Closet and Garage Remedy has been our go to for garage and pantry organization work for nearly a…read moreyear now. They have been utterly fantastic from consultation to design to installation. This review will focus initially on the pantry work, as I haven't finished doing the full organization on the garage yet! When we bought our house from the builder, we were past a number of option milestones. So we couldn't choose a wok/prep kitchen in lieu of a standard pantry. Unfortunately, the standard pantry seems to be where the builder chose to train their apprentices and it showed. Not a single shelf was level. It was a miserably boring grid of basic plywood and MDF. I tried my best to organize around it, but after 7 years of staring at wonky shelving, I called time. Jeff, our garage design expert, had left a brochure with drool worthy photos of professionally built pantries. My mind was made up - I was going to have a Grown Up Pantry! Parker, like Jeff, is a genius. Except Parker does interior work instead of garages - closets, pantries, etc. He sat down with me to talk through the foundational options and different choices we could make in the space we had, along with cost options. Parker was extremely iterative during this process, and this made all the difference to the project. Over time, my choices evolved as I did more research, or after I experienced the first stages of the build out. I decided to go big or go home, and have a quartz countertop with tile backsplash that would match the kitchen. The countertop would be critical for staging work in the pantry (my youngest daughter's passion is baking), as well as storage space during entertaining. Once the design was complete, work started almost immediately. Sylvia was a superhero with scheduling, working around our vacation, and the installation team (Jason and Johan, mostly) were fantastic: diligent, neat, and efficient. Parker's attention to detail during the whole process meant everything was done to the highest standard and anything that needed fixing was addressed straight away. Having run projects at work for decades, I saw that Parker lived and breathed a classic hands-on agile approach and the pantry turned out beautifully for it. I now have so much space that I liberated a few cabinets in my kitchen, with room to spare. The organization of the space means I can find everything I need quickly. If you have ever considered having an Insta-worthy pantry, I highly recommend you reach out to Parker for a consultation. Life's too short for boring pantries!

After years and years of hanging on to "things" I never used, sold or donated and thus making our garage a messy, unsightly and unusable place, I changed my mindset, thanks to Ariane and Shannon and couldn't be happier AND healthier. It feels much better to live in the present than to hang on to things from my past. These are things I decided someone else could much better use and enjoy, and the adage, if you haven't used it in a year, you don't "need" it, is so true. Ariane and Shannon helped me and my husband to sort, donate, toss or keep so many things we had saved for 20 or more years. They also offer to take items to donate as well. I learned about my city's (Fullerton) numerous opportunities for large item pick ups and extra trash pick ups (for an added fee) in the process. I became a familiar face at our local disposal place, which I (don't laugh) was kinda nervous about going to before, and that's why so many things didn't get "dumped." Our garage now has useable totes and shelves and designated spaces for items we truly need and use for our home and life. Big pluses for "The Clutter Nanny" are that both Ariane and Shannon are punctual, hard working, organized, great communicators and schedulers, conscientious, creative, and fantastic problem solvers. Now, and for our future, we have our two-car garage back and I look FORWARD to doing my laundry, storing and easily getting outdoor accessories and decor, easily finding camping items and tools to use indoors and outdoors. All our garage clutter is gone, and with this mindset, which Ariane and Shannon fostered in me, which feels and IS healthy, I am positive, I will not go back to clutter again. I even went to an estate sale two weeks after our de-cluttering, and didn't buy a thing; I just enjoyed myself. Thank you, Ariane and Shannon!

I'm seven months pregnant with our second baby, and our kitchen, pantry, and utility closet had become completely overwhelming. My husband and I did not have the time or energy to redo everything before the baby arrived. I especially needed help making our space work better for a toddler while preparing for newborn life again. They stepped in, understood exactly what we needed, and created practical solutions that made our home feel calm and manageable. At the end of the day it was something that needed to be done; something we were never going to do half as well as they did; and something that would lead to headaches and fights. We're so glad it was Ariane and Shannon doing it, not us. It was worth every penny. If you are thinking about booking them, plan ahead because their calendar fills up quickly.

