Meh, it's a mediocre place to get your nails done, nothing special or awesome about it. It is nice and clean, people are also nice but the job done was very underwhelming. My tech seemed like she was distracted or in a rush, walked away a few times, did a sloppy job, some nails longer and rougher than others, color thinner or lacking in some areas, etc. With so many salon options we have in the area, I prefer to go elsewhere. read more

Not worth the price in my opinion, recently moved from California and for the amount I pay at Luxe last couple times could of got me way better sets elsewhere. They tried and pressure me into doing different style then what I asked for originally, always seem to rush, and don't explain pricing before hand like most over places do. Honestly feel like I got over charged just because they think they can. Most of the staff are nice and friendly but my problem is they can't justify their pricing and I have a issue with that. read more

Buyer beware is right! I've been twice now and will not be back. I gave this place a try because it's right up the street from my house and I had coupons. For my first visit, I went in for nexgen pink and white nails. I arrived about an hour before closing time and waited a few minutes because they were down a little on staff. No big deal on waiting and they were apologetic about it and offered me wine and soft drinks. My turn came and the woman who did my nails did a good enough job, however I was a little put off by her repeatedly saying how ready to go home she was. I felt bad for having her do my nails because she clearly wanted to be done working but then again, I did come in an hour before close - not five minutes before - it's her job and they were still open. C'est la vie... I decided to go in again a few weeks later for nexgen color on my hands and a gel pedi. Keep in mind, I've been getting both nexgen manis and gel pedis for over a year now at the place I went to previously so I'm pretty used to how things go. My mani was fine but the middle-aged gentleman who was doing my pedi was cleaning up my nails, taking care of the cuticles, etc when I noticed him digging his tool into the inner inside of my big right toe. It was uncomfortable for sure but I didn't speak up because I assumed he knew what he was doing and it was going to help my cuticles. So there's that and then I was done. I went to pay and noticed they charged a little more than I thought it would be. I looked at my receipt and one of the other reviewers on here was right... they charged me an additional $5 for take-off service. I was not charged this the first time I visited this nail salon and I know my other nail place I went to previously didn't charge this (or if they did, it was just built in to the price of the manis/pedis-but I don't think it's the norm unless you are going from gel or nexgen back to your own nails). Again, annoying but whatever. The kicker though is the irritation followed by INFECTION that ensued in my big right toe. The man that did my pedi who dug his tool into my toe caused a cut which infected my toe (picture attached). Like I said before, it was uncomfortable, but became more painful by the day. It sounds silly because it's a toe, but I was going on vacation following this which required me to do quite a bit of walking. Let me tell you, wearing closed-toed shoes over an infected big toe is quite a treat. I was out of the country so there was nowhere really for me to get it treated. Now I am back and went to the dr and was put on antibiotics. They've helped decrease the redness, swelling and (pardon me) puss-filled bubble that was created around my toe. So to sum things up, I am not happy at all with this place and will not be back. Even if they reached out to offer some sort of service, I would not take it unless it was a refund for the pedi I had a few weeks ago. I rarely give bad reviews unless something really went wrong and I'm still fuming about this experience. Go at your own risk! ***UPDATE*** Went back on 6.9.17 because the manager reached out to me on Yelp requesting to make things right. The service was better and I left happy. Most importantly, I didn't leave with an infection! I think they've made improvements and I will be happy to return. I will consider the prior visit a one-off and know that experience was used as a training opportunity for the staff. read more

Got my nails done and overall horrible experience. The man doing my nails was on the older end and rushed through the entire process. Clearly felt like he wanted to move into the next customer. The nail polish was really thin and messy. If I am going to pay a fortune to get my nails done I would expect the bare minimum right? I'd expect my nails to be clean and neatly done. I had to redo my nails when I got home. Also the man didn't even buff my feet. Literally spent a whole 5 seconds buffing my feet. He did not get any of the dead skin off. I mean I buff my feet on a daily so my feet look pretty good but I was hopping my feet would would be fully cleaned at the nail salon. That was sooo not the case here. Pretty upset. My baby cousin's nails were also pretty messily done. She is a kid and they spent 5 mins doing her nails, which isn't the problem. But when I looked at her nails, I found nail polish outside her nail beds. Again, the bare minimum at a nail salon are neat nails. Even I could have painted her nails at home. Overall bad experience and very disappointed. Will not be coming back. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND LUXE NAIL SALON ON W. EXCHANGE PKWY ALLEN TEXAS. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS. I was told by Jesse on a certain day I was about to pay for services rendered that something was fraudulent about the debit card I had used in the past. I immediately used my credit card to pay $271 covering the past transactions and the one for that day. I asked for the papers and informed her that I would get in touch with my ex's bank to figure out what was going on. Bank of America confirmed my ex disputed the transactions and later on confirmed the transactions were authorized. They also confirmed that the dispute was in Luxe nail's favor. That means she was double paid for the past transactions amounting to a total of $251. I have tried to reach out to Jesse to have this resolved, but to no avail. I have been getting the run around from her over this issue. I text her personally and told her we needed to resolve this so I can get my money back but to no avail. I have businesses and this is not how I treat my clients. I will never recommend LUXE nail salon, Allen, Tx read more

I've been here twice. Once for a pedi and once for a set with nextgen. The pedicure experience was great, I paid for one of the ore expensive pedicure experiences and got my money's worth. The lady took the time to massage me. At the end of the pedicure, she noticed the top coat dried super funky and left a texture on the polish. She asked if I had time so she could just repaint. Thankfully, I did. Some people would get upset but I appreciated her saying something and wanting to correct it. The mani was just okay. It was done by a younger girl and although her work was good, she missed a few spots on the edges and my nails didn't even last a week until they started to fall off. I've never had that happen and wasn't doing anything rough to warrant them falling off. Most of the time, my nails will last 3 weeks until one starts to get loose or fall off. I may give it another shot but hopefully I get my moneys worth for the manicure. read more

My pedi was excellent, Don did an incredible job. That's where it ends. My Nextgen was rushed and is so sloppy and bad, I'm considering going to get them redone someplace else. He literally messed up a nail and rather than fix put the color I wanted over it, so of course now they don't match. She does a great job, and is fast as well, so you aren't sitting around. Everyone there is BEYOND nice. The manager greets you by name when you come in which is so appreciated. I've been going here for quite some time now. First off like every nail shop got find the right person that just knows how to do it right. So with that said Holly is my one and only. When I first started going to her for my Nexgen my nails were nonexistent. I was a terrible nail bitter. Mainly triggered by stress, But after 2 months she has help me grow out my natural and strengthened them greatly. Every time I go I don't feel rush, I'm relaxed, and she still has me out the door within an hour if I'm doing nexgen and my eyebrow wax. I use Holly for everything wax, nails and pedicures. She knows me so well that she just knows what to do and has even gotten me change my color palette. I normally a super dark or super light nail color person. But lately I've been rocking coral, blush and even a bright red for the summer. It doesn't matter what it is I can always stop in and get something done. Even the manager knows she's the only one I want. Lol. Place is super clean and relaxing. They cater to you and offer a lot of great specials. Currently they are running a 15% off services if $16 or more. Mom thru wed only. Holly's off on Monday but she knows her stuff and is well worth it. The second time, I waited with acetone in foil for so long my fingers started to burn. The lady up front was very rude and it took forever to get someone to come over to give me my manicure. I felt like such an inconvenience to them. It wasn't like it was closing time; it was 11 am! They also allowed outside solicitors to come in and sales pitch their customers.
