very disappointed, overall! made an online appointment but apparently their site wasn't working properly (per the gals at the reception desk) and so my cut and color ended up being a cut and root touch up. the sylist made my roots super dark and the rest of my hair was lighter and it looked awful! Embarrassing! Expensive lesson learned - had to have everything corrected at another salon. I did call and requested to speak w the manager or owner but no one returned my call. The receptionist indicated that she was "almost a manager because I've been here the longest" - not sure what that even meant. lol! All in all - will not be patronizing this business and will tell others the same! read more

I got my haircut last year at this salon because it's always recommended to me. As someone with haircut ptsd I was super nervous and now I have pretty much no trust in salons anymore. I showed my stylist the two reference photos below, my hair was to my collar bone with no bangs before the cut. I wanted a shaggy layered haircut and to keep my length. We also picked out a color and I actually loved how my color turned out. But the stylist didn't check with me on length and grabbed some of my hair and said let's get some of the length off and cut it to my chin before I could even say anything. I hated it, it was nothing like what I asked for. I tried emailing the business after it happened but never got a response. As someone who works in a similar career I didn't feel comfortable complaining to my stylist after the fact because it was so short nothing could be done to fix it. I would've totally understood if my stylist told me she didn't feel comfortable with the cut I wanted and I would've just got a color and trim. I got eyelash extensions on Friday december 17th and the next day on the 18th my eyes were burning so badly that tears were pouring out of my eyes and I couldn't see then I had an allergic reaction to them but before I could even have them on for a full week they were falling out in chunks with my natural lashes.I also want to mention that they put so much glue on them that they were matted together and I couldn't get the brush through them.a chunk of the lashes the women put on wasn't even glued to my eyelash right it was hanging off I do not recommend going to this place read more

First time here. Was treated to a pedicure here by my MIL. The ladies here were friendly and they did a great job on my pedicure!!

Went for a mani/pedi before my wedding and the girl destroyed my cuticles. I was bleeding and obviously in pain but she kept going then just left them bleeding. Left the salon with bloody nails and an uneven file for my wedding day:/ read more

Although the gal who did my eyelash extensions was very nice, they look absolutely awful afterward. She used entirely too much glue and pulled a couple of my real eyelashes out, which was very painful. After the third "owww!" I wasn't even offered an "oops or I'm sorry". Two of the eyelash extensions point straight down toward my bottom lashes and my real eyelashes are glued together in groups of three and four. They look very unnatural in the worst way possible. You truly get what you pay for. read more

This is lengthy, but detailed. I believe if I am going to write a negative review I need to give more information to explain why I am leaving such a low rating. I am very disappointed with the service/lack thereof I received today at Ireland's Spa & Salon in Lancaster, Ohio (first time almost customer, now currently recommending against this business entirely). The receptionist, Leah, and Taylor the stylist who attempted to provide me customer service/hair service were kind, professional, and reasonable. The stylist Christie who cancelled my service for the day was quite the opposite, and also not my scheduled stylist. The salon did not have the hair dye that I needed, and would not allow use of my own hair dye in the colors needed. I completely understand if it is against policy for clients to bring in their own dye (even if it is the same brand salon quality dye currently available in other colors at the salon). The stylist Christie was rude in her presentation of the policy, did not genuinely apologize, pressured me to change my appointment date, presented poor communication skills and customer service skills, was unprofessional - especially for a supposedly reputable business like Ireland's, and would not allow for me to receive service when my request for service was altered to meet the current products available. The change of request I made is a service provided to other clients on a regular basis (hair lightening/bleaching, which she herself has had done, and another lady in the salon was having this service completed while the conversation with Christine occurred). This stylist flat out said no, they couldn't do that, it simply would not work. I explained that I took time out of my work schedule this date to receive services, and was unsure when I would be able to reschedule. The response from Christie was clear that she did not care, would not assist me, and would not allow for me to receive any service today. I must reschedule. So I left, without any service provided. This rude lady messed up my hair time - which is supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable, correct?!? *... And believe me, I tried to make it work - because I rarely have an opening in my schedule like the one planned for today.* My husband and I have our own businesses in addition to our full time jobs - including current rentals and small retail business, and previous retail experience owning and running our own brick and mortar stores. You do not treat a customer this way - EVER. If the customer is displeased with the service or how they are being treated, you genuinely apologize, listen to their complaints, offer a compromise, and try your best to meet customer requests to the best of your ability. Instead I was sent away with horrible customer service from this stylist, who should have never been a part of my experience in the first place! The only reason I scheduled an appointment with this salon and not my home salon out of town is due to my busy work schedule, home responsibilities, parenting responsibilities, and in general full schedule - common for many folks. I now know why ladies drive from all over to go to my home salon (and why I have done so for 5 years and will continue after this wretched experience). My hair dye process is expensive, and I am happy to pay for good service (and tip well might I add, to my husbands dismay at times). Before this experience I was considering scheduling additional services - facials, nails, gift cards for my niece (named Ireland), purchasing a new nail polish color or makeup that caught my eye when I first walked in, etc. At this point I will not be giving this business any of my money due to the poor service and experience this date, nor will I schedule any other services. I highly recommend you find a better salon to spend your hard earned money! I do understand this is one person who made my experience so poor - and it is possible she was having a bad day. This is NOT an excuse for such poor customer service. One person can most definitely negatively affect your business - this is what occurred for me today, at this point altering my opinions of the business entirely. I will gladly change my review if this business can show me otherwise. Until then I recommend against this business completely - it isn't worth the risk of a similar negative experience. read more