Alice West and the Transform Your Space team are, hands down, the best in the business! I should…read moreknow because I hired Alice 5 times within 6 months. I was looking for a company because I had fallen into the trap of letting things go in terms of getting rid of older items, using my sons old room to store stuff, and generally being lazily complacent in certain areas of my house. Alice and team 'transformed' my walk- in closet and computer desk area, my son's old room (second bedroom) including closet, my kitchen cabinets, and my entire garage. I chose Transform Your Space because of my initial interaction with Alice. I found her website and saw exceptional reviews on various platforms, called, and expected to speak with an operator or administrator, but after talking for a few moments was pleasantly surprised to learn it was actually Alice after she identified herself. I had been going through some challenging times that lead my letting things get so disorganized and I was concerned I might be judged, that the tasks would be too overwhelming as I found them, and that there might be a lack of empathy. All of that went away literally in moments once Alice described her approach to her business and what she could accomplish. She really listened to me as I described what I needed done and my insecurities of letting someone into my home. The caring and ability to relate through her prior projects to me solidified my decision. She let me know that pictures were helpful to prepare her and team for how many people would be needed, time to complete projects, and gave an idea how best to approach it overall. I sent them for the first job and she immediately made me feel better that it wasn't that bad. We set the appointment and she gave me an estimate of the project cost along with the deposit required for the initial work which is later refunded. She also explained that they donate to Goodwill, work with assorted consignment stores, Working Women's Wardrobe (which I did donate some suits to especially after Alice explained that it helps those struggling to find work and need the clothing for interviews, etc). The best part is they take everything away including televisions and equipment of various kinds, and I kept asking Alice, "Can this be donated?", and she never said no! They give you itemized lists for tax purposes and email any done through organizations so you have it for your files. The day of my first appointment, I was still a little apprehensive because seeing a picture can be different from being face to face with the actual 'disaster' (as I referred to it as). Alice arrived right on time with a team member. She had a gentle and compassionate demeanor from the get go and I quickly felt like I was in good hands. She came with all necessary supplies including options to utilize her organizational bins, holders, etc. (she even got me a great plastic compressible ladder for my closet to reach taller shelves and that I now use throughout the house! She thinks of EVERYTHING!) She has a label maker that has made such a difference in accessing what I need after the fact. No more fumbling around and having to take everything out to find something! They bring trash bins and bags for sorting too. Alice is very dialed in to environmental concerns so is tenacious in the separating stages , including if something is hazardous waste. They start by tackling areas and separating items and then ask you to decide what you want to do with it. And before you know it, you start seeing clear progress which is so gratifying especially if you've been drowning in a mess of just too much stuff! As I hired Alice multiple times, it became my choice to stay nearby and work hand and hand to get things done quicker. I quickly realized I had been holding on to too many things that weren't important and she helped me 'let go' and really keep what was and is important. It was cathartic and I felt free from the burden of having so much. The finished product is so overwhelming that I felt like crying in relief! She even has a completion bell that they ring during for success made! I have never been so organized in my life now. I even say "What would Alice do?" when I now put things away in my new, neat world! I also want to give a big shout out to Jenny, Ashli, Lindsay, and Teena who supported Alice and my many projects. They were terrific! If you're reading this and really need an organizing service that does so many things, please contact Transform Your Space first. Best decision I've made in a long time! Alice is now a friend and I recommend her because she's the total package including with pricing. Don't suffer or wait any longer. Call or message them today!

I received a follow-up from my inquiry very quickly, we met for an assessment, and it was to easy to handle the payment for their services. The best part was how self-sufficient and autonomous the team was, which made all the difference for me trying to juggle a demanding job and childcare, etc. The team will work with YOU to understand how you function in your space- and then make sure that whatever system is put in place supports your usual routine!! Here's the key: they do this so the work they do can be easily maintained going forward. This is an investment into your home, your wellness, your sanity, your relationship... and so much more! In the meantime, I will be diving into Marla's book, The Clutter Remedy, to be reminded of what I've learned so far, and to keep up my beautiful and organized space. I've only read the first chapter and I am already just so happy that I invested into myself. Thank you Marla + Team at I-deal-lifestyle!

