Came in to get my nails done at 725. They close at 8. There was three workers just sitting there around one of the desks (a guy and two ladies; I believe). I needed a few nails fixed (I did get them done somewhere else as a disclaimer). They don't do dip powder there so I asked if they'd just take do gel on the gels that my dip powder chipped off on. Met with silence... I then suggested that we just take the dip powder off and do gel instead. She was very hesitant and said "well we close at 8," she then agreed and then relooked at my nails and said "can you come back tomorrow?" I said yeah so as not to be rude but I should have just said forget it. Of course I didn't come the next day. Why say you're open until 8 if you're not? Why just sit there with an empty salon and do nothing to save face?? Just close earlier! There's salons out there busting their ass!!! They want $$, they even stay past close. I came in with really damaged hair from all the flat ironing, at home bleaching/coloring and let's not forget the tons of products I put in my hair. My ma recommend for me to see Sue and am glad she did. I came in pretty hesitant cus it's really only been my hands that cut and colored my hair for years. I love this salon! Every time I come, it is always so clean, nicely decorated and smells nice--not that icky chemical smell you get from most salons in the area. The women are very friendly and accommodating. Also, I'm always offered water or hot tea which is a nice touch: If you need to have your nails did, I highly recommend Pam. She is incredibly meticulous and detail oriented... She is definitely a bit of a perfectionist which is awesome because my nails look flawless every time. The only drawback is that it takes a lot longer than what I was normally used to which is fine for me since I now just allot more time to my salon visits. We booked 4 pedicures, a manicure, and gel manicure and the lovely ladies at luvie accommodated our whole group on a Friday night! 2 of the guys were having their first pedicure and had a wonderful first experience. Quin did my gel French manicure and did an amazing job. I've only found a few people in the world that can do a French manicure to my picky standards and she passed the test! She did a great job but was also very time efficient and it didn't take long at all. Some manicurists spend 20 minutes re-doing the same nail, and that was not the case! I would definitely go back because of the excellent service, and also the prices!!! The same gel manicure in LA costs me $15 more! What a deal:) read more

I normally go to Salon Image in Carson, but do to my schedule, I wasn't able to make the 40 mile drive to get my hair done by Kevin & I really needed to get my hair done for my birthday. This ended up being $100. I've never been to a salon that charged for a trim with a color service... EVER. The Trim - I lost 2 inches of my hair. I had long layers which took me over 3 years to grow those 2 inches... and my hair is shorter & I have layers with a blunt cut (straight across from the back). My coworker told me that I was rocking a Tina Turner look... if that can give you an idea of what I look like now. The Re-Touch - He didn't do shit!! He gave me a few highlights and used toner to try to match Kevin's work... Why is this a fail? My hair is naturally jet black and my roots still showed because he didn't dye my roots to the chocolate brown. My head was officially 3 colors. Also, since he didn't use semi-permanent color (like he should have) the color washed out in a week. Besides that I wanted ALL of my hair retouched, not just the crown and he wanted an extra $100... eff that. I normally pay $70 for a haircut, retouch of color AND highlights on my ENTIRE head that lasts and looks great... I want to leave a salon feeling sexy, not looking like a Tuna Turner impersonator. This place isn't for me... but it seems to be a great place for a lot of the women who don't mind being overcharged for okay looking hair. read more

