Over…read moremultiple visits, the quality and conduct were consistently unacceptable: The first technician barely worked and spent much of the time on his phone. I requested that he not be sent back. The second technician responded with an unprofessional attitude any time I asked a basic question. The third technician repeatedly missed items that were supposed to be completed weekly, leaving me to discover what was skipped after the fact. This company appears to hire people who take little pride in their work, yet they still charge as if the full service was completed. I have video camera proof documenting technicians not performing the work they're billing for. When I raised these concerns with management, I was made to feel like I was the problem--despite the evidence. Rather than taking responsibility and correcting the service issues, I was told they would "continue servicing the pool until I find someone else," which felt like a dismissive way to avoid accountability. The final straw was a phone conversation where I asked, "Why do you think I'm unhappy?" Instead of addressing the documented service failures, the person I spoke to made up a false claim that I was upset because the technicians "don't speak English." That was completely untrue and frankly offensive--especially since my concerns were always about missed services and unprofessional behavior. For the record, I've been a respectful and generous customer and have tipped workers with cash and drinks. I'm ending service and would not recommend this company to anyone who expects reliable work, honest billing, and professional customer service.

I reached out the ABS and a rep named Stefan came to our place and we reviewed all that we wanted to do. He promised to provide a proposal and some layout ideas in a week or so as it was near Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving I reached out to him and he told me he was "working on it" and would get back to me by the end of the week. The week ended and I waited until early the following week to reach out to him but I never heard back. I called the company and the person who answered told me the system showed he had sent the proposal - well I never got it. I made it clear that I had not gotten it and that I was frustrated that Stefan had basically ghosted me. The person I spoke to assured me she would email the sales manager and I said "And you'll CC me on that email so I know you did?" The person didn't seem to understand what I meant and she repeated that she would email the sales manager and this time I said, "And you'll include me on that email?" to which she replied she was unable to do that. I told her how ridiculous that as and say goodbye. Now, surprisingly, that evening I got a call from Michael the sales manager who told me that Stefan had a family issue and needed to take a leave of absence but that he would take over the project. I emailed him scaled drawings of our bathrooms along with photos and suggested that he could put together some layout ideas and a proposal based on that along with whatever information Stefan had put in to their system. Well, none of that ever materialized but my wife and I did visit their showroom and meet with Michael to, in theory, finalize some ideas and get a proposal. However, he was ill prepared, seeming to have not looked at the drawings I had sent him. And not surprisingly we never heard back from him despite one last email asking if he was still interested in the project. So either our project was to big for them or they are just incompetent.

Before I continue, I would like to say to anyone from AB&S who is reading this: Look for any opinions. What I'm going to type is 100% factual. We were charged over $5,000 more than what Home Depot would have charged for the same job. The shower was NOT installed according to contract, and I'm concerned about how that will affect the resale value of my condo. The price we were quoted was over $6,500 above what we found out too late was what Home Depot would have charged. The salesman from AB&S said if we signed up right then he would take $1,500 off the price. Unfortunately, that appealed to my wife, and we got screwed. Be aware of that sales tactic. Also be careful for this: I thought we had 30 days to submit in writing that we wanted our deposit money back. It turned out to only be 3 days. Mathematically, the job could have been completed in two days at most. I complained after the installer left on the third day that he only spent two hours working each day; Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Only then was I told that he would stay full days until the job was done. Again, all fact and no opinion. The grab bar was installed on the wrong wall. As a result, I could not stand straight in the shower without being squeezed between the grab bar and the door handle. I had to stand at a slant. After three weeks of that, I gave up and removed the grab bar myself. Now there is hardware on the wall where the grab bar used to be so water doesn't get in the holes and cause mold to grow behind the wall. Someone was going to come seal those holes with silicone, which AB&S told me I had to pay for, and reinstall the grab bar on the correct wall. No one bothered to call me back when I asked when they were coming. There was one person at AB&S who I felt was the most helpful, but when I asked to speak with him, I was told he was no longer with the company. We now have a shower with no grab bar, unsightly hardware on the wall, a drain that constantly needs cleaning or water will pool, and a shower head with less water pressure than our previous one. Again I remind you that none of this is my opinion. It is 100% factual. Do not hire American Bath and Shower.

He did not Respect Our Patio Furniture or Pool Area Surroundings. The Decline in Cleaning was Rapid, No Scrubbing, Minimal Vacuum Usage, Chemical Levels were Extremely Low, with Problem After Problem. We are not ones to Complain but with a Service you Pay for Monthly this should not be the Case. After Multiple Complaints over a Span of almost a Year I decided to Look for a New Pool Company. Overall, I'm Extremely Happy with Our New Pool Company. They notified us of the Chemical Levels being Extra Low and what needed to be done to Fix the Issue.
