the privilege of having dealing with ACR. Each time we have left with valuable insights because of his generous nature. About five years ago our car got a dented panel. He replaced it and even had our car detailed. About 2 years ago. He gave us an honest opinion on whether it was worth fixing our 25 year old car. He could have charged us for what we wanted done but gave us an honest opinion on the risks and long term costs of repair. This past month we had an accident which required at least 3 panels and the windshield replaced. He advised us on the options and how they would we could protect its resale value. When we picked it up this past week, it was as good as new (and again it was detailed, inside and out). read more

You call for a day and then drop the car the night before or show up in the morning and check in. They verified the oil change and asked if I needed additional service. I asked them to take a look and let me know as I didn't think it did. The staff is really friendly and welcoming. The service was very affordable and the quality and care they put into their work is tremendous. When they called to inform me my car was ready, they validated that no other work needed to be done. But if I wanted to 30K service I could. I decided to pass and doing it next month. They didn't push the services and to call them for an appointment when ready. Lastly, the waiting room has very comfortable theater style seating and a small cafe bar. I'm going to bring all my cars here for future services. Thanks!

Have been going here for years and dropped off our son's new car to be looked over. Needed an oil…read morechange and some other work done. Picked up the car and did not get to far without it smoking. The oil cap was not put on leaving the oil to go all over the engine, exhaust pipes and drained on our driveway. We have been loyal customers here for many years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. We brought in our son's new car for a routine inspection, including an oil change and additional work. Shortly after picking up the vehicle, it began smoking. When my husband later opened the hood, oil splashed into his eye, which was extremely concerning and unsafe. He discovered the oil cap had not been replaced, causing oil to spray throughout the engine, onto the exhaust, and all over our driveway. When we contacted the shop, we were told that if the car was returned before noon, it would be inspected and we would receive a call. We never received that call. Because of this error, we were without a vehicle for two days and had to rearrange work and school schedules, including taking time off work. Ultimately, the only action taken was cleaning the oil spill and refilling the oil. There was no follow-up communication, no apology, and no offer of reimbursement or compensation for the inconvenience and disruption caused.
