Diversity of machines sizes and reversing dryers are great BUT the prices are WAY TOO HIGH! Depending on the day and employees, the place can be well kept or messy with machines unclean from previous clients. This laundromat should be immaculate considering how much they charge for their machines. I've visited this laundromat on different days and times of the week and have always found plenty of machines available. I love that there's a range of machine sizes, so no matter how many loads I need to do, I'm covered. The most recent time I went, I needed to catch up on some work while my laundry was ongoing, and the internet connection was super fast and reliable. There's also a lot of space to fold, which I really appreciate. My only note is that I tried to purchase laundry detergent through the vending machine, and it said there was none available even though I could clearly see it was fully stocked. Also, be aware that there will be a hold on your card for every machine you use. I also love the location because being close to some food spots and Trader Joe's means I can grab snacks while I wait. Overall, it's a really convenient and well-maintained laundromat which has made me look forward to something that I usually found tedious. read more

For starters if you use your own debit card or credit card it keeps a $15 dollar hold every time you use any machine! So the scam is buy one of their cards for a dollar to reload as much as you want! Went there for the first time last night. The place was clean, only 3 other people were there doing laundry, and I got 3 loads of laundry washed and dried in an hour. It's pricey. I spent a little over $25 to wash and dry 3 medium loads. If my machines weren't down at my building, it would have been $15. But there is definitely something to be said about getting your laundry done in an hour and decent parking. Also, I wish there was wifi. read more

Not bad just a typical fluff and fold/laundromat. I was in the area but I usually am not. There is cheaper around town, including one in Venice which is closer to me, but driving all the way there if you live over here costs more money not less. But they give you a free duffel bag so that makes up for the following price confusion. They quoted a $30 minimum for fluff and fold but then changed it to $32 which was weird, and then corrected me when I said that wasn't what was said the first time. So it amounts to just under 15 pounds. The place I went was 10lbs minimum and a $20 minimum. They charge $2.15/lb for next day, and my original spot was $2. So it's just a pricier area I guess. Not sure about that though, Venice is pretty pricey to me. It's a very big spot though, and one person on duty. I can't speak of their laundry services. Convenient location but not exactly safe at all hours of the day, then again that's the entire city of Los Angeles, rich mansions or ghetto. Depressing. read more

I really like this laundromat it's very clean and there's lots of parking. I do wish they had more extra large machines and a large machine with a delicate cycle (if that's even possible)? I go occasionally just for larger items so I don't know how prices compare to other laundromats. My only ick thing and it's (not with the laundromat), is that there's a guy cooking meat in the parking lot. So if it's a hot day and you want to sit outside in your car and get some fresh air you can't because it's very smokey. Probably if you went early enough or late enough, this wouldn't be an issue. The bad: The price increases every time I come back, so it's now $4.50 for two loads (there's no one load option,) and once you've already paid that amount -- but before the wash starts -- they spring an unexpected extra fee if you actually want to use hot water. An old fashioned bait and switch! Also, while they do seem to try to keep the place clean, I've picked up the occasional grease stain, the kind that ruins an item of clothing, using their machines. The good: The staff is nice and will sell you hangers cheap, and as mentioned they do try to keep it clean overall (and succeed.) Also, there's easy parking. read more

UPDATE: it's a bit of a drive but Luxe Laundries will still be my go-to laundromat. The staff is always wonderful and the place remains exceptionally clean(even inside the washers and dryers). Other places have wet towel odors and it's gross what you see in machines at other laundromats. Now I don't care for the recent price increase but please please add some more water to some of the machines(I'm sure it's just a setting). Came here because my apartment building's laundry room is closed for renovations. This place is clean, but is really expensive. They don't have any single load washers. -Double load) is $4.50 -Triple load washer is $5.75 -Quad load is $6.75 -$1.00 extra if you want hot water. No notice is posted about the additional fee. -Small dryers are $2.25 for 30 minutes + .25 for each additional five min. -Large dryers are $2.75 for 30 minutes + .25 for each additional five min. You can use a credit card but usage is capped at $20. If you need more than that you need to purchase one of their debit cards for $1. read more

