I went for a consultation with Haley the owner of Luxe yesterday. I had scalp allergy symptoms ( scalp burning sensation, itching and some small bumps ) 1-2 hours post hair color treatments with 2 of my former hair stylists. I told them about it, all they said was " I'll use something else ". Haley explained to me the different ingredients on hair dyes and did a skin test to make sure that I won't have allergic reactions again. So far no reactions. Haley also made an appointment for me next week if no reactions on skin test x 48 hrs.. Haley listened to me, acknowledged my concerns and told me what's best to do. None of my former hair stylist did that, they were always in a hurry. Thanks Haley. read more

Abbey is literally a life saver. I love red hair and HAVE ALWAYS wanted full copper. My issue is that I'm poor and needed to find a good middle ground with my love for red and my natural dark brown hair. She went ahead and suggested a balayage (I think?) and then added red over everything. I literally COULD NOT STOP STARING AT MY HAIR IN THE SUN IT LOOKED LIKE SHE PUT GOLD INTO MY STRANDS. I found the salon after reading an article about their grand opening last week. Booking was quick (over the webpage). I needed to get some uneven highlights fixed. The salon is cute and everyone was friendly but quality of work is not what I was hoping for. Granted I was not very specific on the end result, it I said multiple times I'd like to BRIGHTEN up (she even ask which blonde tone I like and I said warm tones) and even out the oddly placed highlights (done a few weeks ago in a different salon). I was there for roughly 3 1/2hrs.. she bleached my hair and let it sit for quite some time. When she added the toner it looked extremely dark and I started to be nervous... after she blow dried my hair it was ashy light brown?!? All that additional damage to my hair just to go darker!? I cried in the car.. now I have to wait weeks to get it redone and let my hair rest as it even after treatment she added feels fried, not that usually soft feel you have after getting your hair done. Leaving two starts as their prices are more than reasonable and she did offer do get me lighter, but why would I want to go back somewhere where I wasn't heard the first time ... I recently had the chance to visit Luxe Beauty Studio for a cut and color. It is a convenient location for me, off of Kingsbury, and hwy 50. There are many shades of blonde, and getting the shade you personally want is an art. I am so very happy with how my hair color turned out and my cut, too. I wish I could remember what the name of the hair products she used, as it made my hair feel full and healthy. I will update, as I have another appointment soon for a facial. Abbey gave me full consultation and then we agreed on the color and cut. I felt very heard and walked out with exactly what I wanted. Was in Tahoe and felt like pampering myself. This salon was close to our rental and I booked a facial there with Hayley. The salon is really pretty, the facial room was so warm and cozy. Hayley was so nice, made me feel comfortable and, most importantly, is very skilled at what she does. The facial was the best I've ever had, really quality products and lots of different techniques and instruments that felt so good and made my skin look amazing.
