On Day 1, Laura came; she's great--super-organized, very efficient and good company too! On Day 2, Laura came back & was joined by Jenny, another great organizer who is also very pleasant to work with and wonderfully organized & efficient. These two ladies are absolute gems! They both worked hard & steadily, and even managed to keep *me* on task (no small feat!). I am so very pleased with how much we got done in just two half-days. Laura & Jenny even took a bunch of stuff away to be donated to various places, which helped me out a lot, because I'm not able to do much bending or lifting. We were having trouble finding a team that could help us sort and organize over 40 years of accumulated memories, belongings, trash, etc. in my Mother's 2500 square foot house. We met with Alice and did a walk-thru of the home. She was very confident that her team could help, and gave us a reasonable estimate and a timeline of only 4 days to get the house back into shape. Having attempted (and failed) this type of task 7 times over the past 15 years ourselves, we were skeptical that it could be done at all, let alone in only 4 days, but we put down a deposit and scheduled the job. I just moved cross-state, and I'm pretty sure Alice West is an angel sent directly from God. The woman is the energizer bunny: always doing one more thing to help you, outgoing, friendly, gentle and understanding during the upheaval that is moving. Plus, because of doing this for years, knows every tip and trick in the book to make everything go smoothly. Always right on target when estimating how long a project will take, whether it's an organizing project, or packing/unpacking for a move. I could not have done all that was necessary by myself -- on either end. I flew Alice to my new home to help unpack and organize -- I knew I would have been a teary heap in the corner if I hadn't. In three days with her, I've ordered the rugs, curtains and accessory-furniture that will make my new place a sanctuary/home office that I love. I worked with Alice to clean out and organize my garage and she was AMAZING! At first I wasn't sure it was worth it to pay for help to clear out clutter, but it was so worth it! At 8+ months pregnant, my nesting project was to finish unpacking moving boxes in garage, donate misc items and organize the chaos that was my garage. Alice arrived on time and ready to work. She seems petite, but looks can be deceiving because she is super strong and was able to move and carry things like nothing! She works quickly and efficiently and gives you ideas on how to best organize and maximize your space. She brings a Mary Poppins like bag with everything from pop-up trash and donations bags, to extra storage boxes and a label maker! She also comes in a minivan and is able to fold up recycling boxes and bag up all donations and take them with her! (Even half used toiletries she brings to a shelter!) She also did some quick Craigslisting to sell any nicer donation items that I had and scheduled a donation pick-up for a giant 11ft couch (when I couldn't find any charity to take it!). More than that, she is a joy to spend hours working with, and is sweet, friendly and personable. She gets you excited to transform your space! Alice and her two woman team finished our garage transformation today, and my husband and I are delighted. In fact, we keep wandering out in the garage just to marvel over it. I found Alice via Google and then checked out her Yelp ratings, as I did with a couple of other professional organizers. Alice returned my call promptly, appeared at our appointment on time, and gave me a reasonable estimate. I hired her on the spot and never met with anyone else. Alice is just plain genuine and a real pro. She estimated our project at 2 days, and her estimate was right on the money. What I specially appreciated, however, is that Alice and her team finish the job. They suggested donating some of our discards, and suggested putting some other stuff on eBay. And they did it all! Alice and her crew were absolutely amazing. They helped us pack and downsize for a long distance move. Our last move the movers packed for us and it was a mess and we never really settled into this place like we wanted to. We had way too much stuff and I was completely overwhelmed by the thought of packing. Using Transform your Space was so much better than movers to pack and the cost for packing is only more because they are spending the time to get you organized to make it easier on the other side. Hourly rate is not that different though. My experiencw with movers is they just throw things into a box. I've had so many things damaged by liquids leaking or just not being able to find things on the other side. Here she helped us sort through what we don't need, numbered and inventoried boxes, helped us post to sel, And haul off donations. I was skeptical it could all get done within the estimate given and in our time and budget requirements and she was super close. My father recently passed away and my mom has monumental amounts of stuff to declutter. My mom has been in her house for over 30 years and not much has exited her home since moving there. Alice and Shani came with their various plastic bins and a label making machine. I took one look at the label machine and scoffed. There is no way we are at a point to use a label machine.
