I only go here for my nails. The acrylics do not come off! Love it. If they're ever running behind and you have to wait, they make it up to you and are very kind about it. They really do exceptional work and take extra time to make sure my nails look great. read more

I've been going to Lux since earlier this year and have never been disappointed. They are always friendly and honor my appointment time, if I've made one. The salon is ALWAYS clean and they have a huge selection of colors. I always get there early. Today I got a full set of acrylic nails with Shellac. Phil did my nails and did an AMAZING job. I had just taken my old set off and my nails were very weak. He was very careful and didn't go too rough. I also asked for the 'coffin' shaped nails. Very disappointed! My gel nails started coming off within a week after I got them. They are charging more money due to COVID-19 having to "sanitize" more. I am not sure but have you been in there lately. They could of taken the 3 months they were closed and really deep cleaned the place. That was the last time I will be visiting Lux. I had a manicure with shellac nail polish and one nail lifted in 4 days, and the rest of them after 7 days. You could just peel the polish right off!! I took the pieces of shellac in to show them and they did redo it for free, but still only lasted a week even using the OPI polish this time. They were not friendly or welcoming, were rushing and more expensive. Will not go back. read more

I was a walk-in shellac pedicure, and it was honestly the best pedicure i've ever had! They had like 4-5 different types of pedicures you could choose, from the classic normal pedicure one, to a $50.00 high end one. I ended up getting the "Extremely hot pedicure" which was only $45.00 and it included soooo many amazing things, such as hot rock and a leg sugar scrub along with some sort of hot wax bath for your feet. Cindy (I believe was her name) was super accommodating and even asked half way through if the water was still hot how i like it. Best leg and foot massage, and so happy with my french tip on my toes. I'm giving this place one star solely for the high quality gel nail polish. There is a good selection and the color lasts. Aside from that, Lux Nails was very disappointing. I made an appointment more than four hours prior to the time I wanted to come in. My sister and I arrived ten minutes early for our appointment at 7pm. (mani-pedi). We weren't seated for the pedi until 7:15, and the water was not ready for us until 7:20. Someone finally came to start on my toes at 7:35. My sister and expressed that we were a little crunched for time and with the late start we'd like to just get our toes painted and just shellac instead of full mani-pedi. My lady told me she was "almost done" with my pedi so I had to get the full treatment even though really she only just put lotion on my feet and I had quite a long time left to go. I felt like I was conned into paying for something I didn't want. Finally we get to my nails, at this point I told her I REALLY don't want a full manicure, just gel nails. She was mocking my sister and I with her coworker. I was charged an amount that didn't make much sense to me but she wouldn't explain the prices. I regret leaving a tip. I won't be returning to Lux Nails or recommending it to anyone who wants professional service. read more

Nails looked okay immediately after they were done. I got a full set and the top coat began to get soft and become almost like a gel after a couple of days. It was terrible. The experience itself was atrocious. Another lady and I were at the drying table for over 30 mins. The person who did my nails went to the back and seemingly forgot about me. Had a really really bad overall experience, I NEVER leave bad reviews. My hubby and I went in for a pedicure and the gentleman who did mine scrubbed my feet so hard that it felt like he was taking off skin, even the massage was painful and that's normally my favorite part. All of this aside something really scary happened. When I got home I noticed bruises forming on my heels and until this day (around a month later) I have some sort of irritated painful red rash/spot on one of my heels that I now need to go get checked at a doctor because it won't go away. Scary to think he rubbed my heel raw and possibly infected it. This is why I'm always weary of nail salons. The atmosphere looked nice but I should've looked at other reviews before trusting this place. DO NOT go here unless you want to risk an infection. I definitely regret it! read more

