Long overdue review. Mike did our closets about five years ago, and I recently called him for a question about one of the dressers within our closet. He was gracious enough to patiently walk me through how to remove a drawer to retrieve an item that had fallen behind. I'm posting my review from google because it says all you need to know: Mr. Mike's Organizational Designs wins hands down over any of the other closet "designers" that will try to tempt you with coupons and fake deals. I'll put it this way: Buy nice, or buy twice. His materials are custom made for your space, and clearly high quality. You won't be dealing with delamination and chipped corners in a year. The hardware is high quality and he'll guide you to choosing styles that complement your entire home aesthetic. He also does all the finish work you thought was included with the other guys, but isn't. By that I mean: repairing any spots on the walls that need it, painting where needed, and expertly installing trims to complete the look. These are custom-designed organizational spaces, after all! All the workers are very nice and respectful too. We were so impressed, my husband and I expanded our budget to include not only our walk-in closet, but a much needed linen closet and a gigantic pantry and cabinetry to make our laundry area functional. Our future projects include two reach-in kids' closets, some craft room organization, a coat closet, and our garage. Like I said, Mr. Mike is awesome. And it's a local family business. We love the closet system of mr Mike the rods are wonderfully designed so it's easy to move up and down without screws or drilling. The shelves are also designed to be easily adjustable. When you first inquire they will set you up with a designer. Ellie was professional and super helpful with coming up with a design that was within budget but still with the details/functionality that I envisioned. She wore bootie covers so my floors wouldn't get dirty so love their consideration. It's about 2-4 hours for her to measure design and show me a 3d version which is essential when making your decision. After sitting on it for one night I had a few changes in mind and she was able to get the changes done. You are paying for what you get so if you want less expensive then you are taking out some panels and depending on what the closet is used for it's an option. I wasn't intending to do all 4 closets but with the cost and options my husband and decided to just go for it. The install took 2 days from 9-3:30 approximately and there is a waitlist about 4-5 weeks. The team was on time and professional to work with. Originally they forgot to install my accessories but after contacting mr Mike; Javier came out the following day to do the Install and threw in a extra belt rack! Thank you! My husband was on a conference call and he patiently waited until he was done so it wouldn't disturb him impeccable service ! Mr Mike himself is responsive with all my questions and concerns. Mr Mike team are experts at what they do and are wonderful to work with. From start to finish I'm so happy with the service I got from MrMikes. It started with Kim coming to do the initial designs. She stayed two hours and created the design in front of me. Her attention to detail was incredible!! She measured the length of my longest shirt to make sure it wouldn't drag (I never even thought about it). She also was super responsive over text. Coming up to install I was nervous. We're remodeling other parts of our house and those contractors have been unreliable. However, I got a text from Kim and MrMike a couple days before install to make sure I knew the time and process. Now the install...so happy!! Antonio was the main guy and he was fast, respectful of our home, and on time. The look is incredible! He installed four closets in two days, finishing early. There was no mess left over and the closets were ready for me to start organizing immediately. Before the consultation with Kim, I had two other closet companies in Orange County. One didn't even show up for the consult. The other did a 20 minute consult and then ghosted me! I recently renovated my master bedroom closet, added a media wall to the master bedroom and added a large back stock/laundry hamper cabinet to the master bathroom. Working with Mike was such a breeze. He wasn't pushy at all. After he came to my home to take measurements, put together a design and provide me with an estimate, I didn't move forward with the project until months later. Being that this is not an inexpensive project, I needed to take the time to do my homework and move forward with the company I felt would do the best job. After months of research, I decided to go with Mike despite his price not being the lowest. Although I love a good deal, I also believe you get what you pay for. My husband and I both work so the only time we could meet with Mike was on the weekend only, which he did not hesitate. Two weeks ago our closet shelving completely collapsed and ripped from the wall. It looks like the original installers didn't use the studs to attach them. I called Mr. Mike's and spoke with Mike around 8:00 AM and he had a consultant out to see me by 1:30 PM the same day. When I spoke with Mr. Mike on the phone he gave me a general quote based on my description and then the designer/consultant Daniel came and gave me a visual design and talked things through with me about preferences and options. I ended up getting a second quote just to compare. The quote was a little more expensive than Mr. Mike's but it would take 5-8 weeks before an install could happen. I am literally due with baby #3 any day and Mr. Mike gave me an install date of about 7 business days - we were sold! Not only that, but they were able to replicate the second quotes design concept, which I liked a little more than what I came up with during my consult with Daniel (not his fault for that, my idea just changed). I'm a pretty skeptical person, as I have been burned by other contractors, but Mr. Mike's team was amazing! The install was seamless, they laid out covers to not scratch our hardwood and patched up the holes and painted (we provided the paint). I would recommend them to anyone looking for a closet organization install. Excellent service and quality. I'll be saving up to do my kid's closets with them next year. read more
