Let me start off by saying I have been to many places over the years to get my nails done and have never been impressed until I came here. Staff: Where can I start, the people who work here treat you like family no matter if your a new customer or an old one. You will always be greeted with a friendly smile and polite staff. They are very welcoming and very patient especially if you are indecisive on what you want. I couldn't have asked for a better staff to take care of me. The staff are very gentle and caring when handling your nails. Services: They offer a wide variety of services and extras. I really like that about this place. I can either come in and get the same old same old or I can get something I've never gotten before. Selections: They have the biggest selection of polishes I have ever seen and their always adding new ones it's awesome. They have a beautiful selection of acrylics as well which is really nice. My favorite by far and my usual go to is their gel polish, every time I go in they have always added to the collection and it's amazing. Prices: They have the best prices out of every place I've ever been and you definitely get what you pay for. You will not be disappointed and it's worth every penny. I spent about $120 not including the tip. Experience: Thus far I have been here twice and my experience is always above and beyond expectations. I have never been disappointed. Soooo pleasantly surprised! I was working in Lancaster and needed a gel balance and stopped by during lunch. I could tell immediately that Mindy knows what she is doing. Super gentle and exact in her touch, she did a beautiful job. I need my nails super short and she knew exactly how to counsel me off the ledge of too short. She also was super helpful in educating me in the difference between acrylic nails, which I've had for the last 6 months and dip nails which sounds like it will be even better for me. I paid $75 for a full set and the next day one nail came off. not that big of a deal figured i'd just go get it fixed but then 3 days after getting the initial manicure done, i had lost half of my nails. when i called and asked for a refund or for them to be fixed, they said there was nothing they could do about it. i should also add that there were rhinestones lining the cuticle on my ring fingers of both hands that all fell off as well. read more

The people are especially friendly, place is clean, never waited long, prices seem reasonable so why go anywhere else? My nails were actually very pretty when they were done but I walked into the store thinking it'd be 50 at the MOST. The website claims gel acrylics are 35 and when I got up to the register, the man says 58 dollars?! So I asked why it was so much and he said 35 for acrylics, 15 for gel, and 7 for shape. Okay they were good. But not THAT good. I went back in a nicely asked about the website and another man almost attacks me and says, "Our website is nearly 10 years old! My daughter went there Thursday before her hoco and she had dip gel on, she had asked the nail salon to remove her dip gel and give her acrylics, they refused to remove the dip gel and put the acrylic over he dark brown she had on before, so the color of her nails didn't match her dress, and the brown was showing through her nails, and that wasn't what she asked for because "they couldn't do it" it was just lazy of the nail tech. Wouldn't fix properly or refund money. Needless to say we will not be going back! Horrible customer service when we went back. They charged her 69.00 which doesn't even make sense. I got dip, pedicure, and eyebrows waxed alomost every 2 weeks here. Lately their service has started going down hill with the newer staff they have working. I had to go to another salon to have the jacked up dip they put on my nails removed and redone. The owner was told of the issue and didn't do anything to fix it as usual. Rushed and sloppy. Didn't file the top layer of the old gel, left me soaking in a bowl of acetone for about 10 minutes, then burned me when filing off the old gel with the electric buffer. The new gel outside edges look pretty bad. Definitely needed a 3rd coat of color as I can see through the brush strokes in spots. As someone who travels for work and has visited many salons for many gel manicures around the country, this one is very close to one of the worst I've had. 2 stars because they did get me in quick as a walk in and my pedicure wasn't terrible, but again I've had much better. Everything in the nail salon is fresh and new looking. We were promptly greeted and given the run down of services. We each got the standard pedicure which was given in a massage chair. The nail techs were friendly, did not rush, and did a really nice job. Most importantly the shop was clean. i've had two bad experiences here. the first time i got acrylics and they were honestly the worst i've ever seen. they weren't shaped at all or anything like what i asked for, and all i asked for was simple ombré. i'd post a picture but i don't want the lady to see them and feel bad. today i had a pedicure and the guy was so rough about it. he kept grabbing my foot and like almost slamming it down. he did one coat of paint, which is already chipping and it's been about 8 hours, he spent maybe 10 minutes doing it too. read more