The new employee is to difficult to complain something so simple, already twice happened, dryer machine is not working it take already my money out of my luxe laundry card but the machine have some error code. I complained about the problem but it seems this employee is not good. Probably his not for this kind of job! Please do something or give him some training how to handle problems at the laundromat! This is a great laundromat. It has lots of big, clean machines; the place itself is clean; all machines take credit cards; and there's even space in the parking lot. Coffee shop across the street and a 7-11 next door. Convenient. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because the dryers are really expensive. 2.75 for 30 minutes and unless you put it on hot your clothes won't dry in one shot. Even then they may not. (The fluff and fold is also pretty pricey but I didn't use it so maybe it's worth it.) If money is not an issue this place is great. read more

Hello , this email is in regards to a recent wash experience here at luxe laundries . I checked my card and I seen that there was two authorizations for $20 on my debit card when to wash the load it was $10.50 and I added 50 cents for hot water which was another $20 dollar hold on my debit card there is no signs posted in the laundromat stating you will have a hold on your card for double the amount of a wash . Also I went to dry my clothes and I was charged two times for two dryers when I swiped my card one time . This is a relatively new business and I've been here a handful of times. The initial deals were great and now it's a bit pricey but understandable because of the new equipment and cleanliness. Everything has been great until today (3/23) ...I showed up a few minutes before 10 and as I know and it's posted last wash is at 10:30pm so I'm unloading one load my daughter has two from my car and an older petite man tells me "you're too late I'm closing" mind you there's someone washing not drying washing. And as I said last wash posted at 10:30 so I told him. I usually come at this time, and your last wash time is in 30 mins so he had no choice but to let me wash but the way he said it to us arms crossed, shaking his head and tone. And then he says "well I will close at 11" what is he implying? I work and it's because of my work schedule that I'm here washing this late so I'd appreciate better customer service other employees are far better at it than this man. Please for everyone's peace of mind. The staff here is very helpful. However read carefully the credit card use policy next to the machines. There is a hold of $20 per swipe of your personal credit card. You need the purchase the lux card membership so this doesn't happen to you. This facility is extremely clean and the machines are nice. The staff is great. But ask for the Lux card. We learned the hard way by not asking and swiped our card on every machine. It was our first time here. Thank you to nice lady who worked with us and was extremely helpful. The dryers need a bit more heat in the 3 load machines but like I said the staff was helpful. read more

Just went to this laundromat for the first time since my apartment's laundry unit is so small and I have a car full of laundry. The facility is very clean and organized! As soon as I walked in Vaughn greeted me with a smilie and without asking grabs carts and walked me to my car to unload. I never had that type of service before. Every time I go the prices have been raised. $2 for a 30 minute dry? 5.50 for a two load wash and you have to pay extra unless you want to use cold water lol This place takes advantage of the lack of laundromats in the Silverlake area by price gauging the lower income people who are forced to use laundromats. Owner livelihood isn't an excuse when places just outside of this neighborhood charge far less. It's worth the extra mile or two to drive somewhere else to save yourself ten or fifteen dollars. read more

This has been my go-to laundromat because all of the machines in my apartment complex are always in use. The best part is that you can pay BY CARD! No quarters? NO PROBLEM! They have lots of machines from 2 load to 7 or 8 load laundry machines and plenty of regular and extra large drying machines. The staff is great, I see them wipe down machines regularly, and have never waited to use a machine or felt there's too many people. There's also a coffee shop, 7/11, and Trader Joe's nearby while you wait! read more

NO WATER. Second time I've come here in the afternoon and the washers do not fill with water. Should see a couple of inches in the bottom of the circular window and there was none. First time, attendant moved my clothes to different washer. This time he says it happens in afternoon in the middle aisle and did not move my clothes. So I moved my clothes to 4 washers in outer aisle AND NO WATER! Totally unacceptable. Can't come back if there is no water. I know they've been closed to have plumbers come but obviously not fixed. I went to this place since my usual was closed for labor day and I needed to wash... anyway made it here not only is this place more expensive than most , their a/c does not work the place feels humid and sticky it was dirty but that's not the reason why I would give this place 0 stars .... So back to how expensive it is , when the wash started I noticed the clothes weren't wet , the washing machines must be set at low water output or something because my clothes did not get soaked with water , they were basically dry washing ... when the cycle was over there were parts of the clothes that were you guessed it dry!!!! Like what is going on !? I feel like they purposefully do this to save on water costs without lowering the price to the customer ... dryers , are expensive most places let you drink dry cycles at 25 cents ,.. not this place 1.25 and clothes do not get dry ! read more
