Many issues from the very beginning. I was in contact with a sales rep about a car asking questions. after about a day of contact I finally decided to make the 100 mile drive to Hudson, WI to look at the car. I asked the sales person one last question, "Is there anything cosmetically wrong with the car", in which he responded, "nope looks good to me". The next day I told him I was on my way up to see it, he responded "see you soon". When I arrived I right away noticed a huge scratch on the hood, they insisted to tell me it happened the night before in a "keying incident". Told me they would comp it by either subtracting a whopping $500 off the price or fix it at one of their body shops (meaning another trip back/forth a few times in the area if I bought it to drop it off/pick it up.) I was actually ok with this, a little upset they didn't mention it before I drove up but oh well. What I was very upset with however, was 2 out of the 4 rims showed major signs of road rash, which was never mentioned either before I drove up. They were not willing to budge on the price at all for this issue (or a few other cosmetic issues, door dings minor paint chips etc...) and did not seem sympathetic about anything. I did eventually "almost" buy the car anyway despite these issues. Even the finance rep I was dealing with seemed like he didn't have the time or day to help me out. I eventually walked out in disgust over everything. There is more to this story but I don't feel the need to get into it, overall, everyone I dealt with there seemed VERY arrogant and I am very thankful I did not buy this car from there. read more

My Apple Airpod (headphone) was taken. I took our work truck in for an oil change about 2 weeks ago and I had my left airpod sitting on the center console where the charging pad is. I figured i would of been able to grab it after the oil change was done, but when the truck was picked up by my coworker he said it was no where to be found. I went into the dealership myself the next day and got kinda shooed away and nothing was done about it. I gave them my name and the company i worked for and havent heard anything back. read more

After multiple visits including a horrible sales person and receptionist, a token conversation with the GM and sales manager, being told at that point our business was important and to deal with the GM directly because his reps didn't deserve the commission based on their lack of professionalism, then being passed back off to the sales manager, and then the sales manager passing us off to a lazy salesperson who couldn't even call me, I had to stop in and ask again for the GM, who was out so we were given to the sales manager, who then gave us to the lazy salesperson who couldn't call us...to finally be able to talk numbers, where the sales rep went back to the sales manager, who at the very least should have been dealing with us at the point, where we were offered almost $3000 less then what we ended up receiving from another local dealership, to not be followed up with in a couple of days once we did leave the dealership saying we needed to think about it... At this point, likely needless to say, we purchased a brand new 2016 Chevy Traverse from another local dealership. How incredibly sad your dealership treats its customers like they are dumb and a dime a dozen. We felt appreciated and respected from the moment we walked in to Stillwater Motors until we left a week later with our brand new car. We HIGHLY recommend Stillwater Motors! read more

Terrible!!!!! We bought a "Certified Used" 2013 Eqinox from Luther Hudson about two years ago. In the last year we have replaced brakes (which they said were fine), a new battery (again they said was new when we bought it), a canister perg cylinoid (obviously wrong spelling) and now the transfer case and u-joint. They tried to tell me that they do a report on it and have to fix everything that is wrong. That is a bunch of B.S. too. Our mechanic found an issue with the vehicle during our 5 day test drive and they did fix it. Our mechanic found out that they have 18 canister perg cylinoids in stock meaning that there is an apparent problem with this part but they will not cover it. We wanted to just trade this lemon in. They will only give us $6000 for a Equinox purchased there almost 2 years ago that we paid over $17,000 for and owe $11,000 on it. All they did was say: yep, cars are a bad investment and if we would have went to their overpriced, untrustworthy mechanics our transfer case maybe would be covered. They use our independent mechanic by the way who is a "master" mechanic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will NEVER EVER go to Luther again for a vehicle. I would rather buy a beater that does not depreciate over $10,000 in two years!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! read more

Brought it my car because of a GM recall. The issues I had were apparently not apart of the recall, but because it was towed I just had them fix it at the insane rate of $118/hour. Their charged time was over twice what other dealers quoted, besides the extreme hourly rate. In the end they damaged my radio and will not be going back. read more

