I verified that this car falls into that category. Sales rep said yes. My dad also verified and got the same answer. So I didn't think much of it. Our experience with this dealership was frustrating and disappointing from start to finish. We came in ready to purchase and had two vehicles in mind from the website. The salesman greeted us warmly, but it quickly became clear his only goal was to get us behind a desk and push the sale through. After choosing a vehicle, he gave us a "bottom line" figure that supposedly included tax, title, fees, and license. I told him I was interested but at a slightly lower price ($750 less) and also asked about a strange attachment on the key fob. His response was dismissive. First, he insisted the price was non-negotiable because of "company policy." Second, he explained the attachment was for aftermarket seat heaters but admitted he didn't know if they even worked--then added that even if they didn't, Walser wouldn't fix them. That level of indifference toward a customer asking a basic question was astonishing. At that point, we asked to speak to a manager. The New Car Manager came over and, after hearing what had happened, brought in the General Manager. To his credit, the General Manager (Bret J.) listened, reassigned us to a different salesman, and arranged to have the car inspected, cleaned, and outfitted with new floor mats. He also promised two complimentary oil changes and tire rotations, though there's been zero follow-up, so we have no idea if that was genuine or just words to calm the situation. Unfortunately, the issues didn't stop there. During the signing process, we discovered that the first salesman had left out the documentation fee from his so-called "bottom line." When I pointed out the discrepancy, the second salesman simply said the fee was mandatory and there was nothing he could do. In other words, the number we were quoted and based our decision on was misleading from the start. At that point, after hours invested, we reluctantly went through with the purchase. The dealership's failures didn't end at the sale. We were told we would receive a follow-up call the next day to check in--no one ever called. Even worse, it has now been 36 days since we purchased the vehicle and we still have not received our license plates. When I called the dealership, I wasn't offered help or even basic courtesy--I was told flatly to "call the DMV." That's their idea of customer service. In the end, this dealership showed us that while they are eager to sell, they are unwilling to stand behind their promises or take care of their customers once the paperwork is signed. The General Manager made an effort to salvage the experience, but it wasn't enough to outweigh the dishonesty, dismissiveness, and lack of follow-through that defined our time at Walser Polar Mazda. just now NEW We recently bought a used vehicle from Walser Mazda in White Bear and has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. We purchased a used vehicle from them with full warranty after turning in our Mazda lease. The truck we picked out was actually a salesman that worked their - his used vehicle. They did a full inspection on it and let us know things needed to be fixed before we picked it up- we said ok and asked MULTIPLE times for a copy of what was fixed - and we got nothing. Having such great previous Mazda service we were not super worried so we took the truck. (Handed us the keys with the tank on E, and the service guy upset he had to stay late to fix it, but we left anyways) Within the first week the check Engine light went on, and again we asked for the inspection- never was sent. We let our sales person know about the engine and she said call service with no assistance. We got the truck in and come to find out the whole DPF system burnt out due to a crack in the injector (which you can clearly see from under the truck). They told us we will not cover it or your warranty and it'll be 6k. Even though that is something that should be covered. I called the warranty company and they said I didn't purchase the best warranty- even though I was only offered 1 option - that was "bumper to bumper" I even asked if anything internally goes wrong would it be covered? Sales woman said yes EVERYTHING. Immediately we discussed how this should be covered as we've had the truck under 1k miles and we have a full warranty. They finally gave me a used car after I had to call MULTIPLE TIMES to the sales manager to take care of this. The GM Bret Juedes let me know this should be covered and it will be taken care of- my truck is now been sitting there for 2 weeks with no answers to calls and texts or voicemails. I've now reached out to corporate and I am waiting to hear back. The sales manager Jim also laughed multiple times on the phone at me when I was discussing the truck as if I was a woman who knew nothing about trucks- as I was watching the video their service team sent me about what was wrong. Clearly showing what had happened . DO NOT EVER BUY USED CARS FROM THEM!! They will sell you a lemon and make it all on you. And honestly if you want good customer service - find somewhere else. I received a early morning phone call on my landline, then I got an email at the same time, a few minutes later my cell phone rang with their phone number on the caller ID. I did not give them my cell phone number as it is a unlisted and published number. This is how telemarketers operate and not what I would expect from a business such as this .They must of bought my cell number like a telemarketer does.This feels like a huge invasion of privacy and I will never do business with these people after this. They went above and beyond for me, I originally brought my car to a local car shop and they could not fix the car correctly, I was charged $1,000+ they got my car to start and run but my push start needed a key, so we brought it here and they went out of their way to get the original module the other shop replaced to see if it was even necessary, which it wouldn't work so, we found out its a computer, it was killing both my model and battery all three parts would have needed to have been replaced regardless and we appreciate that they went out of their way to let us know. read more

