this review is for two technicians named Mai and Cindy. this is my 2nd time here. first time was a walk in on tuesday am. today i made it a point and schedule an appointment since it is on a friday. the staff mentioned are courteous, kind and attentive and thorough. i think cindy is the most thorough professional technician for nail builder with acrylic that i have experienced. im told to come back 3-4 weeks and will continue to do so. best suggestion for everyone is to ask for clarity on pricing and what exactly you are hoping to get done. that way there is no misunderstanding. i think the pricing should be posted for complete clarity but if it isn't clear cut on what you are looking for seek for pricing info ahead. i typically will get cuticle trimmed, parafin and extra massage on top of a natural tone color P3 the technicians are hardworking and welcoming. thank you Cindy and Mai for being thorough and great at what you do! glad i found a shop to come back to. read more

My sister and I walked into this salon expecting a relaxing experience, but it ended up being our first and last visit. As soon as I sat down, the nail tech (I believe her name was Kim) started removing my nails. In the middle of my service, one of her regular clients walked in saying she broke a nail. Kim initially asked her to come back the next day, but when the client said she couldn't, Kim completely interrupted my appointment to work on her instead. I was left sitting there while she prioritized someone else over a paying customer already in her chair. When the regular was leaving, Kim told her there would be no charge, but the client insisted on giving her $20 and clearly said to put it toward my nails since she interrupted my time. I even told her it was okay, but she insisted. At checkout, after I was basically pressured into adding a pedicure, I was given my total. I asked what happened to the $20 that was meant to go toward my service, and Kim told me it was her tip. At that point, it wasn't even about the money. I politely said, "Please don't talk to me like I'm stupid." My sister and I both clearly heard the client say that the $20 was meant to go toward my nails--not as a tip. On top of that, the quality of the nails did not meet expectations, especially for the way the situation was handled. Overall, the service was disrespectful, unprofessional, and uncomfortable. No customer should have their time treated like that. Obviously they're worried bout the money and not their clients thieves !!!! We will not be returning. read more

This place is so unnecessarily expensive which is a shame because I live right next to them so it's convenient for me to come here. I went in literally just to change my nail color on my REAL nails and it was $25????? Their menu says $20 and the lady there said they charge $5 more since it was my real nails which makes absolutely no sense to me. I have no acrylics on and because of that they're charging me $5 more? In my opinion, $5 extra would make sense for those with acrylics due to more product usage. It was unfair to charge me an extra $5, my nails are short and real. My previous nail color was silver and I simply wanted to change it to black. Sorry to say but she totally scammed me with that. I also didn't appreciate that they waited until check out to surprise me with that. Had they told me about that ridiculous $5 charge I would've gone somewhere else. I hate when places do this and are sneaky with charging you more for no reason. The lady also kept asking me why I don't do a different service for gel because it's "better." I told her because I don't care for it? If I wanted it I'd get it. I don't appreciate being asked more than once why I'm not getting something else, your place is already expensive as is. ON TOP OF THAT, two of my nails with the gel chipped because it wasn't laminated properly. This happened the day of! I actually don't think I've ever had a problem with that from a nail salon until now. If you're looking for a better experience with much better nail prices, I highly recommend Pro Nails Spa in Fountain Valley. They are INCREDIBLE there with very reasonable prices. There, they charge me $10-15 for a gel color change. Today I just had to come here last minute and was desperate to get my nails renewed (especially since they were outgrown). This place is next to a cleaners I use and they had a sign saying $19 pedi on Mondays so I have them a try. I asked for the pedi on the sign they said it's not good get another one I had a pedi a few weeks before and honestly just needed a polish but said fine I'll get the $25 pedi... I asked for dip powder nails since my natural nails were at a decent length. She did not give me the color powder and I said I wanted just color powder she said no this way in 2 weeks it won't damage your nail. I said well I want to avoid the lamp and don't want gel and I know how I am on nails that's why I like the color powder she said no we do it this way. The owner was very nice about offering me a redo on my nails since the first set was not what I originally wanted. So I came back to get my nails redone. They were very careful and worked diligently to fill file and paint my nails. My new set (nude coffin) is much better than my old. The nails were not chunky and the paint job was much better. I am quite content with how my nails look now, especially compared to my old set. I really like this nude color they offered as well. I would also like to point out that the customer service was quite good during my visit. The nail technicians were polite in asking me what I preferred and if there was anything wrong with the nails before moving onto the next step. I tried telling the other customer about my lashes and the owner of the nail salon got upset at me for "trying to take away her business" Um what?! First time here and really loved my experience. Tracy did a great job with me. When I arrived they checked my temperature and asked me wash my hands. They cleaned up the chair I was going to use. I've been going to this place for about 6 months now, but the last 3 times have been terrible. Cam is great, she shapes the nails exactly like I want them, and they stay on better than anyone else's acrylics I've ever had (and I've been getting acrylics for 5 years). But then she passes me off to someone else who can't understand which color I want, and then puts an excessive amount of coats so the nails look like stubby lumps.