Just buy new topcoat ALREADY, So that I can get a decent pedicure. And when I complain about a service don't tell me I'm trying to get something for free because I paid in full, and tipped appropriately. I happen to work in a salon I know how things work. If I could give them half of a star I would.... I went to this nail salon with members of my bridal party the day before my wedding. The salon was hopping and there seemed to be plenty of happy customers, but unfortunately I was NOT fated to be one of them... I'm certain that the gentleman who was doing my nails was the owner of the salon. He spent the majority of my time at the table answering the phone and looking at the door when customers would come in. He would stand up at a moments notice to make sure the new customers were taken care of and to direct his employees, which meant my nails took twice as long as the rest of my bridal party for him to finish and I never had his full attention. Not only that, I told him from the beginning that I have never had acrylic nails before and was uncertain of how long they should be. Some of the girls later told me that the nails were far longer than they really needed to be. As I looked at them later, some of the nails were clearly lopsided and some of the goop was on the fingers instead of on my nails. Overall, not a positive experience. read more

I would give them 0 stars if I could but the designs on my acrylics were amazing however, I Came here with my friend to get acrylics and they got us in fast and were super friendly but not even a week later my friends acrylics broke, so we went to someone else to get it fixed and the people told us that the acrylic powder wasn't good enough and it was lifting. They tried to fix mine since i came to get a balance and not even a week after that 4 of my nails broke off. It left my natural nail completely intact because it just completely lifted off. they are the worst place i've ever been to, they charge at least 10$ more than what they tell you they are going to charge you to begin with. the lady doing my nails was very rude she insulted my friend and i multiple times. when she was sanding my nails down she cut 3 of my fingers they bled for a good while she didn't apologize or even acknowledge the fact she cut me. they are very unsanitary and unprofessional i would not recommend this place to anyone! read more

Just disappointing, firstly the prices are ridiculous. I've had my nails done in several states including New York, Virginia and North Carolina; this is by far the most expensive place and worst nail salon I've been to. I went with a group and most of the acrylics that were done were all different and looked terrible. Those that got them painted or had gel put on were chipping and looked terrible within a few days. I had a basic pedi and had my fingernails polished (my own nails). I was told it would be 70.00 which is crazy expensive. When I got my bank statement they had deducted 114.00 (I was irate)!!!! They took my existing gel nails off incorrectly during the pedicure (you should not have to submerge your hands in acetone for an extended period of time, it just isn't good for your skin!) and both my mani and pedi were sloppy. I could not get into my regular nail salon because of the holiday. I decided to walk into Luu Nails for a gel polish. Nowhere in their establishment were prices listed. But, all gel polishes should be the same within a dollar or two, right? I was immediately taken in and told to choose a color given a sample of nails that were already painted. I showed the brown color I wanted. When he started painting, I noticed the color wasn't brown, but sometimes the color comes out different after the light. Nope, this color was a holographic color that changed between purple and green. Pretty, but not what I wanted. I was made even more uncomfortable when he took out a nail file that had been used countless times and used it on me. My salon uses a fresh one each time! He took out the cuticle clippers and I noticed that there was already skin still on them from their last use. I was so grossed out, I couldn't get out of their fast enough! He also clipped his nails right in front of me while waiting for my nails to process. Gross! Lastly, he took a cotton ball that was sitting on top of the polish remover bottle soaking and used it on my fingers! How many other people had that touched? Then, when it came time to pay, he charged me $35 plus tax. That is $10 more than any other salon here in town! I definitely won't stray back to Luu. Too expensive and very unsanitary! Now, my nails are already peeling off. It has only been 5 days. My gel usually lasts 2 weeks! Never again! read more
