They are always completely transparent about what's wrong, what they are replacing and fixing, how much it will be and if there are any delays. I've never once felt like they charge me for unneeded work. They are always nice, and happy when I come in and work with me if something is very expensive. Do not Support this Place. I don't know what country in Europe this Lauren guy is from, but it's apparently totally acceptable to cures out customers. Sure, I would love to be able to flip out on random customers because they annoy me, but that doesn't mean I should. I called around town asking shops if they had plenty of time to work on my truck. It broke down 40 mins from where I live, and I need it for work. This shop say SURE, LOTSA time to work on your truck. When its NOT DONE in 2 days, I called a total of 3 times and the owner gets on the phone and curses me out for simply asking about my truck that was supposed to be done in 2 hours not 2 days. Basically they are TOO much about making money, that they lied to customers to get them in, don't do what they say and actually SWEAR at customers. Forget this place! If I wasn't so Minnesotan and trying to figure out WHERE this guy was coming from I would have laid him out for talking to me like that. Best auto shop in Hastings. I brought my Mercedes to AA Auto Technicians and they diagnosed it at no cost. They discovered the problem was in the key that I needed to have replaced at the Mercedes dealership. Some auto shops would have "found another problem" but I am glad to know that there are still good auto shops like AA Auto Technicians. read more

A couple years ago I got off work, only to find my car battery was stone cold dead when I tried to start it. I did a quick Google search, called AA Auto Technicians first. They showed up in 5-6 minutes (the place was about 1/2 mile away), gave me a jump, I had my card and checkbook out. He (I believe it was Loren) said "Nope. Don't bother," and left. A couple minutes later, he circled back through the parking lot, concerned because I was still sitting there, and explained to him I was just letting a charge build before I turned the lights on and drove off. At that time, I did not know what caused the drain....bad alternator, etc. I remembered this service, thought I'd pay it back. So today, I went there to see if my muffler could be welded back on. It was a clean, circular corrosion around a swivel joint in the pipe. The parts either side were still fine. It was finished in about 30 minutes for $35. Will it last? Hopefully, but other businesses may have gouged me for brand new parts on a car with under 80,000 miles on it. This part in the exhaust was not under warranty. The lady at the counter was very friendly, as was the little Spaniel dog. Loren came out, serious look, said something like "I don't know what you keep running over, but there's even bike pedal dents in your muffler." He had me going for a second, but ended in a good laugh. I appreciated his humor and character. I'm sorry for those that had a bad experience, but I will be back until I find a reason not to. read more

The fuel pump on my 01 Passat went out near Hastings and I just selected a garage that had positive reviews with the limited amount of research I could do while waiting for the tow truck. Brought it there and was almost a week for them to fix. Then when I go to pick it up, CEL is on. I ask them to check it out and they just clear it and send me on my way. After the light kept coming on I brought it to another garage and it turns out the seal between the fuel pump and the tank was installed extremely poorly to where there essentially was no seal. So there's a $90 extra on top of the original repair. I recommend other garages. read more

Had them change the oil and the entire inside was covered in grease. Brought it back and they had a young girl take a rag after it. Couple years later the door handle needed fixing and with a couple days the door fell apart. Took it back, he offered me to bring it back to fix it and give me a car wash. Again his fingers were all greasy. Said this stuff happens and didn't have the two minutes to talk to me. Seems to me they are trying to get as many cars as they can through in a day. Will not go back again read more

My mom brought her car into this shop and he had it for a month. We got it back and had it for week before we had to bring it back for the same problem that he said he fixed. We brought it back it and he had it for another month and said it that he wouldn't fixs the problem. He said he took the engine out and Fix's the heads but that was all a lie. Everything he said he did on the car wasn't done. I know this because my boyfriends father who has been working on cars and used to work for Chevy looked at it and said it wasn't not done. He lied and doesn't do his job my mom ended up buying a new car because he was taking way to long. At one time this was a really good shop but now it sucks. My family have been going to him since before I born that's over 18yrs. He flipped out on my grandma when she had her car their. My boyfriend also has a friend that works their and he said the car was never in the shop he never looked at it or anything and on the night I was suppose to pick up the car after I got off work the doors where frozen shut and the keys where not in the cat like he said they where and he said the car was in the shop that day and I don't believe it. He sucks at his job and lies constantly and didn't even look at my car definitely will not be returning. I will take my car and money to my boyfriends father like we should of done in the first place. This place doesn't even deserve 1star read more

Daniel Dawson's Google review is exactly the experience my son had. I don't even want to give it one star but it's mandatory to write a review. To keep it as short as possible, read Daniel's review. But in short, my son brought his car in to have a transmission estimate. This car is valued at $1200. He left with the words, "estimate with phone call for approved work." After repeatedly calling for 3 weeks, he told it wasn't looked at yet. Then he finally gets a call stating it was ready for pickup. They replaced the entire transmission for a $3000 bill! Three times the car value!! My son asked him why this was done, without a phone call for approval. The owner was literally screaming and swearing at him, (in front of other customers), threatening to have his car towed if it wasn't off the lot that day!! I asked my son to take him to court but he just wants to leave any dealings with that "business" behind him. Unbelievable!! I can't believe this place is still open with all of the similar stories I'm hearing. (Ok, it wasn't so short of an explanation. Sorry!) read more
