I was looking for a place to get a pedicure for a party of 3 and was able to call days before to make a reservation easily. It sits next Publix plaza on 301 & Falkenburg and easy to find. Very aesthetic inside and clean. When we arrived, we used the check in kiosk and were seated. The chairs for pedicures are massage chairs and very comfortable. My nail tech was very funny and entertaining, I enjoyed every bit and got the Luxe nail package. Only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is because on the website, it states 70 minutes but ours was only 45 minutes so we felt our experience fell a bit short of the time but nonetheless, I would return as it was a very great experience. Patty is amazing! Even though she opened a new pack of tools, she still sanitized them with the alcohol spray again right in front of me to ensure they were squeaky clean. She is very gentle and effective with how she does a pedicure. I had a little bit of pressure on my big from the beginning stages of an ingrown toenail but she was able to fix it up and it no longer hurts. I love this place a lot. I am always treated well and my nails always look amazing. They also do waxing and pedicures. Although I do prefer Hannah for my nails, I've worked with almost all the techs that work there and their works is always awesome. Also, with their expansion, there's less wait time and more space. Walked in and got helped immediately. I came in for a full set and ended up getting a pedicure as well. Pedicure was nice and I like the amount of options they have. I didn't get the name of the lady doing my pedicure but she was super sweet! Lily did my nails and I loved them the moment she was done shaping them. She took her time and I didn't feel rushed, even though they were busy. She was so nice and we talked and laughed. I finally found a place that I actually went too twice. Usually I find Nail salons where I leave unhappy and don't plan to go back but Lux Nails has changed that for me. The first time I went was right when they were opening for the day and they were already looking busy but they still sat me down to get started on my full set and wow I couldn't have been happier on my experience I left so happy and came back 3 weeks later when my nails still looked excellent (they were just grown out) to get a fill and just like the first time it was a great experience. If you want to find a perfectionist of a nail salonist who will never let anyone rush him and won't move on to the next nail until the one he's working on is perfect, it's Nghia. I actually followed him from his past salon to this one and have known if for two years. He is a 10/5. If you send him a photo of what you want before you come in, he will practice to make sure he can deliver, but no challenge is too much. Now I'm vietnamese so I understand what the staff is saying which is why I took off a one star. If only the customers could understand how unprofessional the comments they make sometimes (but I guess that's what a second language is for?) and they kept rushing Nghia. I had to translate for him when they asked him to hurry. But he refused. That's why his customer service is top notch. So if you want someone who will not cut corners, he's the one for you. The staff was welcoming to me as a walk in. They did excellent work! The pictures say it all. I notice they had MANY regular customers who they knew by name and conversed with them. Well I am changing my review....I received the worst manicure ever. I asked 3 times for my nailed to be shaped square with round corners....still got just square with sharp edges. The nail polish itself is all over the edges of my fingernails was not cleaned up There are also spots.missing near the edges and complete lines on the sides of the nail missed. Finally, I got the gel manicure which is supposed to last 2 weeks, my manicure is only 6 days old and is already peeling up because the edges were not done well. read more

More than halfway through I realized this would be my first and last visit. My nails were not cut proportionally, I got a "kind of" coffin shape, there are visible streaks, my cuticles are terrible, and she cut me twice. My pedicure was okay. So I thought I'd give this place a try. Recently moved to Tampa and I've only been to one other nail salon (which was amazing) Came in for a pedi and an acrylic set/ ombré. The pedi was amazing; reasonable price $34 Waited for about 20-30min to get someone to do my nails. Once I sat down, you could just tell the little Asian lady was mad. I tried to make conversation with her but she seemed like she didn't want to be bothered. Anyways I asked for red and black ombré. She said she could do it. I had a picture of what I wanted. As soon as she finishes I look at my nails and it's not what I asked for. Yes it's red and black but what poor quality! I wouldn't call it ombré. She tried covering up her poor mess with adding glitter to it. (I dislike glitter) What more was I supposed to say? but I was not pleased with her work. On top of that she charge me $57 for my nails. I looked at the price before hand and that was not on there list. I guess you get what you pay for. I was trying to find a cheaper place then where I went the first time to get my nails done. it's sad because they do great work. But getting them to do what *you* want and not what *they* want was like pulling teeth. I asked originally to soak off my black ombré set and do dip powder. The girl doing my toe nails said my ombré looks better than dip powder. I was like that's cool, I'll fill them but we're still going to need to cut them all the way down because I have a project at work tomorrow. Pedicure was lovely, no complaints. then I got sent to the table for my manicure. The woman who was doing them basically refused to cut them short and said that they look good and she "did not want to cut them." I don't particularly care what she wants, I want short nails. painted red. simple right? she drilled them down shorter and reshaped them. Still too long but I really just don't feel like asking for a fourth time. then we get to the painting and she says that they look fine, let's not paint them. They're perfect for Halloween. I. Don't. Careeeeee. I want red nails. no. instead she swiped a glitter top coat over my ring finger and said "at least one nail??" I told her I prefer them clear. She painted the other nails all clear and then looks at me. I said I guess it's happening since this glitter is already there. I'm honestly so irritated with myself for not insisting further for what I wanted, but I can't believe I basically had to debate with my nail person to get me functional nails for work the next day. hope they're not too long. read more

This is the worst nail salon I've ever been to. I paid over $100 for a horrible mani-pedi. First, the water was cold and I asked several times for warmer water. Then, my lady had long nails that were pushed into the bottom of my feet (not feeling great.) I was cut and instead of waiting until I stopped bleeding, the lady placed a top coat over the blood! I was in town and needed a place to get a simple mani/pedi on a Sunday. While I was pleased overall with my technician's skill set, the customer service experience was lacking. As I was washing my hands, a male employee sat the next client in my chair. I was not asked if my services were completed, which they were not. I was simply booted out of my seat. There was no arm melt to pool give nor reconcile for this action. Even if it had occurred in unbeknownst to the male employee, there was no apology or service recovery effort made. I mentioned how rude it was to seat the next client without ensuring that the current client's services were completed, the male employee simply shrugged his shoulder and requested payment. The presumed manager/owner attempted to rectify the situation by telling me that the male employee didn't understand due to language barrier. Not sure why she felt the need to say that when the manicure process is standard despite language spoken and/or understood. After a client washes their hands, they return to their seat/technician for finishing and/or polishing. This is standard practice. This was definitely my first and last time visiting Lux nails. read more

I called them and spoke to Hannah and asked if I could come in around 5pm for this, to which she said yes. I ended up working late and didn't arrive until almost 5:30, but Hannah still took care of me right away. I was meeting a friend for dinner and didn't think I'd have time to wax my arms, but Hannah assured me she would be fast and she was!! My daughter and I went here last weekend. It was her last weekend with me before leaving to her dad's for the summer, so I wanted to do something special together. We went to Starbucks then to here. My daughter got her nails and toes done. I just got my nails redone. The woman that did my nails did a great job. She took her time and the end result showed. My daughter is 7, so we just did a basic polish on her nails and toes. She had a good time, but I do wish they would have spent a little more time with her and on her. She is at an age where you can only do so much, and I understand that. She also did mess her toes up, and I'm thankful they fixed it for her. Overall, I had a good experience. Hopefully when I return though, I can move this to 5 stars. As mentioned, nothing wrong happened.
