So I'll start off by saying the guy with the tattoos that works there (I think he is only guy). 10/10 he was detailed, gentle, filed my nails exactly how I want it. I think I got Structure Gel/Gel builder. I am not fond of thick gel nails and he gave me the perfect thickness, I should have requested him again. (He is the only reason I am giving this a 2) HOWEVER, I liked my experience so much I went back to get them redone but with someone else that was available. (The lady who sits by the cashier). Let me just say that was a big mistake. I don't get my nails done so I have never taken off gel before or got it redone, I don't know the process (I also told her this). So after she took off the gel and started painting, I asked for a trim (so she can do it before painting). I asked again because she didn't cut my nails yet, she confirmed that trimming the nails happen later (in slightly sassy tone). This is where it went all wrong, she BLUNDT CUT my nails, and it seems like some started to CHIP, so she ended up having to use SUPER GLUE TO FIX some of my nails at the tips. (Never hesrd of this experienced before). Before the process I showed her the nail shape that the guy did that I really liked and she said she can do that for me (almond shape). SHE WENT HAM ON THE FILER. It was uncomfortable and rough, she filed so ROUGH and UNEVEN. I was slightly bothered. And in the end I got pointed nails that I disliked, I even told her that she shaved off the sides too much, got slightly defensive, so I knew just to let it go and tell her to round the tips, I disliked how pointed she made it. My nails are uneven and each nail points and leans towards a different side. The thick gel is also uneven. I asked for thinner layer, said the thickness of what I got last time was perfect, she even clarified with the guy that did it. I am so shocked, on my experience, I would only go back to the guy who did my first set, but I don't think I am going back. read more

Went in last minute and had Sunny! she was so so so nice and took her time, usually the work id get done would be sped under an hour elsewhere, but she really took her time to make sure everything was good! very sweet person too. nails are a tiny bit on the thicker side, but overall the shape and experience with her was great! she did a good job, although the price for what i got done was quite hefty.. $80 for builder gel that was a very basic cats eye with literally no design LOL no hate to sunny (she's amazing) since she doesn't set the prices of course, but Blush prices lowkey... rough, i'd come back for sunny but unfortunately i think these prices are steep since theres plenty of artists that can do this same work for $20 or more less :,( i'd understand if $80 had designs but its so plain haha, ive gotten intricate designs for this cost elsewhere 10000/5 for sunny 3.5/5 for the price/blush itself :( also because they originally said $60 when i overheard them talking to each other but it became $80 at the register for whatever reason LOL oh well i guess read more

But the last two times I walked in WITH an appointment and they made me wait over 45 minutes. The first time I understood that things happen and waited until they could take me. Today I had an appointment at 5:15, I arrived at 5:07 and waited until 5:53 with zero communication from them. At that point I asked how much longer it would be and was told ANOTHER 30-45 minutes. Not sure what's up with O.C. Nail Salon shops but they are not disabled friendly. All the shops not in O.C. Can do my nails with my gimpy hands. This nail shop doesn't let you know they charge you extra for other services. I did a cat eye and was not aware they charge ten dollars for it. Other shops didn't charge me for cat eye. My nails did not look cat eye and I can take the blame for that because I should've told her. They up charge my friend without telling her they were going to do that. I'm very picky with how my nails are done, especially how they clean around the manicure against my cuticles and it looks practically perfect for my manicure. Not only that, they repeatedly tried to upsell me to the most expensive service even though I was very clear about the price range I wanted. Additionally, my technician, Tina, was very unsanitary. She kept touching her phone while wearing the same gloves, then used those gloves to grab the scrub paste and continue working on my feet. This was extremely off-putting and unhygienic. There is also a lack of price transparency. I had to clarify multiple charges at the register, which seems to be a common issue mentioned in other reviews as well. I called ahead to see if they had availability on a Sunday afternoon. They said I could come in immediately and I drove over. The salon was empty and somewhat clean. The pedicure chairs could be dusted off and wiped down more as it looked unkept. It seems like they do use clean tools for every customer which is great to easily see. I didn't have a nail design in mind but wanted a gel pedicure and gelx nails. I showed them a pink set with some 3D flowers on them as it was the first thing I saw when I googled pink nails. They quoted me about $130-150. I looked for a simpler design which was pink with some waves. They said it would be $90 for the gelx nail set. I thought It was a bit pricey but was hoping their work would be worth it. The regular pedicure was $43 which is similar to what other places charge. The girl doing my toe nails kept putting the UV lamp in an awkward position and smudged the nails a few times while curing them. The girl doing my pedicure and the girl doing my manicure seemed to be in rush when there was no one waiting for a tech. Both girls burnt/hurt my nails while using the nail drills. They also got too close to my cuticles while using the drills on a fast setting. When the girl was prepping my nails for the manicure, she cut down my natural nails and didn't file them or shape them. I asked her to file them as I was getting almond/oval nails and didn't want my natural nails sticking out. I told them girl doing my manicure that I can't have long nails at work and it was my first time getting nails in a while so I wanted her to cut the nails down a few times for me to see what length work for me. By the third time she cut the nails down, she seemed irritated so I said the length was fine. Since she was in a rush to get my nails done, she left bubbles in the polish and didn't get the color close enough to my cuticles. My nails look like they're grown out but it's only been a day since getting them done. The gel under my nails seems to be too thick. The gel also looks dirty for some reason. It looks like it has lint in it? Gel was stuck to one of my fingers and some of my nails have gel on the cuticles that wasn't cleaned up. When I got home, I noticed my thumb had gel that basically glued my nail to my skin. The design I got was simple and I'm not sure if it's worth $90. If they weren't in a rush and took their time doing my nails right, I could justify the price. But their work wasn't that great and I'm not sure if I would come back for a manicure.