Truck was towed to there shop. They called me and told me what happened to it. When I received the service invoice, it stated something totally different happening. I feel I paid for parts that there was nothing wrong with that they changed, trying to diagnose what was wrong with my truck. I feel they don't look out for the customers best interest. UPDATE changed from 2 to 5 stars After I voiced my concerns to the dealership they re-installed my old parts that were in question and refunded me the cost of of the service. I brought my car into have diagnostics ran because the car had a new PCM put in but the car was still shifting hard. Had the shop I had the car at type up a report of what they had done to the vehicle and what codes the car had given when it stalled on the side of the road. Dropped it of on Thursday at 9:00 in the morning did not hear from anyone till I called at after 5:00 pm, told me they weren't finished with it and I would have to keep the rental car an extra day and pay for the rental car. Called me the next morning not until almost 10:00 am, told me that they reprogrammed the PCM and it should be all set to go. Driving home from work on Saturday the car starts to stall again but was able to get it to work to get back to the dealership. Spoke to a manager because the service department closes early on Saturday. Had to use a rental car, they were nice enough to cover the cost till Monday. Looked at it on Monday the MAF sensor was showing that it wasn't pulling enough air and that could confuse the computer, had them replace it. Drove it all week seemed to be good. Drove to work on Easter sunday and had the car do the same stalling again. Was able to get to work but trying to come to slow down for a yellow turn arrow my power brakes stopped working and the car started to over rev the engine and get to almost 4,000 r.p.m. before I shut the car off. I spent almost $1,000 dollars here and had to trade my car in and buy a new car because I did not feel safe driving the other vehicle. I wouldn't take my car here again if it was the last service place on earth!!!! read more

This location does not perform multipoint service inspections for vehicles that come in for a repair. These guys are great at cutting corners and doing a sub-par job. I brought my vehicle in for a recall and then found out they didn't even bother to perform a full inspection because I wasn't worth their time. I think they would have done an inspection if i was driving a nicer cadillac but I wasn't worth their time since I wasn't rich by their standards. If you want to be treated like dirt due to your income status and if you want a half-ass job done, this is the place. Sad establishment, should probably be shut down. There are many other dealerships nearby that know how to run a business, avoid this place at all costs. read more

Purchased a 3 yr old used vehicle 4 years ago from Luther Hudson which was supposedly the general manager's mother's car in which was supposedly in top notch condition; she just wanted an upgrade, right?? The car has been running great, but I developed a rust bubble on the back hatch. When I took it in to another gmc certified dealer to fix, I found out the car had been in an accident and that the back had been filled in and painted. I was furious that Luther had lied to be about the car's history. How convenient for them to fix things under the radar and get a great price for the vehicle. Buyers beware!!!! read more

Took my mom in there to purchase a new vehicle. As soon as we got there we were greeted by a great guy, Ernie, whom is a salesman (Of course a salesman is gonna kiss your butt), although I think he was geniune. He made the purchasing process fun and easy. He gave my mom a nice tour of the place as well. The finance guy was funny and made that whole process easy as well. If you are going to break down on a cross country trip, you want to be near the people of Luther Hudson Chevrolet when you do. After being stranded early Sunday morning, I had a tow truck take my vehicle to the closest GM dealership, which was Luther Chevrolet. I was there when they opened up first thing Monday morning and explained my situation. Although they had a full schedule, they managed to get the vehicle in and diagnosed by 9:30 AM. I was convinced it was an expensive alternator problem but their tests showed simply a bad cell on the battery. They put in a new battery and ran all the tests again and assured me that I didn't need the much more expensive repair I thought I needed. By 11 AM Monday morning, I was back on the highway for the last 850 miles of my trip with a washed and running car. Thank you Luther Chevy for the rescue!!!! read more

Had 3 repairs done (all dealing with oil leaks). Had one of them done multiple times with the same issue, both times I was told the problem was fixed. Well, it happened again right before my family is supposed to take the car on a road trip (3 days from now). So I call Hudson Chevrolet and explain the issue, thinking they would do whatever it took to get my car in and fixed before our trip, you know, since they failed to fix a problem with the vehicle multiple times. The lady who answered the phone in the service department was very rude on the phone and told me the earliest they could get my car in was 6 days from the day I called. I explained that the issue with my car is the same issue I've dealt with twice just recently that wasn't fixed correctly and we have a trip and really need the car taken care of in the next day or two. She said they couldn't look at the car for 6 days. I asked if there was any way they could get me in a loaner vehicle so we could at least still make our trip and she said they don't have any loaners. After hanging up the phone I promptly made a call to Stillwater Motors Chevrolet in Stillwater, MN... Just 7 miles away. Told them the exact same issues I told Hudson Chevrolet, but this time I was greeted with kindness on the phone and even though they too were booked they told me they would get it fixed in time for my trip and do whatever necessary to make it right. Not only did they fix the car correctly, and quickly they found that two other issues with the car that I just had Hudson Chevrolet fix under warranty were not fixed properly either. Bottom line, I will never return to Hudson Chevrolet. Horrible customer service. And clearly horrible technicians. If the manager at Hudson Chev wants to get on here and call me a liar like he's done to other people who have written one of the many negative reviews about this place, don't waste your time doing that, just let me know and I'll gladly drive over and discuss these issues face to face. read more