I have sensitive skin and Luvie Salon was perfect for me. Quinn was very gentle and took the time to do a great job! My nails and toes look great, and it was a great experience. I saw a negative review mentioning that the doors are locked. They keep the doors locked at night for safety. The neighbor felt safe, but it felt nice to know that they were extra attentive to the safety of the salon and their clients. I'm not often in the area, but I will visit next time I'm in town. She didn't greet me or ask what I wanted at all, so I sat in the waiting chairs next to another person waiting. I had been sitting for at least 15 minutes by the time she called the guy up to cut his hair and still didn't ask what I needed. Traumatic. RUN. Last time I went to do my nails they cut me several times. The tools they use aren't clean. I literally saw the lady quyen or q something wipe her cutter with a rag right after using it on someone and just get it ready for the next person. I was shook. Never been to a spot like that. They don't keep the place clean and I even tried to give the hairstylist Kristen a chance and I had a horrible experience with her. Too focused on looking herself and talking on her phone while leaving me to wait. I had to remind her that I was waiting and still there. She said opps. Luvie Salon Spa, located in the parking lot of Pizza Hut & Centerfield Sports, is a diamond in the rough! We couldn't have been happier with our experience. After realizing that many nail salons were closed at 7pm, my friend MH and I scoured Yelp and stumbled upon Luvie. We decided to try our luck since it stated that the salon was open until 10pm. (**Note that some of the services do end earlier than 10). Wendy, the manager, greeted us with open arms and gave us a tour of the facility. I was really impressed with how nice the salon was, down to the products they used and the massage pedicure chairs. She told us all the different options, from reflexology, to massage, to mani/pedis and then seated us. Charlie, one of the masseurs on break, gave my friend and I hot tea while we soaked our feet - a nice aromatic mix of ginger root, chamomile, and green tea (as Wendy told me). They are having a grand opening special since they have only been open for 3 weeks - $20 for spa mani/pedi. We decided to upgrade to the $40 package, with a grand opening 20% discount, which includes eucalyptus or lavendar aromatherapy oils, an exfoliating foot scrub, a 10-minute arm and shoulder massage, and a hot oil foot rub, before they work on your mani/pedi. With the massage chairs, it was heavenly! Note that a French manicure/pedicure is an additional $3 each. The workers were very friendly and professional, wearing gloves and white coats when performing their services. Everyone was meticulous and took extreme care - I didn't feel like cattle being rushed through the experience. They refilled my tea, and I had a great conversation with many of the ladies who worked there... thus the glowing experience. Both MH and I exclaimed that we found ourselves a wonderful place with reasonable prices and great customer service. For those wanting to leave feeling pampered & pretty, this is the place to go! Andy ALWAYS does an awesome job w/my hair - from the cut to the color to the styling!! He not only knows his products, but he knows what style, color & highlights will look best for the look I'm trying to achieve. Most places & most stylist rush the appointment so that they may move to the next client. More clients means more money for them.....but Andy treats you like a VIP! He takes his time & does it right. Nice that it is open later than most nail salons, but if that means they're going to be tired and not care about the job, then no thank you. I came around 5:30pm (not even near closing time) on a Sunday and there were only 2 ladies total doing nails, so I'm sure they were tired. But still, that's no excuse for poor service that I'm paying for. The lady doing my manicure filed my nails so carelessly that she filed deep into the meat of my finger! And she acted as if she didn't know where that came from! It really hurt :( (see photo) The lady doing my pedicure rushed through my nails and majority of my toes were only HALF painted. She went on to work on another customer's nails so my manicure lady had to fix them. Not only that, she cut my big toe nail super crooked. (See photo) I didn't notice until after it was painted and when I asked her to fix it she said "It's ok, no one will see it." UM, if no one would see my toes then why would I pay money to get them done in the first place??? THEN she tries to blame it on me and says it's because I wanted short nails. Since when did short=crooked?? It wasn't like I was rude either. I was very nice and polite the whole time and we even made small talk...so it's not like they were doing this in spite. There is a reason why I don't get my mani and pedi done very often: they are expensive and I often get hurt. Well, not here. I yelped this place because it was 9 pm and my bf and I felt like pampering ourselves, and this place happens to be open until 10 pm. I called and right away, Wendy said that they would be ready for me. By the time we got there it was 9:30 pm. Nothing was rushed, in fact, Wendy still took the time to show us the whole place, the types of massages and even a hair salon. I was impressed. Most viet-owned places I go to, are trying to sell you things you don't even need, but in this place, I didnt feel like that. Also, the girls that did our nails were super GENTLE, and PROFESSIONAL. My bf has ugly feet, but the girl doing his pedi did not get gross out. Also, we got some organic tea while enjoying a chair massage. I went for an extra $5 massage on my feet= HEAVENLY!!! I felt so good after getting this done, that my bf and I bought certificates for family members. I will definately go back for their facials and massages. This place is simply the BEST!!! P.S. My manicure was ok, but nothing to rave about. Technician looked like she was reusing the same tools on multiple clients. Emery board was too large and course. Not once was I asked about my nail shape prior to cutting them. Technician had me rest my palm on a plastic cotton ball container and spent every few minutes talking to the other Tech in Vietnamese trying to secure another customer. The salon is nice looking and has the added bonus of doing hair, nails, and massages, but with my experience, I wouldn't go back or recommend it to anyone. read more

