Well, first of all, it's been a very long time since I had gotten acrylic nails. I always went to a salon in California and I'd get the dip nails. When I walked in, a young gentlemen greeted me. Then a very nice woman greet me as well. He asked me what kind of service I wanted and I said I wanted dip nails. He then explained to me when we sat down that the dip nails are a little more complicated than acrylic nails. He explained how I would have to remove the dip nails completely compared to acrylic nails just change the color and filling them. He said they cost the same, but that acrylic was better. I was already deciding that I wanted acrylic because my fingernails were very thin and brittle. I figured having acrylic nails would just be a better option for me. So he introduced himself and explained to me that he does nails and he's done them for a long time. He didn't explain to me what he was gonna be doing, and I told him that I wanted very short nails. Decided to try this place for the first time because it's only five minutes from my house. I went in for a pedicure and an acrylic fill. Unfortunately, the entire experience was disappointing from start to finish. The woman who did my services rushed through everything and was extremely rough while filing. The edges of my nails are uneven and look sloppy. I was charged $100. The pedicure was $38, and they told me the fill was also $38, but the extra $24 was supposedly for "shaping." The problem is that I came in with almond-shaped nails already. I simply asked for them to be cleaned up, not changed from square to stiletto or anything dramatic. Apparently, that quick touch-up was an additional $24. I was only in the nail chair for about 15 minutes, and it definitely wasn't worth the price. I regret even tipping. I left feeling rushed, overcharged, and honestly scammed. If you're in a hurry, don't make the same mistake I did by trying a random salon. I'd recommend saving your $100 and going somewhere else. read more

I am from out of town for a long stay and have been searching for a good salon. I had 2 recommended this being one of them. Kim was delightful, I got a new powder dip and a wonderful pedicure with NO PAIN unlike the other recommended salon who I decided against pedi after they hurt doing a soak off and re dip powder. ( I mean how.. pay attention to the tools and speed and skin please) We laughed and conversed through the entire time I was there! I most definitely will be returning! Clean, organized, and For both services I was pleased with the price! Her service menus are very upfront with pricing which I also liked! Definitely recommend 10/10! read more

My mom and I decided to go here on a Sunday to get pedicures. She had heard a few good things about the place so we decided to venture over and I am so glad we did! On first glance, the shop is not the most aesthetically pleasing--posters of hands and feet with glammed out nails were covering every wall and there was an odd fountain in the corner. However, the looks shouldn't deter you from the great service! There were around 8 people working at the time and we were quickly seated and drawn hot water. I asked for hot water, but when it was too hot to put my feet in, the woman who was doing my moms pedi (later I found her to be the owner) quickly rushed over and put in some cold water to even the temperature. There was a decent selection of polish, however I've seen better options. Mostly OPI though so definitely quality colors. Down to the quality--the young girl who did my nails was super talkative and friendly and my mom and I absolutely loved getting to know her! The pedi itself was spectacular as well. For $20 we got a basic pedi which included nail trim, cuticle care, skin care, massage, hot towel, and polish. Not to mention the time that was spent--each of our sessions lasted about 30 min and great care was taken to be sure we knew what would be going on each step of the way. We definitely will be coming back in the future to Lux!! read more

Where do I begin?? Tried this place because it had 1 five star review. Sounded promising. My tech could not understand anything I was saying and my nails were crooked (didn't notice until I was gone). There was another tech who talked loudly via FaceTime with her friend for at least 30 minutes. You could easily hear both sides of the entire conversation from anywhere in the salon. All this while doing someone's nails. (I doubt that lady will ever be back.). Also, they had music BOOMING and golf on the TV. Seriously?!? Minor offense, yes, but a good nail salon is in the details. My chair massager was broke also and the place needs cleaned! This place needs better management as it seemed like a free for all in there. I had no idea who was in charge. Not relaxing AT ALL. read more

I went in for a pedicure and was told it would be a 20 mim wait. I was fine with that since I was a walk in. But the inscense they were burning bothered my asthma so bad that I had to leave. It was not very clean and the polish selection was not the best. So I went somewhere else. read more

I have been going there for over 7 years. Today I watched a lady who was clearly in the wrong lie about her being there before another costumer. I had an appointment but the other two ladies came in where almost there at the same time. However when the owner asked who was first the lady who stated she was. The other lady lied and said she was and that she would never come back. I couldn't get over how she lied and how upset she got because the owner politely asked her if she could wait or come back. I believe it was a misunderstanding of why she thought she should have gone first. However she truthfully wasn't next. I've never had anything but the best service from Cindy and Rose. Both of them tried explaining to her and asked her very nicely to wait or make an appointment. read more

Let's see where do I start...When someone finally came to the front to assist us, me, my sister, and niece, we were asked if we could wait, but given no time limit. We were told to pick a color for our nails and while doing as requested, a burly aggressive woman in front wearing a face mask promptly barks, "What are you doing?!" Unable to understand what she said as her voice was muffled by the mask, I asked her to repeat herself. Once she did, I was completely appalled and asked why we were being barked at for picking a color as we had been instructed. As I sit and type this message, two other customers were taken and no explanation was given as we continue to sit and wait. I have NEVER in my life experienced such poor service. This was close to my house so I decided to try it. I had tried it about 3 or 4 years ago and the guy doing my nails pinched my fingers so bad that I didn't go back. This time, there was only 1 other customer but about 7 people "working". They were eating watermelon, walking around thru the shop and 2 little kids were dragging their riding toys all over the place, blocking the doors. My pedicure was first and then I decided to just leave w/o the new set of nails. It was dirty and the water for the ped was not even warm. The girl doing the ped was harsh and my feet are still sore from her "raking" a huge thing over them that hurt bad. Never again!!!! read more

i took my step daughter to get a mani pedi and I got a full set, she just got polish.. they put her feet in the tub and started working on my nails.. my step daughters feet were in the water for about 45 minutes before someone attended to her, and that's because I had to step up and ask if anyone was going to start on her (they had taken 3 other people that had walked in with no appointments before starting her bc the customers they said they'd come back another time, and the salon obviously didn't want to lose $$) I was done with my full set before they had even finished one foot. on top of that the man rushed through her polish and most of the nails looked like they needed a better coat. by this time shes just discouraged and wants to leave and made it very clear she never wants to go back. wasted way to much time for a poor experience ! read more