I got my eyelashes done here and she did the WORST job. She glued four of my eyelashes together multiple times and that is very bad for the health of your eyelashes because your eyelashes grow at different rates. She also glued the eyelashes to my skin which caused pain and irritation. She also was done with my appointment in about thirty minutes. Eyelash appointment should last an hour or two when getting a full set of eyelashes. I would not recommend unless you want to end up like me with barely any eyelashes. Crying in the club. read more

Mariah use to be my hairstylist there but today that ends! I went in on Friday March 18th to get my hair colored. I have a balayage dark on top and blonde on bottom. Well after seeing Mariah for over a year now things were fine. almost everytime I went in there I told her I wanted mt ends lighter. This whole time I thought that is what she was doing. It wasn't until this last time when th price was higher that I found out she was only doing "maintenance" on my hair! So she never listened to what i wanted this whole time! So anyways, the big issue happened on 3/18/22. When i got their for my appt i told her i wanted to be lighter on the bottom this time around bc were going on vacation soon and also summer is coming up. Now when i went in there i was already kind of blonde on the bottom. More of a yellowish blonde, which i wanted to be more of a soft white/ashy blonde on bottom. i explained that to her and she said she would go mix up colors. Long story short my balayage is gone and I basically have all brown hair which is not what I asked for or what I want it now before I left the salon my hair looked fine wasn't until later on that evening and even the next day and days after my hair really starting to get super dark . i messaged her the next day and said it was due to the toner. i told her I don't understand why my hair is so dark when I walked in there my hair was light on the bottom and now it is dark I asked her if there was anyway that I could come in and she could just throw a different toner on or put some lighter pieces on the bottom she basically said to give it a few days and see if it lightens up she told me to wash my hair several times and it should lighten up at this point she started to kind of get rude with me and even suggest it quote "Shit use dawn dish soap and wash away all your toner you'll really feel blonde then" which I just thought that was very unprofessional if you knew that my hair could get blonde on the bottom by dawn dish soap than any product that as lawn uses should be able to do the same thing by using a different toner I do believe that this could've been avoided!!! I wasn't asking for full service I was just asking if she could put lighter pieces in as she failed to do so during services! I took her advice and waited days to let my hair really sit and I've washed it several times and still it just kept getting darker I know my hair I have went from dark brown to almost platinum blonde granted I had to pay an arm and a leg but I know that my hair lifts very well she blamed it on the toner and then days later once I told her that it still was not looking right she told me that my hair just doesn't lash well so which is it the toner or my hair doesn't lift well . I tried to explain to her again that I would like to just come in have her try a different toner or throw a few light pieces on the bottom just so I can fill like myself again since I did pay her quite a bit of money to get this done. She told me that I could come in but she would have to charge me. I'm just really confused on how she said she could get the blonde in my hair but she would have to charge me but yet prior to that conversation she told me that it would have to take many sessions overtime to get the blonde back in my hair which again the blonde should've never been out of my hair when I never asked to be dark/brown on bottom!!!!! She was extremely rude there our conversation horrible customer service and just was not understanding I was very apart especially because we had such a good relationship I've been till this point I've never once complained to her or had any issues and the first time that I did she did not want to fix it this could've been an easy fix and yeah it all came down to money to her I understand this is her job and she hast to make money I completely understand that the customer service is everything and now she has lost a good paying client!!! I honestly feel like she was trying to gaslight me because she has went through cosmetology school and I have not but again nobody knows my hair better than I do and I know how well my hair can lift!!! I went and had eyelash extensions done by Mariah. They looked great the first few hours but by the time I got home they were falling out!!! I got my eyelash extensions put on Friday, and it's now Tuesday and they look AWFUL!!! Huge gaps, and falling out like crazy. I followed every rule they told me (didn't get them wet for over 24 hours, didn't use mascara, applied no eyeshadow) and they still look terrible. I will NEVER go back for this service.