Manicure & Pedicure: 1 Star Reflexology/Massage: 5 Stars I went in there based on Yelp reveiws, my manicure and pedicure were HORRIBLE, my cuticles were all raggedy looking when they were done (probably becasue they soaked my hands to soften my cuticles AFTER they had already cut them, duh) my nails were jagged and started peeling the next day (I had to file them all down myself and now I'm waiting for them to grow back) and were not even at all! If I had not been in a hurry I would have pointed all these things out to them so they could have an opportunity to correct them, but I didn't. One exception to the bad mani/pedi was their callus remover - whatever they used combined with the scrub pad did a great job! My massage/reflexology was fantastic - very relaxing and a great price - I wish I had gotten the guys name so I could be sure to ask for him next time I go in. Great value and customer service. They greet you instantly, and offer you tea and chocolate. I got a mani/pedi, with gel on my finger nails and a beautiful flower design on toes $45 total. They did a fantastic job. I also got hair color, and highlights $116 for my short hair. Andy their hair stylist is super friendly, and is a hair pro! Wendy is such a sweet and welcoming lady. She offers her customers a nice warm cup of organic tea. The salon's also very clean and sanitary, which is alllllways a plus! I went in to do the CND Shellac manicure, and Pam was the technician doing my manicure. She's sooo nice and was really gentle with cutting the dry skin and cuticles. I didn't feel a thing. However, I left the salon with still wet gel polish on a few of my nails. So, when I got home, there was fuzz getting stuck to the shellac polish. I went back the next day to get it fixed, and Pam was nice enough to take her time to fix any mishaps. Looks like I'll be coming back! read more

I tried this place out with a friend for a "girls-day" pedicure. The massage chairs were great, the pedicure was clean professional and didn't hurt at all. I wanted to get the simple pedicure ($17) but when they mentioned what was included in the next one up ($25) I went with that one and boy did I need it! After a day in sandals, my feet left pampered and baby smooth! My only critique was that the didn't have a UV drying place so we had to wait until our nails dried to leave. Oh! And they didn't have any of the paper slippers some places give you. I'm going back to get my hair cut and eyebrows/lips waxed. More reviews to come! read more

I work a lot and always get out around 7ish every night. I honestly found Luvie Salon and decided to go there solely because they were open late. I DO NOT REGRET IT. The spa was clean and spotless, and the service was impeccable!!! I got an AMAZING hour massage for only $20! It was a great deal! Why? I always go to the $15 places down on Bolsa, and frankly, they all suck. The masseuse here, Charlie, knew all the pressure points and made me feel so relaxed by the time he was done. I do not mind paying an extra $5 if I got THAT good of a massage. What else is great about Luvie? Just give them a call and they'll take you in! They serve great herbal tea, free of charge, and the massage therapy room is quite on the high-end for such a low price. I also got a mani-pedi the same night... for only $20! The chairs were comfy and the ladies were fast, but not too fast. They got the job done and honestly did a great job. I am definitely coming back on a late night soon! read more

The prices are great and the customer service is beyond that. It's a new nail salon and you can definitely tell that they are truly working for your business and loyalty. They made sure that we were comfortable in the massage chairs and offered us tea and chocolate. The owner came out and made sure we were completely satisfied with the services and our experience here. She gave us discount cards as well to give to friends and family. I got a full spa mani and pedi and my mani lasted about 2 weeks. That's actually really good for not being gel and for me in general. My pedi still looks fresh. Definitely check this place out.