Marla is quick to brag about unrelated job credentials. I should of known then. I have used professional organizers before and was very happy. Never a problem! *Further, I am insulted buy her comments & insinuations after posting this review which are absurd and lame excuses. No one babysat my teenage son or my little girl! And for 30 hrs?! Really? This woman is nuts! Even one of her workers told me she was crazy!) My nanny and my other hired workers witnessed her poor service and commented on it every time. Yes, MY NANNY who was full time -child care for my daughter was always present- Not strangers I hired to unpack & organize my home. Absurd! The college girls chose to play with my daughter. It wasn't anything I asked for or preferred. I hired them for a specific job totally unrelated to my kids- what an insult to suggest otherwise. And, I did assist when asked- wasn't sickly or absent- just exhausted after this drama experience. *Based on Yelp reviews I decided to try Marla for a 2 bed, 1000 sq ft move into a 3 bed, 3 bath 1700 sq ft brand new, high-end gated community home 15 miles away. The job was to pack my home, move me into the new home, unpack and organize my new home so that I could be moved in quickly and not interrupt my work schedule. Marla assured me they were trained and could do this seamlessly without having me manage the job or interfere with their work. It was all clear and agreed prior to hiring Marla. No surprises on my end. I am a busy, professional single mom so I had no issue paying for and hiring a professional to make my life easier. **I wasn't seeking a cheap solution rather a much needed professional service. I have no problem paying for quality. If I was looking for budget I would of hired the desperate men in front of Home Depot! Marla was never present and although her team is very nice, they are NOT professionally trained organizers. Her team is just young college kids who did pack my house quickly... That was great but NOT organizational pros. Proof is in the photos I will attach to this review. (Somehow photos were taken off Yelp?! That's suspicious!) they just showed lack of organization- nothing more. Marla suggested I use her team to actually move instead of a moving company. The move was to be expected with their limited moving experience however I was still satisfied. Didn't feel money was wasted. I saw the labor and effort however it was nothing to refer or brag about. Things changed once I moved into the new home. It was agreed to unpack my home and make my home look very neat & organized. Marla bragged of feng shui experience and other ideas I liked. Her team packed my home so I assumed by the labeled boxes they would know where things basically belong... Being a professional organizing company. Basically unpacking consisted of just opening boxes putting items alla wherever, and leaving piles of boxes and trash in front of the home. I had to re-do the unpacking and organizing that was done. Even a simple linen closet is linens taken straight from the box, not refolded. Looked like they were flung onto the shelves. My kitchen was unpacked by the nicest girl but items were not well thought out as they were put away so the flow of the kitchen is totally off. Things were unpacked without any thought. No order. The crew claims they worked hard and the house didn't have enough space however this is a much larger home then from where I moved- double in size in an upscale gated community. My prior home was not cluttered and was a much smaller space. I had very little stored in garage so the excuses were not adding up. I understand moving is challenging but this was a job going downhill quickly. The unpacking and organizing was not high quality at all. My new home was left with boxes still in the garage pilled high and furniture never made it to the correct rooms. After 2 days of unpacking with Marla's company I decided to cancel the rest of the work. I just wanted them out! I feel after nearly $2000. That this was absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional and I was being duped. Over promised, over sold and under delivered. I didn't want to continue paying them for sloppy work although would have continued to pay them to finish the job if they were worth it. A professional moving company would of been less expensive and would of done the same quality of work or better...I was looking for ORGANIZATION & QUALITY and willing to pay for it. Since Marla I hired a real certified company and the difference was monumental

One day, I looked around and had enough! I started to research home organizers and read tons of reviews for different companies. I reached out to a couple but a call with Jenn sealed the deal. Jenn listened carefully to our needs, got an idea of what we needed, and walked me through her process. I really appreciated that she intended to come prepared with all of the organization tools she'd need, requesting measurements of my cabinets/storage spaces well in advance so she can shop for the perfect bins, etc for our spaces. She also gave me a quote and time estimate that was extremely reasonable. We decided on two days beforehand and in anticipation of all of the *stuff* we'd be clearing out, Jenn also organized a donation pickup that would come straight to our door! On the first day, Jenn arrived with her car full of storage bins. We walked her through the kitchen, showing her what items were used most frequently, how we cook, etc. Jenn was super thoughtful in the questions she'd ask to maximize the utility of our kitchen space. Throughout the day, Jenn would check in to ask about items to be thrown away, how often we use certain ingredients, etc. The end result was a beautifully organized kitchen space that was *functional*. Bonus - we could see our kitchen counters again!! The way she organized everything just made sense - she truly has a gift for this. I also wanted to note that I was working from home while Jenn was organizing in the kitchen and she was so respectful of our time and patient while I was held up on work calls. The second day went just as smoothly. We had a storage cabinet that was just an explosion of random items we couldn't find proper places for, and Jenn somehow found a way to find make sense of the mess! Can't thank Jenn enough for the magic she worked! We will definitely be calling her again to help with our closet spaces. Thank you, Jenn!

The true value is the condition in which my space is in when she leaves my home each time: I don't feel weighed down by the clutter and everything has a home. I thought it would be a luxury to afford this service but I can't imagine having to do everything she did all alone with a 9 month old baby at home with me. I'm eternally grateful for her expertise, patience and compassion through the process!