Forget about a high-pressure sales environment where they try to take you for all you're worth because they're on commission; this was a no-commission, no-pressure experience during which Steve helped guide us through the process and select our exact car. Steve was professional, knowledgeable, and awesome throughout the process, and we could not be happier with our "new" (certified pre-owned...new to us!) CX-5. I brought my 2020 CX-9 for it 2nd free maintenance check. Oil change, tire rotation, check and fill fluids. Only took 2hrs 20min. Really! also, ever since They installed a trailer hitch, the hatch has not been opening fully. Brought it back to them 3 times and they still have no idea what causes it. I've showed them video's of the hatch not opening correctly and still no idea what's happening. just let us know if it still happening.. No follow up. When the lease is up they can have this car back. I dont want it!! read more

I came here to get some maintenance done on my car and I had a great experience. When I arrived I was greeted by a friendly associate and while my car was being worked on I was shown to a very clean and comfortable waiting area. The area had a large TV and free popcorn, Oreo's, granola bars, hot coco/coffee, and ice cold water bottles. While waiting for my car to get done, I noticed that it seemed as if the building was newly renovated or built and there was a lot of open space. The maintenance was completed in a timely fashion and they gave me recommendations as to how I can avoid the need for future maintenance. I had been going to them for routine oil changes, and work on my 2004 Mazda 6. One day they said it was hard to see what was going on, could they clean my engine cover? I say of course they can. THEY SHORTED OUT 4 OF MY CYLINDERS. Then, of course, they had "no idea what happened, it wasn't out fault." They could fix it for 7K though. Jerks. I drove it around the block, came back, told them exactly what they'd done, and of course Mr. 'I assume women don't know nothin about cars' says "You can't tell how many cylinders are good just by listening." I said, "If there were fewer than two left, it probably wouldn't run at all, Sparky." I limped it home, took it to Tires Plus and paid A LOT LESS getting my cyls put in. I used to love the service at polar Mazda. I got a brand new car with them when I was a grad student. When I got the car there was a problem that the monitor of my car was restarting all the time. I brought the car in and they stayed with the car for weeks to tell me the problem was the GPS card I bought so they recommended not to use the GPS card anymore. At that time, as someone who was new to the country and was in the middle of a PhD, I did not have enough mental bandwidth to focus on this problem and time passed. Now that I am established on my career I called them to discuss that course of action towards my car saying they should have tested a new card on my car to see if the problem was my card, or if the problem was that my system was not able to accept a GPS card and was defective. On that case I could have exchanged that system under warranty at that time. I know this points out a flaw on their approach to fix my car in the past as they just proposed the most simple solution that was don't use the card. I called to see if there was anything that could be done. I could NOT believe the level of intolerance and disrespect I received from Matt the general manager and a tech. First when I tried to talk to the tech he kept saying over and over it has been 5 years! It has been 5 years! And I said can I speak? And he said bluntly NO!. I said what is your name? He said I don't need to tell you. I called back to talk to the manager Matt. He said I am sure he didn't mean it like this and I said this is what happened no need to sugar coat it. He said with a much louder tone of voice YOU DONT TELL ME I AM SUGAR COATING! DONT PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH. It's clear these are very intolerant and untrained people to deal with a problem that can repercute bad on their capacity to provide service. On the top of that, they were extremely unprofessional and I wonder why did I deserve that type of intolerant treatment if I was left with a likely defective car and was not even refunded at the time for the GPS card I paid (around $400). It was like talking to a wall. Hopefully that was not because I am a woman or an immigrant because I wonder if they would have treated someone else different. I might bring my car in regardless or might try to make a complain at the Better business bureau. I am definitely searching for a new place to bring my car. Given by the level of comfort they had to act like that with me they might be feeling really proud of the way they treated me something like how about that girl? I just told her off. Quite honestly this was the most disgusting existence I ever had with a service in my entire life.I literally use my cell phone to give my direction on a car I bought I made the extra effort to include GPS. Haven't had too much luck with the service department. On my last vehicle (CX5), I scheduled an appointment to take care of a recall. Once I brought the car it, it was like - sorry, we don't have that part in stock. Really, cause me scheduling an appointment in advance wasn't maybe like a clue to make sure you had the part in? Friday, I brought my car in for something I was assured they could fix when I called to schedule the appointment (the car randomly "arms" itself - not letting me start it - it eventually has started again, but the weekend before, it was about 30 minutes before it did). Once I got there for the scheduled appointment, it was a different story. We can't fix it unless it is happening right now. But it's not their fault, it is the call center's fault. I told the call center exactly what the problem was, and verified that they would be able to find and fix the issue. I was given NO indication that if the problem wasn't happening often enough for them to try to duplicate it, there isn't much point in bringing it in. Complete waste of my time, and no apology - just "it's not our fault, it's the call center's fault". So basically, if the call center can't tell me if the problem is something that the computer can diagnose - or whether they have to experience the problem to fix it - what am I supposed to do to try to get it fixed. I love having a vehicle that is just a little over a year old, that I'm afraid to drive, wondering if it will start for me. read more