Let me give you the blow by blow: I walked in after deciding I was going to pamper myself. I'm a bit picky when it comes to my nails and since I hadn't tried here yet I thought I would give it a shot . Now keep in mind I'm very experienced when it comes to nails. My mom is a nail technician and I could probably count in the hundreds with how many cosmetology shows I've been too. Not to mention how many different places I've had my nails done. We were just hit with a massive snow storm so I called to make sure they were open. I could barely understand the lady and had to repeat myself about three times. This wasn't due to her accent but due to the fact the she sounded underwater and far away. I walked in and was promptly greeted by a gentleman. I had to wait a few minutes which was no big deal I already knew what I wanted anyways. When he finished I came over to his station and I explained I'm picky with my nails and told him how I wanted them. Pink and white French sculpted with acrylic I don't want him to add a tip I want it built square shape rounded corners and not too thick. He was fine and polite about everything except the sculpting. I'm not sure if he didn't know how or if he just didn't feel like doing it but I said whatever and got the tips. He started to remove my black nail polish and left about half of it on. And then got on the phone. Speaking to a client is one thing but a full blown conversation in Chinese that last roughly 8 minutes isn't acceptable. I told him I would wait until he finished he's conversation. I asked for acetone and a some cotton and took my polish off myself while I waited. The gentleman was very polite but had poor communication skills. Again this wasn't a language barrier issue but more so the I don't know how to strike up a conversation issue. So I sat there and stared blankly at the wall. Another worker finished with her client and came over and had another 10 minute or so conversation in Chinese with the guy working on my nails. So now 1. He can have a conversation just not with me and 2. They're having a full blown conversation IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE Infront of me! This woman clearly spoke English and I find it incredibly rude to speak another language Infront of clients. It makes them feel extremely self conscience. They must of noticed my disdain because she left and sat at her table and got on the phone and again had another conversation in Chinese. Dear lord apparently they didn't get the concept that it's rude. I asked the guy politely to ask her to continue her conversation in the back as it was rude and distracting. He didn't say a word but she stomped off. I'm very happy with the quality of my nails. I opted for a pedicure too which was incredible. The woman was sweet and knew what she was doing. I enjoyed the sterile packaging and would probably get another pedicure there too. my nails, I'm not sure yet. Although I like them, they didn't seem very sterile as i seen him hop customers and not sanitize a thing. Not even wiping off his table. My nail beds are currently incredibly sore because I think he filed too much too. I work in telecommunications and I'm on a phone or typing on a computer all day so work tomorrow won't be fun. but in the end I guess I could go through another hour every 3 weeks to get this result. My nails and feet look amazing my experience there however was poor. Great skill, lousy customer service. read more

I'm sad to say that I will not be going back any time soon. My sister and I had appointments today for pedicures. Walked in on time, waited in front area for 15 minutes before being moved back to chairs. Got back to the chairs and waited some more. My sister only had to wait 10 more minutes. I waited an additional 40 minutes. By the time the guy came over my water was cold and I was annoyed. The guy rushed so fast that he hurt me at every turn. My sister got done before me, they rushed her out of her chair up to the front. My pedicure from start to finish including horrible paint job was 16 minutes. My first time visit, walk in. Took me immediately, no waiting. The male technician was very rough and rude. He made me feel like I was a bother to him, from the minute I sat down. He would jerk my hand to the position he wanted it to be. When he started using the electric nail file (dremel) he ran it so fast that it was causing my fingers to burn. When I said something to him, he was angered and said that he did not touch my skin! I know he didn't, it was the speed and pressure he used on my nails. (I did not have tips, maybe he is not used to working with people with no tips). I left that salon in PAIN !! I have been getting my nails done for 30 years, never had an experience like this before. I went to Lux nails for over a year. I sent my daughter and her friends in to get their nails done for prom and they were treated terribly. They had an appointment and waited an hour to get in. Then the lady who did her toe nails left nail polish all over her toes and did a terrible job. Her gel acrylic nails looked like they were falling off. I went in the next day and explained that I would like them re done for her and that we don't have time to come in again for a few weeks now. Plus her fingers were very sore from the job he did. He said I could bring her in and they would fix them for free. When I came back in, they said that they would do them at half price. I told the lady that would not be acceptable with me and she just walked away and went to finish working on another customer and never said a word to me. Then the other lady was very rude and yelling in my face to go to another salon. I will NEVER go back to this salon with the terrible customer service and the way that they treat the younger kids. read more
